About the short story…
Kelly has fallen into the humdrum of everyday life. Her fulfilment is found in the washing, the cleaning, the ironing and running herself into the ground with her job. She’s not sure when it happened, but the fun, spontaneity and excitement in her life was lost somewhere along the way.
So when she's asked out on a date by a gorgeous man who demands her attention, Kelly’s not so sure she’s up for it. It’s been a while, to say the least. It would be easy to refuse, stay at home, finish that pile of ironing, and then answer some work emails. The thought of being so organised alone brings a smile to her face. But with the encouragement of her best friend, she bites the bullet and goes all out. Bye-bye ironing, hello gorgeous man. She doesn’t know where this Kelly has been, but she quite likes her, and she doesn’t plan on misplacing her again.

Title: Forgotten Desires: A short story in aid of The Eve Appeal
Author: Jodi Ellen Malpas
Release date: 21st September, 2015

Forgotten Desires is a very short but scintillating story from Jodi Ellen Malpas. It focuses on Kelly, a hardworking career woman who leaves herself little time for play. Worn down by monotony, she unpredictably accepts a date from man she no doubt desires but also finds infuriatingly sure of himself.

The harder she tries to resist, the faster she seems to unravel. Until, bang! The attraction between the pair is palpable and the exchange, feisty, as I have come to expect and enjoy from JEM. Although a short story it has the makings of really enjoyable full novel *cough*

4 "Oups, she did it again" stars

Damn it. She did it again. With only a short story of 5k. Jodi Ellen Malpas had me completely hooked yet again. Wanting more, and flipping the pages like a mad woman. And then… what? It was over. Just like that. I’m sorry if this is confusing, but I’m confused myself. What was the meaning of these last few words Jodi Ellen Malpas? I do recall reading something like; “…ish”. That better mean there will be more. Please. I want more. I need more.

“With my eyes cast down, watching the calm swirl of my wine in the glass, I slowly swivel on my stool, feeling a whole lot better.

Until my knee hits something.

Another knee.

A trouser-clad knee.”

It’s a short story, so it’ll probably also be a short review. I’ll start by saying that it’s a very short story. As in, only a handful of pages. Took me about fifteen minutes to read. Don’t be fooled, though, those were some pretty fantastic minutes of my life. As usual, Jodi didn’t disappoint with the sexual chemistry and the sizzling anticipation, I could feel it come out of the pages. Literally.

“Restrain me.”

Was this short story satisfying? Heck no. Like I said before, this was such a tease. I need more. I feel like this story ought to be more. I feel like it will be more. Eventually. It just can’t end like that. Can it? If there’s eventually more, it’ll make me very happy, because I was obsessed with only a few lines.

“But I love those knickers!”

“I’m sure the barman will love them, too. And anyway, I would have ruined them when I ripped them off with my teeth.”

Jodi sure left us with a “BOOM!” on this one, ladies. This story ends with quite a plot-twist. I adored it. Loved the story, loved the writing (as ever with the Queen of all things ish) and I'm extremely intrigued about Kelly and… I won’t reveal his name, you’ll have to read it to find that one out for yourself... HA!

Even if the length of this book feels like a tease, it did have an important message to women. Life sometimes gets very hectic, we get caught up in every day’s routine, but we should never forget to have a little fun once in a while. We shouldn’t forget ourselves.

“Women can rule the world, but men should rule the bedroom.”

Plus, I want to point out that all profits on the sales of this book will be donated to women’s cancer charity. So, please buy it. It’s for a great cause, it’s written by a master of the art of erotic romance, and I’m telling you; it’s very enjoyable. Please buy it.

A very short story that doesn't manage to leave an impact but still enjoyable.

It's about remembering what being desired and playful feels like after getting lost through everyday routine...

This was a really quick read, less than half an hour, but it packs quite a lot into very few words. I can't really say anything because anything would give it away so I will just say that for 99c and all profits going to a really worthy cause, just buy it and read and fill in half an hour of your time. (full review to come)

Great that it's a charity read, but this didn't leave me wanting more.

Honestly, I need this author to come back hard with a phenomenally dirty, sexy, hot and heavy, Alpha and fiesty h series... I feel like I'm loosing one of my favourite authors to the world of 'meh', considering just how strong the This Man series was.

5 STARS
Jodi Ellen Malpas is one of my favorite authors; I would read every single thing she writes, even her post it notes. Reading a Jodi’s books is about surrender to a different world full of love, desire and sexiness which you wouldn’t want to leave EVER.

This story was written to raise money for The Eve Appeal, a women’s cancer charity, as Jodi is a proud supporter of this cause, she manages to create this amazing “short” story that will capture you since the beginning and will leave you craving for more….

More, yes More!!!!! Because it’s been a while since Miller -My Miller- and I’ve been missing Jodi’s books.

This story is about Kelly who has this date -yep “that kind of date”- and she wants to be sexy for this guy and it’s been long since her last date and you have to buy the book to know what happens next, just I’ll leave here that even it’s a 5k story, it’s sexy and hot and ish!!!!

What a better way to support this cause by reading a Jodi’s story, you won’t regret it. Buy it NOW.

Forgotten Desires Jodie Ellen Malpas

The title suits this quick little tease fabulously!
As always, JEM can SUCK you into a story within the first few words!
This short story is for a great cause. It also serves as a great message to married couples, (or just couples in long term relationships) never let the fire die.

A short hot fun read. I can't really say much about the plot as its that short. The book is 39 pages long and only 9 of these were the story. The rest was Jodi's other books. There is potential for this story to continue. It took me about 15 minutes to read. I'm sure Jodi fans will love it and the money goes to a good cause.

"For every woman who forgets to think about themselves"

~Jodi Ellen Malpas

Kelly, starts us off with the agonizing turmoil every woman wrestles with before a night now. Consumed with self doubt and desperately craving to be perceived as a sexy desirable woman...

With two great allies (wine and her best friend), An ace up her sleeve, and the perfect dress, Kelly is prepared to tackle an evening she'll never forget... with the sexiest man she knows.

**WARNING**Have a careful grasp on that kindle. While this short 5K story doesn't go into too much depth, you'll still need to watch as the sparks fly as soon as Kelly and Mr. Right are in the same room. Jodi Ellen Malpas has a way of making me instantly love her characters. I couldn't help the smile on my face almost the entire time I read this. 5 thousand words that made an instant impression on my heart.

This short read is for a great cause, to make you smile and to remind us ..
We're still desirable woman .. we just need a little reminding every once in awhile.

** Provided on behalf of the author for an honest review **

We all want to feel needed.
To feel desired.
To feel wanted.
To feel sexy.

But what happens when that's all lost?
What happens when the spark is gone?
What happens when all that matters is your job and your homely duties?

You feel a little lost.
You feel a little unattractive.
You feel undesired.

But a simple email will change all that.

This is Kelly's story.

You need her.
You want her.
It's not a question it's a demand.
You demand to have her.
You will have her.

And all it will take is one email, one demand, one date.

This is Alex's story.

Forgotten Desires is a short story written by the amazing Jodi Ellen Malpas, with all proceeds being donated to the Eve Appeal Charity.

We absolutely loved it. From beginning to end we were held captive feeling the emotion, the rawness and the desire. A beautifully written story showing us that sometimes we all need to take a step back from our everyday lives and take stock of our emotional needs, our sexual needs. That these needs do matter no matter how busy our lives get.

A great short story that everyone needs to read.

A beautifully, sinfully sexy 5 star read.

Short but Sweet

This was a very short story which gives us a taste of Jodi’s superb writing talent. I felt like I was short changed slightly as it ended abruptly before it really started. However, saying that, I really enjoyed it and was taken in with Kelly and all her feelings. I felt like every single word was being spoken into my ear and they had a definite impact on me.

I was given this book for an honest review.

I’m only giving it 4 stars because of the length otherwise it would be , I know I was told it was a short story but I wanted it to last longer. Also, it did give me the opportunity to read the first chapter of the first book in the One Night series, which I havent read yet.

This reminded me of one of those short stories I read in my Mum's 'Woman's Weekly' type magazines..you know the ones where it's a very short story with a twist at the end.

Thing with this story is I guessed within the first page what the twist would be and it felt unoriginal.

It's such a quick read and the rest is extracts from her other work. Yes it's for charity and a good cause, but don't get too excited as it's a 'blink and you'll miss it' story.

Have to say...I'm getting sick of this author repeatedly using the word 'arse'. It's boring now.

the shortest story ever without an ending....

I like the writing style and JEM really built my expectation just to let me crumble with wanting to know more.

It is a bit disappointing because, well, I wanted more....
