Wounded Beast (stand-alone, book 2) opens up to restaurant and bar owner Dominic Eden, Dom (Jake’s brother) being investigated for tax evasion by HMRC. With his accountant running late Dom decides to meet the tax collector, Ella Savage.
Ella has worked her ass off to become a tax collector and has come to this meeting much like any other meeting to render a verdict and collect the taxes owed her majesty.
Instead the meeting is reschedule and for reasons of their own Dom and Ella find themselves on a dinner date – with each other. Dom is looking to get laid and Ella is not.
After hot sex against walls and furniture both sort of fall into a sexual lust-hate fling where they cannot seem get enough of each other. But there is a blatant conflict of interest and both have darkness in the past plus they are not the only ones determined to keep themselves from getting attached…

October 8, 2015This is an extremely hard one to rate,up untill the huge shocker for me and the heroine,it was a solid 4** read,but I dropped it done to -1 after the reveal.So,I will not rate this one in all fairness just because it contained a trope that I highly detest.

The heroine is the exact look a like to his dead fiancee,when she was dying she made him promise not to love or marry anyone else,off course he agreed.

For me as a reader,I want my heroine to be #1 for the hero,no other great soul mate for him,only the heroine,my personal
preference.Though in the epilogue the hero told his baby son that Mommy was #1.

It's always a good feeling when you discovered a book, that got you hooked just by reading a few pages, that's how addicting this book was. This is my first book by Ms. Georgia Le Carre and I wasn't disappointed. I fell in love on how she writes the story of Dominic Eden & Ella Savage. When these two met it's obvious how one affects the other sexually. It's just a matter of time before they do the deed and when that times comes it's so hot you may want to fan yourself. What I also like about this book was, the time when Dom spent his time taking care of his niece and nephew, the scene was hilarious. Liliana, his niece, is so kids of today,lol. Can you imagine an alpha male changing diapers, that's how endearing Dom was.
There was a twist along the way which I didn't see coming and that Dom has a secret. Which he can't tell Ella, but Ella was persistent in knowing what it is. Ella Savage is the kind of woman that will fight for her man. After learning about the secret she is more determined to help Dom.
I really enjoy reading this book and looking forward to meet the rest of the Eden Brothers. Now, Ms. Le Carre will be one of my go-to author when looking for a good book to read. Time well spent reading this book!!!

Ella is a tax collector her job is to find people/businesses that don't pay enough taxes and assess penalties and fines. Ella meets Dominic Eden and when their eyes lock its like magic. My boss left his umbrella in the restaurant after beeping sick and having to reschedule the audit. I go back to retrieve it an Dominic is bend over table crying. I feel like I was intruding but he soon notices me. Then he ask me out on a date. Now Ella is questioning everything her job stands for and she is falling deeply for Dom, however Dom swore never to love again due to his past love that dies.
Ella also has a stalker and Dom has to find who and where he is keeping her before the stalker destroy her, good thing he gave her that bracelet.

Without doubt, my favourite book by Georgia, and I've read them all! The second in the Gypsy Heroes trilogy, a spin off of her brilliant Crystal Jake trilogy, book two focuses on Dom Eden, the middle brother of the Eden gypsy clan who has a tragic past that haunts him even to this day. While he enjoys women, sex especially, he can't allow himself to love one. Until he turns up for a meeting with two tax inspectors, one being Ella Savage. The sexual chemistry in this book is the strongest I've felt in any of Georgia's books and while I've loved every single read, this is the first time I fell for her hero - this is something that rarely happens with any books I read, and took me totally by surprise. Not only were the erotic scenes powerful, the plot showcased her intelligent and descriptive writing, which is her trademark, but she threw me for a loop with some totally unexpected humour. I think that's why I love this love story so much, it had everything I love in a book - steam, humour, tension and twists. I'm not sure how she'll top this one for me. Brilliant!

This was a very nice story, I really enjoyed it!! The sex was so hot.
The only thing that was a bit rushed was how easily Ella believed his words of love by the end...when you have "those" doubts...you need some real confirmations, not just words!!

This was really good. As per usual with this writer it seems this book was scorching hot!! I mean I wouldn't say this book had nothing wrong with it in fact there was a lot but I still enjoyed it? lol I would definitely read more from this author!!

I wish I was as eloquent as the lovely Georgia Le Carre as I am struggling to put into words how stunning this story is. Once again Georgia weaves her delicate magic, creating a story that is filled with lust, secrets and an edge of danger all wrapped up in the allure of the gypsy ways. It's a complete beautiful package and I couldn't wait to carefully reveal the contents! Ella has become embittered by her frugal life, her parents always struggling, always making do. Finding herself blaming others that manage to cut corners and live more extravagantly, she has dedicated her working life to righting the perceived wrongs and has become a tax inspector. Her decisions lead her to Dominic Edens door, investigating his tax evasion. Ella is bowled over by the insta lust she feels when she looks at him. All her instincts scream at her to stay away as this man lights a fire in her that she has never felt before but one moment changes everything. A stolen glimpse of a pain well hidden starts Ella on a journey that will forever change her...
Being an Eden gives Dom an edge, he is uber confident and exudes arrogance. Being part of a family that is self made and powerful in many circles, Dom knows what it's like to struggle and have to fight to survive. Seeing life as something that should be enjoyed every day he has a unique view of his current circumstances. Facing a tax investigation he is furious that they dare invade his life. Rising to the challenge he is floored by the beauty he comes face to face with. Suddenly the game has changed and he wants her in his bed not in his books! She writes with such emotion and skill that you are swept away into the characters world and cannot stop till the final page. Honestly my review cannot do this story justice, I loved the Eden series and the Gypsy Heroes is a perfect addition. Another magical read.

So wickedly good it's addicting!
Georgia Le Carre brings her talent for writing sexy men and steamy romance, she's incomparable! WOUNDED BEAST is hot, heady, and hypnotizing romance that sucks you in from the very first page--consuming your heart, soul, your secret fantasy. You would want to devour this sinfully decadent book with lightning speed.
Dom and Ella's chemistry was amazing, pulling you in from the very first page as you find yourself lost in their story, not wanting it to ever end. I love this book and love it hard. It's so sexy it'll make you mad hot and build you back into climax. My kind of beautiful love story all wrapped up into one. This might just be my favorite of Georgia Le Carter's novels. I may have said that of her before, but that's how deliriously Happy it makes my frame of mind each time I read one of her books. If puts a smile on my face after reading the last page...wanting to read it all over again.

A mixture of steamy, heady love affair with a hint of suspense and danger, a stalker that when revealed the identity, was a shocker. With just the perfect amount of angst with loads of fiery sexual tension, I truly couldn't stop reading into the wee hours. There's an unforgettable scene that gripped my heart--Dom, in his darkest hour in the midst of the dark vast ocean, helpless, desperate to save the life of the woman he loves...so hauntingly, achingly beautiful, it'll stay with me for a very long time. You have outdone yourself once again, Ms.Le Carre!
The love scene at the pool after Dom and Ella walked through the "forest/bird sanctuary", was like an uncontrollable burning flame. Almost indecent but oh so hot, exquisitely so good your panties would melt! Holy baby jee-bus Ms.Le Carre, YOU are the embodiment of a dream writer come to life! You not only give us touching, intriguing full of suspense tales, you also give us one hot love story to remember, so inspiring I can only hope and dream about. DNF quite early on.
I don't know exactly where I was in this since it was a part of another book. So, I know after reading that one and not having good feelings towards the end, I was already skeptical about this one. I feel like I had a right to be.
Then again, I'm probably being super harsh.
The writing just wasn't my style and I'm not a huge fan of characters saying things near other ones and having them not comment on it. Especially if it warrants it.
It is also insta-attraction leading towards insta-love real quick. I just don't need this book in my life.

The writing just wasn't my style and I'm not a huge fan of characters saying things near other ones and having them not comment on it. Especially if it warrants it.
It is also insta-attraction leading towards insta-love real quick. I just don't need this book in my life.

Georgia has done it again! I loved loved loved this book! I think Dom is my new favorite one out of the gypsy brothers. The scene with Dom and his niece and nephews had me laughing out loud! This is truly a beautiful love story. Ella and Dom are perfect for each other. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

It is no secret that I love everything by this author; anyone who cares to read my past reviews can see that. However I do not give star ratings based on anything other than the book I have just read.
The five stars I have given to Wounded Beast show that, once again, Ms. Le Carre has written a book worthy of the highest accolades.
This is a stand alone novel but it has links to Sexy Beast and the Eden books. Many of the characters from them appear in Wounded Beast. They add depth and greater understanding to the storyline.
The main characters in Wounded Beast are Jake and Ella. Jake is one of the sexiest, hottest men that Georgia Le Carre has ever introduced us to. Ella is wound up so tight that when the bonds start to break she emerges as a beautiful, needy, butterfly from her cocoon of prissy self preservation. The foreplay between them begins very early in the book and erupts into a magnificent conflagration of sweaty, rough, hot as hell, scorching sex.
I rarely write anything about the content of a book, preferring to allow readers the joy of finding all of the intricacies for themselves. I made the exception here as this is all obvious from the beginning. The rest of the book is a journey of discovery with Ms. Le Caree's twists and turns always a surprise.
As always the quality of writing is exceptional and the storyline unique.

I enjoyed this story a lot. It took off as soon as it began and we were once again thrust in to the world of the another Eden sibling. This time Dominic Eden whom if your read the previous books you'll know is the 2nd oldest brother and the " rash, hot head" of the family. Dom meets Ella the level headed, rational, beautiful tax collector and their energy is instant and electrifying. However his past demons create a constant formidable rival for Ella to fully have Dom's heart. Unbeknownst to Ella she to has a dangerous issue with an unexpected rival herself. Throughout their journey there bond grows stronger even when Dom refuses to accept or see it. Ella however willing waits for him as he battles with his unresolved demons. Truths are exposed, unexpected fate happens and they find their way.
Dom's story gives you the reader of this series clarity as to why he reacts the way he does and has a reputation for being the "hot head." However, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I think with his revelation being such a huge deal in my opinion to Ella, they deserved or rather she deserved a better explanation/apology/grovelling. She is such a beautiful and genuine character that gave up so much for this man in such a short space of time, whose arrogance/ego needed a reality check that I felt like she deserved more from him respect wise. Still loved the story all the same and am looking forward to Shane's book.

I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
This is the second book in the series. Dominic and Ella's story. This author has always done an excellent job of hooking you into her stories from the first page, which is what I really like about her style of writing. Dominic cannot let go of the past to grab hold of his future. Ella loving tries to help him to let go.
I enjoyed this story very much. Definitely worth a read.

I loved WOUNDED BEAST . DOMINIC EDEN is now my new favorite Eden . ❤️❤️❤️ . Ella savage thought she just go in there and do his books and wound up doing a lot more than that :) lucky girl . If you read a book this year please make this and sexy beast a part of your TBR list you will not be disappointed.

It's not secret that I'm in love With Georgia writting and she is my favorite author so this book was not suprice for me.I loved Dom and Ella love story. It's interesting, fast -passed, amazing.

Dom Edan has demons and has lived with guilt for a very long time not allowing anyone close, only family know the true Dom. I think my favourite part is the baby sitting chapter, I laughed so much I was crying and had to re read it. Ella is naively thinking she can make a difference in her job, tax fraud claims are what led her to meeting him and now she is opening her eyes and feelings but she isn't sure it's the path she wants to take........ This was definitely a gripping, edge of your seat read with lots of surprises, you won't be disappointed.

Wounded Beast by Georgia Le Carre is the second book of the Gypsy Heroes series. Each book is a standalone in the series and although it is not necessary to read the previous books, I would recommend it to further the reading enjoyment as well as understanding the family and friendship dynamics, it’s a great cast of characters.
Wounded Beast is Dom and Ella’s story and although I liked it, I didn’t connect with it as much as I did the first book. I was really looking forward to this story but for me, it fell short of my expectations. Now with that being said, if you enjoy a complete and total alpha male then Dom is your man. My emotions on Dom and Ella’s relationship was all over the place for me.
Dom was all male and if he wanted something, he was going after it at all costs and Ella was his primary focus. Dom has a tragic past that kept him from believing he would find happiness in a woman. He is rich, successful, sexy, controlling, and yet he was a wounded man deep down inside with a past that kept him from moving forward. Until he met Ella, he was closed off and I just loved seeing her be able to bring out that love he kept stored away for so long.
Ella, was a sweet, naive, kind and caring woman who just wanted good in the world or at least for the good people in the world to be rewarded and she put so much into her professional life because she wanted to make a difference. I loved her relationship with her parents, it was so touching. She was a patient and forgiving woman and I felt that she deserved a bit more than what Dom gave her regarding his past and the twist reveal, I wanted so much more groveling from Dom because Ella deserved to be put completely and without a doubt at ease and for me. I felt that Dom got off a tad bit easy for my liking.
This story was fast paced, hot and sexy, and although I do enjoy a quick insta-lust/insta-love story at times, Dom and Ella’s story was too fast for me to fully connect with and appreciate the characters. The twist was not my cup of tea and maybe if it had been something different, I may have felt differently about the story as a whole but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I did however, love that Epilogue, it was great! I did like this book, it wasn’t a favorite of mine but I am looking forward to Shane’s story next.

Holy crap woman...love these gypsy Alpha's
First I have to jump on a quick soapbox, yea I know , sorry.
I was reading reviews for the for these books and I decided I have to say this.
Why do people who read erotic books , get all twitchy and scream it just reads like bad porn? It's just too graphic. It's too dirty, it had no story. I gotta say, when you are referring to a Georgia Le Carre book, saying you just couldn't finish. Again, really? I don't even know where you get off sayin' that. Obviously , that's the problem, you don't get off. Sex IS graphic, it IS dirty and erotica is both that, it can even be obscene. So why read erotic books if you your gonna complain and look all ignorant. Even Harlequin and Loveswept books can be super explicit.
Real people use those words when referring to all things sexual, do you really think a woman screams for his love member?
Ok, I've made my point.
Now for the review: Georgia I loved Dom's story. It's my favorite so far.

If you haven't read Jake or BJ's stories then do read them first , these are all free in Kindle Unlimited. As is this story. But really I think you should read them first because who can pass up Georgia Le Carre stories.
I also liked Ella, I didn't want to smack her at all. Your heroines are all good girls who are lucky to fall for all your panty meltin' alphas'. I can't wait for Shane's story. I was right, you totally saved the best for last, he cracked me up even more in this book. *high fives'

I was given this book as an ARC and here is my honest review.
This book follows on in the series and is about Ella, a beautiful and talented tax inspector who is always trying to do the best she can for the government due to her upbringing. Dom, the brother of Jake Eden, a alpha male, gorgeous, sexy but extremely wonder from a past relationship. A chance meeting and the story unfolds making for some explosive moments between the two main characters. Dom and Ella become a couple but the underlying hidden truth still keeps Dom at arms length. The family are protective, the children are hilarious and keep Dom entertained and live should finally shine through. Giving no spoilers away be ready for a bumpy ride with a few twists. Thoroughly enjoyable read the easily flowed and came to a conclusion. Well done G!
