(Spoiler ahead read at your own risk)
This was good book and one that I could relate a lot with. Love this poly couple Tilly is in L.A. with Cris when he leaves his phone in the car and she answers it. In this book we get to take a look at Cris's past how his family treated him at sixteen his father put him out because he was caught looking at gay porn he tried to tell his family that he was bi not gay but they didn't listen. Cris went to live with his Aunt and Uncle and their family his uncle beat him because of who is. Cris was close to his cousin Sophia who he called Fi when he turned eighteen he went to college and never looked back his cousin was ten when he left for Florida after he and Landry broke he wanted to take Sophia with him she refused. When Sophia called looking for help from Cris she got Tilly who jumped at the chance to help her and her newborn baby. This was a really good book that had me crying Sophia was trying to save her baby after being beaten up by her boyfriend who was a gang member. Tilly who because of her medical problems can't have kids of her own sees this has her chance to be a mom and although she feels guilty for some of the things she thinks and feels like wanting Sophia to stay in jail when she goes and how she feels when she learns that she was killed in jail. I also felt bad for Cris because his family didn't change they turned their backs on him and Sophia but when they found out she had a baby they wanted it. Landry was the rock that Tilly and Cris needed him to be. This book was well written with no errors in grammar of spelling like the other books in this series. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Finally we get more Tilly and Cris and Landry! Be prepared for some tears both good and bad but oh so worth it. We get a glimpse into Cris's past and we finally get some answers there. I'm really happy these characters talked to Tymber so she could write the rest or at least more of their story.

The Romance Review

Get a tissue box ladies, you might need a few to blot the tears suspiciously leaking down your face. My love-hate relationship with Tilly swings hard towards love again. In this latest episode of the "kinky" submissives and the dominants who love them, Tilly really gets hit hard. For those who have lost children or desperately want children but cannot have them, this story may hit a raw nerve. I have no children and I will never have children. I understand Tilly's mournful desire. Tilly's desperate longing for a child of her own is all too clear.

The conflict in this story is realistic and moving. This main conflict is one which is a more common struggle than we care to notice. Sometimes a good girl makes bad decisions, one after another, and ends up in a very bad place. Sofia is such a girl. She does have one saviour and it is her cousin Cris. What is moving about this story is how Tilly and Cris rush to Sofia's aid. The events which unfold are all predictable and I anticipate with a pit in my stomach. I can easily guess what will happen and I keep hoping I'm wrong. In this story, I am sad to learn I am right every time. Bloody hell. I am so emotionally vested my heart physically hurts as each blow comes. Just remembering what happens as I write this review brings tears to my eyes.

What I especially appreciate in this story is how Ms. Dalton does not make Tilly, Cris and Landry the naïve good Samaritans. They are very cautious about Sofia and almost too hard on her in my mind. Personally, I have no family or friends who have been in Sofia's situation so I cannot speak to Tilly's hardness with Sofia. Whilst I'm taken aback by how they view and treat Sofia, it does stay true to all three characters. None of them can be taken as fools. They are street savvy. They fought to get where they are and they know how to use the power they now have.

There is a constant reoccurring theme in this series which mildly bothers me. The dichotomy of asshat blood families versus chosen families is a bit excessive. I'm trying to recall the last time any of these characters have a solid and very supportive family unit borne of blood other than Chelbie in Sapiosexual. Family as in mother, father, cousin and siblings who are not in the lifestyle. It is not to say that Ms. Dalton needs to write a balanced view with supporting loving family members. It just is an odd note I'm noticing. Many of these characters have traumatic pasts with bad childhood memories. A good majority of them are estranged or become estranged from their blood families. The only "good" people are their friends in the society who become their family. Maybe it is because of this commonality which moves me more. It is just an observation. Regardless, this book is fabulous.

This romance is highly recommended for those who love the Tilly, Cris and Landry. This book will show them in another beautiful light.

Shadow's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

This book is a reminder of how this author can tell a story that drags the reader into the action, twists their emotions and leaves them with a book hangover that lasts for days.

We met the characters in earlier books, particularly Tilly, Landry and Cris, from Cardinal's Rule. These three have a complex relationship and have reluctantly given up on the possibility of Tilly having children due to medical issues, when Cris' cousin Sofia contacts them. The former girlfriend of a gang member, she is a new mother and is trying to escape the baby's father, who has beaten her senseless. Fear of her ex and dislike of her father leads Sofia to give the trio custody of her baby, Katie. The three start providing a safe haven for mother and child, until the mother is taken back to jail for violating her probation. When Sofia is killed by a gang member, the guilt is hard for all of them bear, especially when they learn that the cops were using her .

But things aren't that easy for the trio to keep the little girl they have already come to love. Cris' family, the same group that threw him out for being gay, is trying for custody of Katy. Can the fact Sofia gave her to them make the difference?

Interspersed with the enthralling story are sex scenes that will heat up your e-reader to the damage point. Because the three of them switch roles, the scenes are not just hot but intriguing. But the story line is what makes this book. When the author is “on” her books are works of art. This one is a masterpiece.

Tilly, Landry and Cris... what's not to love about them. They have easily become one of my favorite trios.

Tymber does not disappoint with her new book Impact. When I first learned that Tilly, Landry and Cris would have another story I was bouncing in my seat. This story was just... WOW...It had it's highs and lows and once again I needed to tissues. I loved that I got to know more about Cris and his past and Tilly too. My heart hurt for them, but thank god for the friends, no not friends their friends are their family and it is a family that sticks together.

Tilly's bestfriend Loren is amazing and strong and clever as hell. Tilly is so lucky to have her in her corner when she is needed.

I don't want to spoil this review for anyone that hasn't read Impact yet. But please do. It was a book that I could not put down and easily read in a day. I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed and I can't wait for the next one. Tymber's Suncoast Society Series is the best and it's a series that I continually need to read over and over again.

It was fun to have another visit with some old friends. Tilly, Laudry, and Chris have a made a successful life together and they are only getting stronger and stronger. But now after an unexpected phone call they are facing a whole new adventure. The journey is emotional but the end result is lots of love and happiness.

One in a million!

I believe this book tugs at the heart strings of real life. It's unpredictable. It's honest, bare, raw, and perfect. Landry,Chris, Tilly are too easy to love! Bravo, Dalton!

Working my way through the Suncoast Society series - know this contains characters that I don’t like but thought maybe seeing more of their story would change my mind. No still hate Tilly and Landry - Cris should have walked in the first book Cardinal’s Rule when they pulled their shit when Landry was willing to dump Cris for Tilly because apparently she is the be all end all.

Still not sure how she seems to be a jack of all trades throughout the series. This is truly a relationship I hate and is not realistic at all and trust me I know a couple sadists and even they agree this whole scenario is not realistic at all and quite frankly disturbing.

For those that like Tilly and Landry to each their own but frankly they are not true representations of the lifestyle.

I know it’s fiction but these are truly the two characters Ms. Dalton has written about that I cannot fit into any realistic scenario in the lifestyle.

Emotional and enthralling! I love the Suncoast series and these are my favourite menage group from it!! Sexy and sad and exciting and suspense-ful so seriously...what more could you ask of a novel?! This update to the story of Tilly, Landry and Cris is beautifully written with plenty of snark comments (in true Tilly style), lots of loving and supportive dynamics between the Suncoast Society's favourite menage and a dramatic roller coaster of emotions that had me reading the book in one sitting!!
All hail author Tymber Dalton! Queen of a sexy and satisfying read, every time! I'm now reading the next in the series!

Again, I want to be Tilly when I grow up. Reading her story just shows me that with the proper support, whether its blood family or nonblood family, many circumstances can be handled without violence. Would have liked to know what happens with Marcus and his court case as well as the wrongful death case as well.

Thanks for your guide thru this one Tymber.

4 1/2 star read, featuring Landry, Tilly, and Cris once again. This trio of characters is a mainstay in the Suncoast Society series, and book begins by filling in some of the back story of Cris' life from the age of 16 on. While it serves to flesh out Cris' character even more, it also provides the backdrop to the present storyline, which involves Cris' cousin Sofia and her newborn daughter, Katie.

I love that Tymber Dalton's characters are imperfect beings with real emotions. Tilly, in particular, is such a multidimensional character, and this book explores so many aspects of her personality in a way we really haven't seen since Cardinal's Rule. For readers who have suffered along with Tilly as she watched so many of her friends have children, this story is a huge payoff. It also shows Landry at his best, in my opinion, and the inclusion of Loren (Tilly's best friend) helps to remind readers of the close relationship between the two. We could all use a best friend like Loren!

If you are a fan of the Suncoast Series, you'll love this book. If you are new to it, you absolutely need to read Cardinal's Rule before this one, but you really don't need to read all of the others for this one to make sense. That being said, the Suncoast Series is a wonderfully kinky world - if this one appeals, you just might want to go back to the beginning and read from there...

If you like well developed characters that you will continue to see throughout the series then this is for you. They can be read stand alone but you will get so much more out of them if read in order. There is good character and plot development as in all of Ms. Dalton's books.

This story is a continuation of Tilly, Landry and Cris and their journey as a Poly family. It can be read as a stand alone but read Cardinal's Rules to get the whole story. It looks back at Cris' history and of his favorite cousin Sofia. It was very sad at times as a young mother in a horrible life situation, A newborn baby and a gang. A young woman who was trying to do the right thing and change. I was so glad she put things in place to take care of her infant. And then to see her used and manipulated by law enforcement. I hated Cris' family and the history he had with his father and his uncle. Again Landry comes to the forefront as the dominant. This one made me very sad but had a good ending. I've read some of the other reviews. Not every book can be happy all the time. They would become boring. This is a deeper book from Ms. Dalton. I did enjoy it all in all.

There is HOT sex and BDSM but not boring nor repeating. I don't know how she does it. Everytime she finds a new twist or a new theme. I completely felt Tilly's feelings and I was hopeful for her. It was good to connect with these characters once more. I went back and read this once more in anticipation of a new book about this trio. I'd love to learn more about Landry's background.

WOW! Thank you Tymber! When I first read Cardinal's Rule I didn't really like the story. The Dynamic with Landry, Tilly and Cris turned into one that wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong, the poly relationship wasn't the issue. It was the limited acceptance and forgiveness that was apparent in the relationship even after they were all together. The dynamic with Cris clearly the bottom rung in every way was definitely not for me. And some of the scenes difficult to read. I always thought, should I reread this series, that I would skip that book.

Well, not anymore! Thank you for writing this little wrap up for them. The growth of the poly dynamic between these 3 has been amazing. We have seen these characters throughout this series, watched them struggle and grow together over time, and have learned a little more about each of their pasts. Impact, though emotional in all ways, was by far the best update and wrap up for the 3 Suncoast characters that have been the backbone for so many of their friends at times.

Throughout this series, it is sometimes hard to see Tilly as a soft, caring woman since she presents such a hard face to the world a she protects her own; but in this book, you not only see the softer side of Tilly, but the softer sides of Landry and Chris. This was such a sad book in ways and such an uplifting book in other ways. Chris has outgrown the pain of his childhood. Tilly has grown past the tragedy of her childhood and Landry has stood by them through the whole of it. If you are at all acquainted with the Suncoast Society, you will enjoy this book. It can be read as a standalone, but you will get so much more out of it if you have read the series.

I was so happy that we got a follow-up to Tilly, Landry, and Cris' story especially after everything that had happened in some of the party books. This book was really emotional for me as someone who struggles with fertility issues(not to the extent that Tilly does and for a different reason). And even though some of the events that happened in the book were heavily foreshadowed and obvious, it didn't take away from the story. The only complaint I have is that I wish the "Daddy" scene between Tilly and Landry had been a bit more in-depth.

Lasting impact

Tilly finally gets her complete HEA!!

A surprise is in store when Tilly answers Cris's phone. It will change her world forever, thankfully for the better. There are MANY ups and down to get there, but in the end Landry, Cris, Loren and Leigh are all there for her. Loved this one!

Tilly is my most beloved character. Everyone should have a vicious Redbird for a friend. In this one Tilly is the one who needs help after a rescue mission. In the end Tilly gets what she has been in mourning for that she thought would never be hers.

This was a highly emotional story. I have to say, out of all the groups in all 32 books in this series. I remember and love this group the best. I am so glad to see the three characters in this book are able to have their own piece of heaven in the form of a peanut.
