An out-of-control hockey star.
A ruthless agent.
One needs discipline.
The other, release.

Henley has been perched on the edge of self-destruction for years. Drugs, alcohol, and dark fetishes are only a few of his vices. When the only man capable of controlling him turns his back for good, Henley finally crosses the line, losing everything.

Kieran Steele is considered to be one of the most ruthless agents in the world of sports. His cutthroat tactics have never failed to land the deal of every athlete’s dreams. When he sets his sights on something, he always gets what he wants. What Kieran wants most is Henley.

For years, Kieran has watched Henley from the sidelines, fantasizing. Now, Kieran is the one person who can give Henley what he needs—ice beneath his skates and pain in his bed. But is one man’s obsession stronger than the other man’s demons?

This series has officially become my guilty pleasure. Quick, easy reads without a lot of substance to scatter my brain. It's a bathtub book!

Well alrighty☺️
I'm hooked, this series gets better and better.
This book surprised me. The dynamic shift makes this story impressive, I expected something different but Kieran was a unique take on strength, Henley's match in every way. I liked that we are tricked into believing the story starts here when it has started long ago. Charity Parkerson shows intelligence and inventiveness as she maneuvers her players in this series.

I love that bad-guy Alex from the previous book gets redeemed quite a few times in this book and his story is next🌈🔥

This is definitely my favorite book of this series, so far. Very intense and focused. I only wish that it had been longer. Can't wait for Alex and Gannon's story.

4.5 stars...

Rounding it up since it was better than Collide which I gave 4 stars, and much better than Blow which got 3 from me (although it was more of a case of too high expectations than anything else). Great series so far,and I'm officially hooked!

And kudos to author for never making us wait too long for the next book!

I made the mistake of listening to the audiobook instead of reading the ebook. I think it would have been a 4 star book for me but I just couldn’t get past the narrator.

“It’s the well-meaning shit we do that damages people beyond repair.”

Henley has lost everything—his best friend, his lover, and his career. Once the most sought after hockey player, Henley is grasping to keep what’s left of his life under control…but alcohol and his dark fetishes are only just a few of his vices he must overcome.

Kieran Steele is as ruthless as they come in the sports agency business. He’s watched Henley from afar for too long. So when Kieran sees the chance to finally have that which he’s wanted, he wastes no time in seducing Henley. “Kieran Steele…more addictive than any other temptation calling him to darkness.”

Obsession is defined as “the domination of one’s thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, or desire.” How far are we willing to go to obtain that which we are obsessed? “For Henley, Kieran would go to any length. He’d crawl, beg, humiliate himself, and give up all his worldly goods. Anything. Everything.”

Charity Parkerson’s Hard Hit series is what I like to call “chapter books”. The stories leading up to this installment could be read stand alone, but not THRASH. In order for the reader to truly understand Henley and his past, I highly recommend reading the books leading up to THRASH.

Love this series…it’s become my newest obsession ! Highly recommend!!

Whiplash! Spoiler Alert!

First off the book is two quick, at least put dates in it. Like three months later etc.
They just got together, fell in love and broke up in one day. I had to re read chapter five and six to see if there was a glitch in my kindle auto narration. There was no falling in love part, no date no romance just a but plug and sex. Then trying to throw the next storyline in the mix when this wasn't completed. I hated it but gave it three stars for effort. It felt like I was reading a fan fiction. There was so much left out. Such as K not ever being with another man yet he understood how to have sex with one and master it and nothing was sad. And when did they live together? H went to tryout for a team and got the job and it skipped to a call in the middle of the night saying his friend was shoot and 10 minutes away. I thought he was in Boston and then they started talking about lost luggage and I said he must of flown back and ended up in New Orleans. Why was the other guy shoot? It didn't say. Where was the police? I want my money back. Great for a kindle unlimited free bee.

It was a bit more okay than the first two books. The author really went with the insta-love story line with all the books.

The way things started between them was so weird that I didn't really buy it. The scenes were actually interesting. Especially the first showing of the kinks. I enjoyed that part. With Henley, I'm actually not sure what started the kink for him. His backstory was a bit lacking for me. Yeah, they explained it the end but it wasn't enough for me.

Kieran's secret was somewhat of a shock and an exaggeration too. I'm not one too judge but a guys is obsessed with another guy but is not gay?

Overall, it was good.

This book was way different from how I expected it to be, but not necessarily in a bad way. I also haven’t read any of the other books in the series, so I liked how I could just jump in.

What I thought:
-I thought it would be really intense on the BDSM. It wasn’t, but this way I feel like it was incorporated into the story much better. I do wish there was a little more, maybe toys could have been used?
- I thought hockey would play a huge role. Considering both characters had jobs in the community, it was natural to assume that hockey would feature in the book, and I was really looking forward to that. Much to my dismay, that was not the case. It was only mentioned a couple of times, which was definitely disappointing.
- I thought the relationship would have more of a story to it. There was a lot of telling to the relationship, and a lot of skipping around. The book would often say, “After this happened yesterday…”, and it definitely confused me, and made me a little sad that I missed out on some potentially really great moments and plot points.

All in all, this book was good, but could have been better. Despite its faults, I definitely recommend it.

It’s so frustrating to miss out on important details of the story because of time jumps and the incessant telling instead of showing. That’s the theme of this series. This story definitely could have been exceptional if it didn’t jump around and miss out on so much of the important things that were going on with Henley and Keirnan. I missed the entire development of their relationship beyond the first couple times they were together and we were rushed to the ending. This is where I walk away.

So freaking good!

Now I remember why this one was my favorite. While they all have strong powerful emotions, this one hits new levels. The surprises this one packs just keep rolling in. This is a prime example of a roller coaster read.

So Good

As short as these books are, they are still very good. I just wish the sex scenes were a little hotter. They’re hot maybe it’s just not draw out like I’m used to.

This one had me draw in from the start.

I really enjoyed book 3 in this series. It was intense at times, yet a little over the top mushy. I found it short and sweet. On the book 4.

In his shock, Henley said the first thing that popped into his head. “I thought you crawled for no one.” Kieran tugged at the button on Henley’s jeans. “I do for you.”

This is the third book in this series. Each of the books seem to be short on length for me, as was this one. Having said that, the story did have an ending and nothing was left out.

For me the second book is still the best in this series, although I did enjoy reading Thrash. It was good to see Henley finally getting his act together and to find out more about his past. Once again the couple seam to balance each other out. I think that Kieran needs Henley as much as it is the other way around.

I had been curious for the arrival of this book as it was hinted that it would be much darker than it actually is. Based on what had been said in the previous books about Henley's dark side and his need for pain I expected this to form part of the story. Yet there was only really on scene of this and that was very brief. There was more mention of it in the previous book. I don't understand why this is spontaneously lost from Henley's character.

As usual the next book is set up at the end of this one and just like when I read the teaser for the second book, I find myself more interested in reading that than at any point during this third book.

It was an okay read but not what I was expecting.

I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because I found it more tolerable than Grady and Ryker's story. Is it well written? Not particularly. I'm a total grammar nazi. No such thing as 'a good bedside manner'. And no one says "he lost a lot of blood, but we're pumping it back in". Makes it sound like the same blood he lost was somehow collected from the ground and returned to his body.
One thing that is kind of annoying, and in common with all the books in this series, is how amazing everyone thinks everyone else is, because they smiled or looked at them a certain way. At first I found the instant affection thing endearing, but c'mon, mix it up a little! They can't ALL fall in love with the other person within 5 minutes of speaking. There's a recurring theme here. 2 guys, one has low self esteem and everyone thinks he's odd, and either one or both have an abusive past. They fall in love, feel unworthy of the love, go at it like bunnies, have some rather idiotic misunderstanding, MCs from the next book are introduced, they make up, the end. I'm calling it quits after this one

This serie is really difficult to rate. I liked the first one Collide and i didn't like the second book Blow (mainly because of Grady) I however liked Thrash and i was very happy to see that things worked out for Henley and Kieran.

I'm very curious about the next book since i'm a bit hot and cold over this serie.

I do like this series but this book left me wanting. Wanting more detail! I feel that there was way more story to these two. It felt like I was reading the abbreviated version. I like when a book moves along but this skipped vital parts and really didn't elaborate much even in the end when it all wrapped up. I will try the next book Smashed as I do want to know what happens with Alex and Gannon but if these style of writing keeps up that's the end for me.

Love this series!

I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in this series! Each time I read the next one it becomes my favorite and I adore the main characters and all the supporting characters -- you just have to start at the first of this series because the stories all intertwine (this author is a genius). Eagerly awaiting the next story!

Better then the last...

I didn't think I was going to like this story as much as I did. Kiernan is awesome and is exactly who Henley needed. Kiernan and Gannon are great characters and both of them are intriguing and leave you wanting more. The next book is Gannon and Alex which I am about to read and get the answers we all want answered.
