Massed Formations

Rate this book
The Teutons have invaded, and the Marshal Gaeton D'Amrignon is unprepared. His standing army is small and underfunded; his closest ally has already been defeated. But like all marshals, D'Amrignon is no longer an ordinary he is a champion, able to bend reality to give him control over his own strength and speed. Gathering what forces and other champions he can, D'Amrignon concocts a bold plan to defeat an invading army twice his size.

But the Teutons are lead by his old enemy, the Marshal Junker. And Junker has champions with him as well, more than anyone has ever seen, deployed in a way no one understands. With an invading army only days away, D'Amrignon will have to strike fast and hard in order to repel the Teutons, without falling for Junker's tricks.

Unless Junker isn't playing tricks at all... and has rewritten the rules of champion warfare.

Massed Formations is a 6000 word medieval fantasy short of a desperate defense in a world where a few warriors are worth a thousand, and how the face of war adapts to that reality.
