Be sure to read THE GATHERING first to avoid confusion.
True love is salve for the soul...unless those souls were never meant to be together.
The ghost of Alexander Fraser agrees to play the witch’s game and leave off haunting for two reasons. First, being a Fraser on Culloden Moor is more pressure these days thanks to a certain fictional character who sends lasses swooning and swarming all over the battleground. But more importantly, he must prove to the spirit of young Rabby there is nothing to fear by moving on.
Chelsea is a runaway bride. It’s humiliating, really. She has allowed herself to be run off by a heartless best man, and she doesn’t know how she can forgive herself, let alone ask for her groom’s forgiveness. So, like a coward, she hides. Unfortunately for her, she gets stuck in a Scottish hunting lodge with a guy who can make her perfect bridegroom seem lacking. Or is he just a phantom of her psyche? Either way, she needs to keep her distance or no man in her life…will ever be man enough.
I really like how each book is really different from the next yet still mixes with the rest of the books for example this ghost in question Fraser has no interest in revenge, this is the first time a ghost has been made flesh in the series for the soul purpose of getting a boon for a fellow ghost and it takes things in a different direction so good loved it.
I enjoyed Fraser, with the offhand references to that 'other Fraser' and have since read several in this series, some better than others, Dougal being my least favorite so far. Unfortunately these novels, no matter who is writing them, are formulaic. Of the ones I've read, except for Rabby, the ghost meets an American woman and is transported to do his deed of valor in America. What would be wrong with the ghost staying in Scotland away from the battlefield in some other time besides modern to redress a wrong or solve a problem for a Scottish lass or family?
This series has been such a joy to read. The romance is so sweet and I love the happy ending. I chuckled that the author compares this Frazer to Out landed "Thanks to the fictional character named Fraser, in a well-loved Scottish novel, Alexander’s existence on the grounds of Culloden had become its own bit of Hell. His common Scottish name had become nigh unto a war cry for romantic minded lasses the world over. And for a man who’d been denied his own true love in life, it was torture to see so much affection wasted on a fellow who had never truly existed in the first place. And it was getting worse by the day thanks to the story being played out on film."
Fraser (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor #6), my sixth read from author L.L. Muir. My wife is a Scottish romance reader & sometimes the books she reads influence me. A well-written short read and the sixth book in this ongoing series. I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Fraser is the 6th book in the series. Each book originates from the ghosts of 79 people who died at Culloden. However, each story is unique, and focuses on the specific ghost. Each ghost must complete a noble deed. I love the humor in Alexander referring to “that other Fraser” meaning Jamie Fraser. While the driving reason for the ghosts remaining is to seek vengeance on Bonnie Prince Charlie, that is not what Fraser wants to do once human. He is more interested in paving the way for young Rabby. It is a very sweet story. The story is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed. Narration is excellent, I love the Scottish brogue. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is the sixth book in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone .
Alexander Fraser wants for young Rabby to leave the Moors for something better. To relieve Rabby of his fear of the unknown Fraser volunteers to be the next ghost to take Soni up on her offer. Fraser must find his heroic act and prove there is nothing to fear.
This is a short sweet story and a great addition to the series. I can’t wait to read young Rabby’s story next.
I have been reading this series in order. I have found this to be my favorite as to date. I love the reference to the"Other Fraser" as I am a huge fan of Outlander! I feel the Chelsea and Alexander's story varies a little from the other Ghosts. He didn't have to run over half the country trying to fix what isn't broken. I can honestly say though I wish Rick had shown more villainous and Austin not so, weak. All in all I loved Fraser and would recommend the series!
This is the sixth novella in The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series, a Scottish Paranormal Romance. I love this series! Fraser and Chelsea's story is entertaining, sweet, and heartwarming. This is another great addition to the series. I enjoyed it. Andrew McDermott and Jenn McGuirk did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Rabby, the next book in the series.

This is just great. Chelsea is a runaway bride who breaks into a cottage not more than a couple of miles from the chapel where she was to marry. Alexander Fraser woke just outside the cottage. Their story is like two halves of the same story, but he has invisible barriers that he cannot escape. It's a lovely story.
Each of the 79 ghosts of Culloden Moor have an after tale to tell. Such an intense feat for any author to undertake as well as succeed in, and book 6 is no exception. Honour comes into play with this story and dedication to keeping one's word. This is a story we can all learn a bit of something from. Wonderful narration, as always.
I am really enjoying these books. They are a bit formulaic, and at times a bit slow for me, but I love the formula. Gorgeous Scottish hunk of a ghost is given life back to perform a good deed, an act of saving, an act of honor. His desire for revenge is softened by love, and he is given a second chance at life. Hmmm. There is sweet magic in his steadfast goodness.
I’ve never read the books or watched the show they refer to but I’m like any other woman and sighs dreamily offer a good looking Scot in a kilt. With each of these books so far, I’ve cried and laughed. I’m enjoying this series.
I became addicted to Outlander and it's genre . so when a facebook post about this series came up, I decided to give it a read.I just finished book # 6 Fraser. I hve loved them all so far. plan on reading them all.
I picked this series up on a whim. My whim proved correct. This is a great series. I love each book. My favorite one so far is Fraser's. Follow your whims. They will make you happy.
Fraser was a ghost that a little witch gave him a couple days to prove himself as a real person. Fraser was trapped in a cottage with a runaway bride. He tried to send her back to her betrothed but author L.L. muir decided to have them fall in love.
The sexual tension was pretty good in this one. I feel like I didn’t quite understand why she chose one man over the other all the way. I guess it wasn’t spelled out enough for me. But the twin aunts were a funny pop in. I enjoyed the book overall.
An ancient Scottish warrior trapped in a cabin, a runaway bride in hiding, a lost groom and evil best man collide to make up this edition of The Ghosts of Culloden Moor.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a good love story with hints of history and references to current tech and how a man from the past reacts. I can almost hear Chelsea giggle at some of Alexander's views. I am ready to start the next in the series !
