This was a fill-in detour from my reading of The Aryan Myth , which kept referring to the Revolutionary of the Rhine like I should be fully conversant with this obscure manuscript. I'm still not, but Chandler gives a bit more detail than does Poliakov in the course of a very Czech-Hungarian overview of Hussite and related rebellions of the early reformation. I will likely plow through his seven part sequel as well, since Poliakov is focusing more on German and Russia proper and this fills in some long-forgotten or never-learned detail on the surroundings.
