Still super interesting on the 3rd book

I did spend a lot of time reminding myself that the captain is only 19 and that the pacing is super fast (3 books take place over 5 days or so) so no there isn’t much character growth yet. I am having a ton of fun with the series and will look for the next book.

frankly there was so much craziness, so many surprises in the first quarter of the book i thought my head might explode and couldn’t see how i’d keep up. this is faster paced than the last two with the most thrilling cliff hanger of all, or maybe i just feel that way because book four doesn’t exist yet?

Great “book”, though, honestly, it feels like these first three books would have made a real book. But, when you crank out a book a month, I guess they end up feeling more like an episode than a novel.

Still, this aside, great writing and development.

Excellent series! Got hooked from early into the first book and had to buy the rest. After reading the thurd book though, I'm upset that the next book isn't written yet. Authors can be so selfish with their time. Alas, I must wait.

This one answers some questions but then asks more. I thought it odd that it was written in 2015 and there had been nothing published since. The GOOD news is that Elle is working on #4 now with #s 5 and 6 to follow.

Fantastic

Wonderful follow-up to the first two books in this series! Found out some answers to some questions from the previous story and now I have more questions to find the answers to in the coming adventures! Can't wait!!

Right in the official description it promises "More books coming in this series in 2016!" Yet here we are at the tail end of 2024 and still nothing. I don't appreciate being deceived into spending time and money on an incomplete series that wasn't continued as promised.

Loved the series! Disappointed that the author spent so much time world building and just ends the story here. It feels like the story is just beginning. Wish there were more in this series!

Spoiler Alert…I loved Cass. She is strong, smart (sometimes) funny, scary badass and yes, naive. A fun read but to end where it does? Very disappointing. No closure.

I really liked this series, but it feels like there should be a book 4. There are still some loose ends at the end of book 3.

Book Three

I hate cliffhangers. They plug rocks. I won’t be looking for Book Four, no matter how much I want to know what happens next.

And the story continues.

Cass is still learning how to be a captain and the crew of the Anarchy are still growing together. DS Anarchy are set to meet with the Alliance for the first time; it’s just a shame things don’t really go according to plan. It seems nothing comes easy for our Cass Kennedy.

I found myself asking the same sorts of questions Cass was as the story unfolds. Who can she trust? What is his deal? How on earth is she going to get herself out of this one? You ride the highs and lows with the young captain as things play out. This is part of what I love about Elle Casey’s writing, you get so swept up in the story that you can’t help but feel for the characters.

I find it hard to pick a favourite character at this point as I love most of the crew. They are such a group of misfits. What I like about our fearless captain though, is the fact that she isn’t afraid to think for herself and go against the grain to do what’s right. Cass also learns from her mistakes and that’s never more obvious than when she gets a kind of second chance to right a wrong towards the end of this book. She’s courageous, loyal and she kicks ass; what more can you ask for in a main character?

I'm a little disappointed in Book 3. The ideas are still really solid and very engaging, but the book feels rushed and lacking polish. It needed to mature and develop a bit more to really hit the sweet spot.

We're still following the 'episodic' formula, but this time it barely even felt like an episode. A few more ideas were introduced, nothing new was really resolved, and it ends on an unsatisfying cliffhanger. The action is fantastic, and the characters are amusing, but the 'rushed' feeling persists through everything from the lack of resolution to the slapstick comedy sequences. Chapters end in bizarre places, cutting sequences in half sometimes. The jokes even sometimes trip over themselves by repeating themselves or explaining themselves to you, almost as if it got a quick editing brush-over and something was left behind that was meant to be excised. It all could have benefitted from a bit more care and attention.

I still love the story, and the characters, and the universe, and I would like to know what happens... but at 5 bucks a pop, I'd be tempted to sit back and wait to see if an anthologized version is released that combines them all once they're done. It's almost a shame to read them now if they might get polished into a real blockbuster later.

So much fun! The continuation of the adventures of Cass Kennedy and the crew of the DS Anarchy are as satisfying as the previous ones. The strength of the series is the exceptional writing of Elle Casey (smooth an effortless). The characters are strong as ever and their banter is amusing and offer some characters progression. Slowly but surely the author adds layers to the plot and the you get the feeling that the battle lines are being drawn. My only drawback with the series is the lack of real action sequence, and having recently discover another series (Fallen Empire by Lindsay Buroker) that is very similar in style, story and characters but with non-stop action, this little drawback might become bigger in the future. But so far, the Drifters Alliance series is the best written, 5 stars, fun space adventures that I had the pleasure of reading.

Maaaaaannnn, I'm soooooo lost right now. Is this really the end ? Really ? Like R E A L L Y ??
I was so into this story where plots have plots twists, people are not the people you thought, where you keep a feeling of distrust eventhough they're the 'good guys' ( I think )
This can't be the end of the series. I'm floating in a big dark back hole...lost and hungry for more . Much much more.
In other words : this book has a Clifhanger with capital C. This book is Amazing with capital A. This book is has an awesome end even if I didn't like it. But it has my emotions all over the place. I can't stop thinking about Captain Cass and her crew/friends/enemies. So yeah, this is a good book. It has almost everything I want as a reader.

Wow things are getting interesting

Or more interesting. There's a lot of things to be answered in Book 4. Who are friends, enemies and friendemies. What about Outlanders. Can't wait.

If you're looking at this book, go back and read the first two Drifter Alliance books, this is a series you can't start in the middle.

It is a series with well developed characters, main and secondary ones. A strong gal leading things and enough snarkiness to make you laugh. The story is action packed and moves along at a nice pace... Of the three books so far this one probably has the most things going on in it...

Noooooo!! Another cliff hanger ending. More info on her background and alliance which is good. But still mysteries abound. Plus a little more on romance front with a kiss but was thinking someone else would be better since he seems so much older. Hmm well my idea about overshine seemed to be true but not enough info to know more. And Gus and Tray (ok I think or Troy) thing seems to be weird too. Not sure how long I will hav to wait for this since she seems to write more new adult/romances more quickly.

Must say I like both genres by her equally well.

“Do you want me to knock you out?” “No. I really don’t.”

OMGOSH!!! How does Elle Casey not make me want to throat punch her?!?!? **Evil Cliffhanger Alert** It's a good thing I love her and couldn't live without her books!!! Once again the bada$$ Cass has taken charge and walked into a bigger mess then she started with!! I absolutly love all the great one liners and I am still totally torn as to who I think she should end up with!!

Book 4.....I need you now!!

Another interesting installment

I would call this a serial more than a series. The books blend into one large story with slightly arbitrary cut points. Almost like the commercial break. The story is becoming more complicated which is good but it is also not closing some things up that could be wrapped up a bit. I will keep reading them.

I just love this series!

I can't wait for the next book. The characters in these books grab you because they are so interesting with surprises and secrets yet to be revealed. The storyline keeps you engrossed and engaged. I highly recommend this series if you are looking for a fun read you won't want to put down.

Best in the series yet...

Things are just now beginning to heat up for Cass and the crew of the DS Anarchy. As the series continues it just continues to get better and better. As the characters continue to evolve the plot thickens. I can't wait to see what happens next.

The only bad thing I can say about this book is that, for now, it is the end of the series. I loved the entire series so far and hope that the author has many more of these stories to come. This series is now a new favorite.

Continuing the dale of Cass Kennedy's adventure as captain of her own ship. Joining the alliance and conflicts with the OSG keep her hopping. Now left with the question of what happens next, I hope there is a 4 book at least.

Hello of a note to end the trilogy

Great, engaging read. Read the entire series in couple hours. The only disappointment is the next book is not available...
