As a part-time cab driver, Yianna Travis was ready to accept the fact that she was destined to live her life all alone and lonely. That was until she picked up a drunken Eddie Smith, an all-star linebacker for the Atlanta Bueto’s. Never in her wildest dreams would she have ever imagined that instead of a routine pick up and drop off, she would be leaving his home the next morning… and with only one sneaker.
The events of last night may be one big blur, and his memory may be slowly coming back to him in drips and drabs, but Eddie remembered being with a beauty woman last night, and he will never forget the night of unbridled passion that they shared. He may have tied one on, but the pink sneaker in his hand was proof that what happened last night actually did happen, and wasn’t just some dream. Unfortunately, he had a few minor problems. He didn’t know her name, he couldn’t get her out of his mind, and he had absolutely no idea where to start looking for her.
I enjoyed this story but why does the women get punched in The face? In addition, they act like hookers. African American women do have their share of problems with their men, but give me a break. We don't act like boomers to our men. The majority of us can and will walk away from any man that disrespect us with words of action. Why would one keep going back to a man for sex if he says nasty things to you when he is angry? As as matter of face, any will scratch his out out or try for some of things these men say. It is great to see get a happy ending, but I have a problem with how they get there.
Thoroughly enjoyed the story lines, but repeatedly found men are always showing their stupidity. Then women hum and hull in tell them what is going on. Look forward to more!
Eddie had better got some act right or risk losing Yani forever. I enjoyed the characters development. The resolution was so worth it even though I really wanted to strangle Eddie. Wanting space is one thing but being an assho** is never a good thing either.
Repeat repeat repeat! Another gem by Vivian Rose Lee!!! These stories deal with real issues amidst love and passionate relationships! Friendship is a common thread in this saga and all Vivian is novels! Another two thumbs up!
Eddie almost lost his Cinderella because of fear of losing control. He forgot he brought all the changes in his life she never ask for any of it. MEN!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the book I finished it in one day. I like that's she brought back characters from previous books the only thing I wish it was just a little longer.
So far NOT ONE book has disappointed me. Yes, things started out a bit fast and unrealistic but they found love. The bigger they are the harder they fall.
