4.5 STARS!
Yeah, yeah... this book has been taking so longgg and finally released. It made me question, what's so special about it? I liked the previous one, #2 Brand, is a story about his bastard brother. Nathan is the youngest among the brothers, Connor and Cade. He seems didn't talk much and made slight appearance in the previous books. In the end, BOSS surprised me so much. Loved it!
Kelsey Lane has amazing job and promising future before she meet Nathan Donovan, her new boss. At first, Kelsey didn't like Nathan because he's cocky, a bit arrogant and cheapskate. Outside her work life, Kelsey yearning for something and when a friend 'introduce' her to a new BDSM club, Kelsey's intrigued and signed up. Start off on the wrong foot, Nathan find out his new secretary register in the club, he begin to repair their relationship. Nathan wants to train her. Kelsey didn't deny their attraction and agree to explore her curiosity.
At first, I didn't really know much about business and I skipped a lot. Nathan and Kelsey's work life didn't interest me. It's quite detailed and well-explained, though. I'm start to exciting when they're trying to get to know each other. It requires trust and communication. Kelsey raised as an independent and strong woman and didn't like to be 'caged'. Her surrender to Nathan means a lot, esp. in bedroom. Nathan also has distress with his life, but it's start to change when Kelsey came into his life.
Despite there are so many sex (No complaint here), I learned a lot about the true BDSM relationship. Nathan is a dominant in bedroom also outside. He's really strict and serious about what's Kelsey wants. His purpose for Kelsey to explore BDSM turns into something else. I enjoyed it so much. Their play always makes me HOT and BOTHERED. Of course, Nathan always has control in office and it was so SEXY. Kelsey indulges in this relationship with Nathan and they're explore it with patient. There are so many things to learn. Nathan manage to aroused me anytime with his kinky side ;)
However, I didn't like the ending. It was too rushed with sudden marriage proposal. Argh! I wanna see more their togetherness after become a couple, though. Like every relationship, they also have problems. But it didn't take long to realize it also no drama. Again, Ms. Cartwright never disappoint me. She's one of the best BDSM author and I adore her! She brings out real BDSM journey for someone's new. It's safe and romantic at the same times. BOSS was a wonderful read and I freakin' loved it.

Boss 'Boss' By Sierra Cartwright is book Three in " The Donovan Dynasty" series. This is the story of Kelsey and Donovan. I have read the previous books but this can be a standalone book. Kelsey doesn't do relationship commitments but she is a hard worker who is an asset to the company she works for. But then it gets taken over by Donovan and she is attracted to him...and he to her. So they talk about having a 1 week affair where he can introduce her to his sexual lifestyle. Kelsey goes forward in this agreement but will she have issue when the time frame is over? Will Donovan be able to walk away too? First let me just say, I'm not really a fan of BDSM. I've learned that I can still enjoy a book with it if I like the couple and the writing, so I hate to pass up books just because of that aspect. This is one of those times it worked out in my favor.
Sierra Cartwritght is a new author to me and I was captivated by this couple. The only thing keeping this book from a 5 star read for me was I craved more! The storyline is only one weeks time and if we got more of this couple after the big reveal in the last chapter, I would have loved this book so much more.
Nathan's family company is taking over the company Kelsey works for. On day one, he finds out she is being invited to the BDSM club his brother manages and he invites her out to dinner in pretense to get to know her so that he can offer to take her to the club. I should mention here that in the Prologue, Nathan has seen a picture of Kelsey and had an immediate reaction to her image. The author expresses his attraction to her even more once they meet on the first day at work, so this invitation is not out of the blue. I did think it was pretty bold to approach her on the first day, but he is a Dom and really, aren't they known for going after what they want? It didn't seem too out of the realm of possibilities to me.
The rest of the story is him learning what she knows about BDSM, which is barely anything, and him training her in the days to follow, before he takes her to the club. It had a tendency to feel like you are reading BDSM 101 at times and except for a few thoughts from Nathan, it was almost too cold of a relationship. It was the last chapter that made me realize the author did that on purpose and really what made me crave more of this couple. Because of this, it made the ending feel just a little abrupt.

Nathan and Kelsey. I wanted more from this book. While I agree the steam and sex scenes were off the chart the story lacked a plot line, unlike the other two. I just felt it was weaker in the plot substance.
I liked Kelsey well enough, Nathan was doable. For me Kelsey carried the book.
This was a quick and fun read and if you're looking for steamy panty melting sex from a Donovan then this is the book for you! Sierra always delivers!

Love, love, LOVED this book! Sierra Cartwright gives us another erotic romance that IGNITE the senses! This book put me in a reader's version of subspace. Nothing else mattered. BOSS gave me a true escape from reality and I adored every single word. Cartwright gives us THE BEST heroes! The chemistry between Nathan and Kelsey flew off of the pages, leaving me in a euphoric cloud! I will never get enough of Cartwright's gorgeous, successful, and swoon-worthy Doms!

This is the 1st book in this series I've read. I'm not sure ai'll read the previous ones, although I'd read an Erin and Julien one! ;)
There's nothing really addictive about this story and the characters didn't hook me up or made me relate. It was a fun and hot read though.
Overal I liked this book, it was entertaining. Things felt a bit rushed towards the end, though.

Ok. I really liked this series and I really liked Nathan.
What I had an issue with was the language. I'm totally not into derogatory language even if it's intention is to be sexy. Some people may enjoy it but it just doesn't work for me.

Warning! Warning! Yup, there are warnings everywhere on this book. On the cover, in the summary, inside the first couple of pages. Even here, in my review. Yes, this book definitely requires a warning about explicit sex. And not just sex, but anal sex and sex "toys". This is about as steamy as it gets.
The story line holds up to all the sex, though. Yeah, there really is a story line here. It's the one where the corporate shark takes over her company and she has to decide whether she wants to play the game or take it somewhere else. It's quite well done and well integrated with the sex games.
The characters are well written and interact quite well. Both have strong drives to succeed and like to be in the know and in charge. I think I might have liked to see one of the older brothers drop into the book perhaps to see another side of the boss. But that didn't happen. I may have to read the first two books in the series to get a line on them. I have to wonder if those books have the same warnings!

When Nathan storms into her life, his controlling dominant personality both irritates her as well and sparks hidden desires to become sexually submissive. The chemistry between Nathan and Kelsey is heart accelerating dangerous. There is lots of passion in this sex filled book. It has an interesting HEA ending. The development of these characters is enlightening.

Boss by Sierra Cartwright was one hot sexy read ! These two sure know how to over heat your kindle.
Kelsey Lane what can I say about this timid yet determined girl? I found her to be timid at the beginning of the book however she sure knows how to speak her mind. She isn’t willing to give up what she wants not for anything. Monday morning Kelsey is confronted with changes she never expected, the company she works for is no longer and her new Boss is one Mr. Hottie Mc Tottie.
Nathan Donovan is much respected in the community. To the outside world he seems very stand offish until you get to know him, and realize that work is his life, just the way he likes it. I didn’t find much warmth from him at first, almost as if he didn’t know how to be warm and inviting. In a business sense he makes the client or employees at ease personally is another story.
Let’s say Kelsey ally cat is at the ready when she first meets this take charge business man. She doesn’t give an inch. I loved this about her. Nathan must have seen a streak of submissive in her because he proposes her to become his sub “train” her. There is a club Kelsey wants to go to and Mr. Donovan wants to escort her there.
Now here is where I was like WHAT ?? They meet Monday morning… and by Monday evening some pretty kinky freaking HOT stuff is going on between these two .. I won’t even go on to tell you about the rest of the week you NEED to read that yourself this book is not for the faint of heart.
If you’re in to kink … spanking … floggers … hot and dirty sexy time .. and so much more this book is for you no joke. It’s a scorcher. I read a passage to my hubby and he BLUSHED!! He is NOT a blusher. I totally teased him about it. I am evil! I had a good giggle about that.
I found Kelsey and Nathan were both seeking something and what they didn’t know is that they were seeking the very same thing.
Together these two are explosive. I would have loved an epilogue, to be honest I think that would have been epic but we can’t always get what we want am I right?
I want Nathan to bend me over and…. Oh I can’t tell you that… you will have to find that out for your selves.
Also where can I sign up for a Bond watch… Seriously that was freaking cool. I want a hot guy popping up in hologram form and talking to me about my eating and sleeping habits, pick me I say.

So over all I enjoyed this book, I loved the character even if I didn’t connect to them as maybe I have others. I didn’t get the timeline part but don’t get me wrong it was freaking HOT HOT, just when so much happened in a day or even a day and half I was like dude really that is trust. But it works for this story.

I found Kelsey and Nathan were both seeking something and what they didn’t know is that they were seeking the very same thing.
Together these two are explosive. I would have loved an epilogue, to be honest I think that would have been epic but we can’t always get what we want am I right?

When Kelsey left the office on Friday, she worked for Newman Inland Marine which was now Donovan Logistics. As Kelsey shares her dreams with Nathan, he doesn’t thoroughly hear her. He focused on dominating her when all she truly wanted from him was real love with no expectations or limits. Now the race is on for Nathan to let Kelsey know he heard her, loud and clear.
We’ve all read some books with a BDSM story line and there is almost always a portrayal of a uniformed and virginal woman. This is totally not the case in this story. Kelsey interest in BDSM completely thrills Nathan and surprises him at every turn. It was nice to read a story about a women who knew what she liked and didn’t act timid and shy. A definite change of pace!
The chemistry between Nathan and Kelsey was outstanding! It was immediate and intense. Kelsey seemed to give Nathan her trust, and a little bit of sass, right away.
The sex scenes in this book are extremely hot. There is a lot of role play, a BDSM club, anal play, toys, etc. I felt it was all tastefully written, however, it may not be for some readers.
I also enjoyed the fact that Kelsey knew exactly what she wanted out of life. She was a smart, strong willed woman who walked away when she knew it just wasn’t for her. It was also nice to see the man being the one to have to figure out what he wants in life!
Sierra Cartwright is a first for me. I have not read anything by her prior to this and I have got to say that I love this book! It was wonderful to read about a woman who knew exactly what she wanted and would not budge on her morals.
I will definitely be reading the entire Donovan Dynasty Series!

These two start out contentious boss and employee, but that doesn't last long. Chocolate cake and a discussion about submission, boundaries are crossed, and a relationship ensues. Then worlds collide and their D/s relationship makes for some hot sex scenes. This was an enjoyable read. These two had to figure it all out in order to make it work, but they do eventually get their HEA. I liked that she didn't easily back down to him, except in the bedroom. He gave her what they both needed. He constantly pushes her to say what she needs, so he can give it to her. He falls in love with her before he realizes it.

Kelsey is a serious hard worker for a company that gets taken over by The Donovans. Nathan Donovan in particular. Kelsey is very independent and has earned the respect from the male orientated business she is in. Nathan is a rule follower and a Dominate. Nathan has Kelsey become his assistant while he takes over the company she's worked for since she was an intern. Kelsey decides to finally have a life outside of work and a friends hooks her up with a BDSM club where low and behold Nathan is a member. He's not going to let anyone else become her Dom. They negotiate for one week and its just the beginning. I've only read one other book by Ms. Cartwright and needless to say I'm going back for more of her work. She tells a great story while at the same time keeping the heat on high!

This is the 3rd book in the Donovan Dynasty series, and could very well be read alone. I haven’t had the opportunity to read the prior books, and other than the introduction to various characters, I was not lost at all in the storyline.
Nathan Donovan, is very much “the Boss” in many respects of the word. He rules his company, he runs a tight ship while maintaining a solid reputation, and he enjoys bringing that same demeanor intoned his personal life. As a Dom, he rules over his sub, he owns his sub, and controls many aspects of his sub. This is the life he’s accustomed to, and the life he chooses.
Kelsey, grew up with a domineering father, who attempted to control many aspects of her life. She constantly felt that she need3d to set strong boundaries, and her goal was to continue down the oath. As the right-hand to her boss, she runs this company. She is fully aware of the ins and outs, and when her new Boss steps in, there’s a struggle for balance on many levels.
Nathan has done his homework on Kelsey. He’s aware of her career reputation, what she means to the company that she works for-which he now has acquired. He’s also fully aware of his attraction towards her. Nathan finds out thru his brother, that Kelsey is accompanying her friend to the club that he’s a member at. The thought of Kelsey in a D/s relationship with someone other than him, doesn’t sit well with Nathan. He hatches a plan, to make Kelsey his submissive. Their relationship works in some levels because the attraction is scorching. They also butt heads a bit due to Kelsey’s need for independence.
Like I mentioned earlier, it’s definitely a stand-alone read. I enjoyed their chemistry, but did feel like it was rushed. The vulnerability that Nathan displays towards the end-I wish there was more of that.

Have you ever judged a book by its cover? If so, then author Sierra Cartwright absolutely nailed it with Boss, the third book in the Donovan Dynasty series. The appeal is in the simplicity of the cover, yet readers can easily recognize the erotic adventure that awaits.
Although I didn’t start at the beginning of the series, there were no problems jumping right in. If anything, my desire to read the other two books increased as a result of my enjoyment of this one.
Kelsey Lane is depicted as an independent, take charge kind of woman. I found her to be somewhat feisty, especially in dealing with Nathan Donovan. It was interesting to watch her introduction into the BDSM lifestyle as a submissive. Nathan, on the other hand, is undoubtedly well suited for his role as a Dom. The author presented elements of D/s in such a way that it would appeal to readers new to the genre.
I’d definitely describe this as a high octane kind of read, with plenty of sizzling scenes. When Nathan says he will teach Kelsey to be a submissive, he’s not kidding around. However, there’s certainly enough of a storyline to provide a proper balance. The author also added tidbits of humor along the way such as Sinbad the hamster. Being able to provide such a good balance is the mark of an experienced author. There’s no doubt that this author knows her material.
Whether the two can mesh outside the office is the challenge, especially since Nathan is determined to maintain control. This was a fantastically hot read, packed with high quality heat delivered by an author who clearly knows how to deliver a sizzling story.

Boss is a standard issue BDSM story. Kelsey is the driving force behind the company she works for, Newman Inland Marine. She's strong, determined and fiercely independent. When Nathan Donovan, of Donovan Logistics takes over her company and surprises her in her office, the sparks are flying between the two. Soon, Kelsey's agreeing to explore a D/s relationship with Nathan, and she's learning so much about herself and her desires.
I have to say first, that BDSM, while hot, really isn't my thing. I like dominating men as much as the next person, but the whole of a D/s relationship doesn't do anything for me. And that's perhaps why I really couldn't connect to Boss. To me it felt like just another typically boring BDSM story. But, if D/s, BDSM, etc. is your thing, you'll probably enjoy Boss. I didn't feel much of a connection between Kelsey and Nathan other than the physical, and the ending was REALLY rushed. An epilogue would have been appreciated, too, and perhaps if one had been included, I might have enjoyed Boss more. As it stands, though, Boss didn't stand out to me in any way, but I can still appreciate that Sierra Cartwright is a good writer, so don't let my preferences turn you off if you have different preferences.

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Overdrive
Kelsey goes into work and all of a sudden she was told that her boss no longer owned the company and that it had been bought out. Kelsey couldn't believe she was trying to get her boss on the phone.
Nathan was struck by Kelsey he liked her sass and fire. Kelsey was now his new personal assistant. Kelsey's friend tells her she can get
her into the BDSM club Deviation that one of the Donovan Brothers was part owner. Her friend told her that her boss Nathan Donovan was a Dom. Kelsey was kind of turned on thinking about Nathan.
Nathan found out by way of his brother that her friend was bringing
Kelsey to the Club on Saturday. Nathan decided to take her under his wing and teach her and take her as his sub. Kelsey never thought she could submit to any man but, Nathan had other plans. Nathan and Kelsey have been playing and not only is she becoming more submissive but she is having a hard time not falling for Nathan.
They went to the club and she was more than he expected. They spend the night and the next morning Kelseystarts to put distance between them..but, then he asks her to move in with him. This book had it all. Hostile takeover, Dom, and Subs. If you liked Fifty Shades or even if you didn’t you just might want to give Boss written by Sierra Cartwright a try. Boss is the 3rd book in the Donovan Dynasty. It would also be my first title and book that Sierra Cartwright has written that I have read. But that didn’t stop me from reading and enjoying Boss.
Nathan Donovan was a workaholic and the others in his family are trying to show him that there is life outside of work. Until he meets Kelsey and he found that she is one woman that could handle him in the boardroom and most certainly in the bedroom.
The Boss is steamy and the chemistry between Nathan and Kelsey smokes up the kindle. I will recommend this book to any reader whose likes to read about Dominates & Submissive.

I've just finished reading 'Boss', the third book in Sierra Cartwright's "Donovan Dynasty" series and I'll be the first to admit, Nathan is my favorite of all the brothers. Whew! He's cold. He's calculating. He's all business. He is the Donovan Worldwide strategist. Kelsey is the administrative assistant and knows more about the company and its employees than anyone else was flabbergasted when she walked into her office on Monday morning only to find out it had been sold to Donovan Industries which now made Nathan her boss. Eventually, lines get crossed but what a delicious, toe-curling week we were able to be a part of. The personalities of these two were absolutely true to life, the chemistry between them and the BDSM scenes was enviable. What a great book!

Sierra Cartwright excels in strong female characters with chemistry drawing them to even stronger male figures. Third in the Donovan Dynasty series narrates the workaholic Nathan Donovan and his goal to establish leadership in his latest business takeover. Kelsey Lane has put herself through college and has engaged her skills in upper management. Monday mornings are hard enough even with caffeine to walk into work and find that the company name has been changed and new boss is waiting. Corporate ladder is not the only rung that must be climbed when Nathan and Kelsey fight their attraction for each other with a time limit established for their parting kiss. Love, Love, Loved this book.
I love Sierra Cartwright's writing. She presents the characters and plot so realistically it's like you are there in the Dom's arms or over his knee. It's simply an amazing read. I didn't realize when I started the book it was the 3rd book in a series. It certainly can be read as a stand alone but I enjoyed the story so much and was intrigued by the glimpses we get of the other 2 brothers and their wives that I one-clicked books 1 & 2, Bind and Brand. Can hardly wait to read them. I'm also hoping there may be a book in the future featuring their sister.
