Calli Crawford has given up too much in life, too many rules and regulations forcing her to become someone she can barely recognize. Such is the life of a woman in the witness protection program. With loneliness and fear as a constant companion, she's in search for solitude in hopes of making it to the trial date and getting back to her life.
Captain John "Edge" Barker has served his final mission for the Navy Seals and the devastation of it has left its mark on the hard-bodied vet. His plan is to focus on his dogs and ignore the rest of the world, but when a raven-haired women in need moves across the street, his world is turned upside down.
Needing someone to protect, he goes against his better judgment and steps into her world and makes her fight his own. With the largest syndicate in New York searching high and low for them, the pair doesn't have the luxury of living in the present. They're forced to stay on the razor edge of tomorrow.

I want more!
Holy smokes is this series hot in more ways than one! After reading the first book I couldn't wait to get to the second. The characters are so well written and developed. Edge is very complex and hotter than blaze. Sara is a tough match to Edge. The fire between them could set the book on fire and I loved them together.
The insanity of being in the witness protection plan is tearing Edge and Sara apart. Edge is in deep and swears to protect Sara but she wants to protect him from herself and the nightmare of her life. I've got to have the next book. This is driving me crazy!!!!

I recieved a copy of this book from Hurricane Readers book Reviews in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. Though it is shorter then I expected since the book ends with a large percentage left since the author gives a glimpse into other books at the end of the book. It also ends in a cliffhanger, though I can't wait to keep reading book 3 to see what happens next.

This is a awesome book. Calli is in the witness protection program and is ready to get on with her life. Jon lives across the street & does everything he can to help her.
