In their final month of elementary school, 11-year-old Aldo Zelnick and friends are faced with a series of Last Cafeteria Meatloaf; Last Band Concert; Last Monkey Bars Fail. Blindsided by an uncharacteristic sense of loss, Aldo decides to bag some new Firsts—including putting himself out there for the 5th grade talent show—only to be beset by a series of logjams.
This twelfth installment in an A-to-Z alphabet series also includes a glossary of fun and challenging "L" words, such as lackadaisical, loony, and limbo..

She has worked as a writer and editor for more than twenty years and has authored more than 100 books, some of which have been translated into Chinese, Korean, and Hebrew. Karla and her husband, Scott, live in Colorado with their three teenage boys in a house strewn with ping-pong balls, cell phone chargers, video games, books, and dirty socks.
As always, Aldo Zoellick was entertaining. Logjam was particularly heartwarming, as this is Aldo's last year of elementary school, and he is feeling quite a bit of both nostalgia and pressure. I can't wait to see how Aldo handles middle school!
