Dragons for Kids Sometimes the silliest dragon gets in trouble. In this illustrated dragon book, kids learn that everyone is silly sometimes... Includes bonus coloring pages!
A former horse trainer and computer programmer, Brian Rathbone used his old world knowledge and love of fantasy fiction to create The World of Godsland fantasy series, which begins with The Dawning of Power trilogy.
I'm usually not the biggest fan of children's books but this was so cute I read it twice (back-to-back). The illustrations are not entirely my cup of tea but the story is really great, especially for very young children. I just couldn't resist and read it another time the next morning :-D
I chose this rating because the book was cute, fun to the point, and short. Having a toddler in the house means if it cant get done in like 2 min or less then good luck! So in that respect the book was perfect. i would recommend this book to anyone with a toddler or just beginning reading. Its perfect to use as a settle down time book, or for bedtime.
This is a fun read/partner read book. Partner read is, you read part and your partner reads part, but you both get to look at the Silliest Dragon in the 🌎. Fun times all around. The illustrations are whimsical and vivid and just make you 😃. I highly recommend this book. The Silliest 🐉 likes to play but sometimes gets in trouble making messes. The Silliest 🐉 is purple. What else does he do? Happy ☺ reading 📚 !!
The silliest story. Now I do feel mean writing this because he the dragon is cute and I do like Rathbone’s other stories, but this was pointless. Full of half rhymes, it did not have the advantage of good poetry, and it didn’t teach children anything. A children’s story does not have to be educational and I love some of the silly ones. This one, however, was not terribly clever.
A very short picture book is recommended for toddlers or preschoolers.
There is no plot. Each page contains one sentence explaining how the purple dragon loves to play. The rhymes are off in spots but the pictures are adorable. Dragon fans will immediately fall in love with the character. What two-year-old- doesn't love a silly dragon and the color purple?
Books like this are so informational for children and hold such a wealth of knowledge. I really enjoy reading books, like this one and many others to my children, for if you start them young then they will grow to have a love for reading and adventure!
Such a cute story. The illustrations are great; love the bright colors. Bought this to read to my great nephew while we are on a cruise, so I was thrilled it was available as an e-book. I hope he loves it.
