Om-Bork was a sweet and fun read. I really enjoyed it!
I don't think I've ever read a Christian science fiction children's book before, so Om-Bork is definitely unique in that sense. I wasn't sure how Robert Lampros would pull all of those elements together, but he did it very well.

The story was engaging and meaningful. As well as funny! The illustrations really added a lot of depth, humor and meaning to the story. I loved Om-Bork's face and facial expressions.

Being that I have a four year old and this book is recommended for ages 7-12, I read Om-Bork on my own. But, I think children ages 5 and up would understand and enjoy Om-Bork.

I really liked this book and would definitely read more from Robert Lampros.

This is a cute short book about a boy who meets an alien. Om-Bork teaches Martin about Jesus.

Thank you to Robert Lampros and Goodreads for this book.

It took well over a year, but I finally got a copy of Om-Bork, by a fellow Saint. Louisan, Robert Lampros. [Is that a word?] Anyway, I won this book through Goodreads.com.

The story is about a boy named Martin who thought he heard an alien spaceship land near his backyard. Fifteen years later, he runs into the alien, who claims to be the one who'd landed all those years ago and had watched him grow up!

Now that's where I'm confused. They meet and become acquainted and then It Ends! I was like, "Wait! Did I miss something?" I went back a few pages and reread, but found myself baffled. I liked the introduction, but it was never explained why the alien waited so long before finally meeting. The terrestrial, Om-Bork, though from another planet, just happens to be Christian. That made me think, that the author was going with the premise of all things created by one being, God. I wanted more... but it ended.

The illustrations are abstract and bright, which keeps children interested, but it's outside of that, the book has nothing to offer. The book is about 38-pages long with a story that ends on page 34. I don't know what the message is supposed to be. Right when one should have kicked in, it was over.

I'm gonna just move on to the next book.

I received a PDF.file of this book from the author through a giveaway he had on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.

What starts out as being a whimsical story about a young boy [Martin] seeing a spaceship and then tells his classmates about it. Naturally they all make fun of it and begin to call him Martian.

Fifteen years past and Martin is now a grown man and one night coming home from work he hears a whisper and sets out to investigate it just how he did back then. The only difference is this time he finds an alien.

The conversation which follows between them is not about anything scientific as you might expect, it is about G-D and praying. In between the dialogue we can find things important to the tenets of religion. There’s also a direct link to Jesus and an important passage from the Bible itself if you read this book carefully enough.

For the spiritual message presented here I’ve given this book 5 STARS.

This is a cute book, with some interesting illustrations. I like the story with the boy hearing the sound of a martian landing when he's a child and finally meeting him when he's older. The martian is a fun character, with the breakdancing and all. The only problem I had with the book is it seemed like there should be more to the story. It seemed a little unfinished. But, overall, a cute book for little kids. Thanks to the author and goodreads for providing the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
