One of the finest fantasies I have read in a while...

These books will grip you, and refuse to let go! Power, tragedy, strength, hate, sorrow, but most of all love is what you will find in this riveting series. The characters feel real, the triumphs and heartbreak will move you, and for those who crave action and adventure, fear not... they are here in plenty! Strong characters, magic, warmth, humor and sorrow, all bound together in a well written tale for the younger readers and adults alike. Congratulations to the author for a winner of a seies! I look forward to enjoying more of her work! Highly recommended and much enjoyed!

A very tattered Heroine.

So I am a softhearted romantic. Without spoiling the story, Mae suffers a lot but emerges victorious. With each devastating blow I wanted her to be magically restored. It does not happen.

I enjoyed this book series, especially as I bought it as a complete finished boxed set and did not have to wait for the author to keep up with my reading speed. There is plenty of action and magic to make the story exciting and a little bit of romance. The characters are well rounded.

An exciting & entertaining adventure of good versus evil & the development of inner strength for young people The message is loud & clear..believe in yourself & have faith in your own abilities..a good message for all in this day & age of so much depressing world news!! The ending while sad adds strength & a future full of hope for the main character ...must mention a few errors..Mae hands " a tissue" to Ellen...& there were a few other " modern day" references but always amusing to pick them up..editing ain't perfect!!

Long explanations

I was very frustrated with this book or should I say the author. The explanations are to long. I feel like she is just filling space. I had to stop reading it.

Magic, Adventure, Romance....what more do you need?

Mae's story is pretty interesting. I would like to know what happens after her adventure and more about her family. I don't want to give anything away but I'm sure this is not the end of her story!

This book series was wonderful but I cried for good 30 minutes. The end was too much heartbreak. I thought that because the main characters were so young it would take away some of the excitement but it didn’t. I actually think it helped.

The white Hart series.

I first read the white Hart in another book series. It was so interesting that once I finished with that book I looked for the series. And I'm glad I did. This series was so interesting that I couldn't wait for the next book.

Great series of adventures and love

It started off a little slow but became a read that was very hard to put down. Mae is an inspiring character with a lot of growth in a short time.

Reads like the first series of an author still learning to pace out a narrative.

this is such an awesome series i actually bought the complete set however i wan t review each book as well book two flows so well that the story continues without a break not many authors do this and i think it is a wonderful gift...in book one we see mae a craft born she is afraid to reveal her magic as she does not want to be forced in a marriage to the prince in book two we see she has fallen in love with the prince mae is afraid that the prince would never love her as he is to marry ellen the pretend craft born when the castle is under a spell mae discover she is the only one conscious so she has to destroy the nix she sees the others fears and learns sasha can be with her through this when mae destroys the nix a bad thing happens (sorry cant give away the spoiler) she saves the people in the castle all hell breaks loose at the cas and ellen wedding the king was going to kill mae stag in front of cas with mae watching she lets go of her powers the king realizes that she is the craft born not ellen poor ellen paid the price for this mae has to run away from the king cas finds his mother who has been poisoned lyndon and the king are crazy cas leaves with ellen to look for mae they find each other at sasha village cas lets mae know he loves her they are on the run they have to destroy the king before he destroys them they get married they fight and kill lyndon first they find the black diamond (cant say much more on this cant give story away but will say it is sad did not expect this) the king and sultan wants the black diamond for immorality mae gets a big surprise when she finds out shes with child

These three books are the best series I've read in a long time. You would not expect Mae, the urchin, to experience such trials and tribulations. Mae has to battle not only herself but others intent on using her craft for evil intent. The poor child suffers almost constantly but also experiences intense love, loyalty and friendship. She must make an ultimate sacrifice to bring prosperity and peace to her land.

I wouldn't mind if there were more stories about her in the future. She is a worthy heroine. There really should be more written. She's only 16 years old. I can't believe she won't find love again in her lifetime. Is there a coronation? Does the current aristocracy accept her? Will she retrieve the former queen's body for proper burial? What happened to the former queen's servant that said she'd stay with her in the tunnel? I'm curious about Mae's child and her upbringing.

So many questions. I do hope Ms. Dalton continues with this story.

A fabulous series, which hooked me from beginning to end.

This fantasy is filled with adventure, magic, action (and so much more) and runs a gamut of emotions - I loved it.

Mae is a strong female character and we follow her arduous journey; feel her pain and joy, losses and gains.

I don't give spoilers but will say that this is storytelling at its best.

Highly recommended.

The three books of the White Hart Series. Book 1: the story of the beginning of Cas and Mae. The 2nd Book: changing the Nix and finding love. 3nd book: war and lost. Great come of age fantasy. If you have a teen great summer read.
