A witch and a dragon, bonded together by fate, yet destined to be apart because neither can learn to let the other into their lives, or their hearts.
Dòmhnall, Dragon Lord of Spellholm and the greatest dragon to ever live, is unable to trust Tara the witch. And with good reason, or so he thinks. After all, centuries ago, a witch made him believe she was his true mate and then stole his heart stone.
It's not as if Tara is completely innocent and without fault either, so he thinks he is justified in keeping her at arms length.
But it's been years since Tara came to the Dragon Stronghold in Spellholm, surely he has seen she is no threat to him. Or maybe she is, because he is so completely arrogant and condescending to her, she might just find a potion to turn him into a frog.
What these two need, is to get away from their everyday lives, to learn to accept each other as ordinary people. After all, take away his dragon, and Dòmhnall is an ordinary man. OK, so he still has the body of a god and muscles Tara would very much like to touch, and skin she would like to kiss and ... well, you get the picture.
As for Tara, the gift of being a seer has always weighed heavy on her, despite her brash outward persona. Add to that her desire to be the most powerful witch in Spellholm, and Dòmhnall might very well see her as a danger to more than his heart.
Is it possible that when stripped of all their baggage, and thrown into the middle of a forest, where they are neither dragon or witch, but normal people, they might finally find out they are true mates, and a perfect match?
Or will they kill each other with their bare hands?
One thing is for sure, they are not getting home unless they learn to depend on each other and let go of who they were. Only then can they come together and be one.

Awesome!
Can't wait for the next book! This felt like a cliffhanger, but is not. Read the series from the beginning it's worth it. I hope Raines gives us more stories in this long journey from Bear Creek series to Spellholm! You will love all the twists and turns. I can't wait myself, you are awesome Raines.

Tara and Domhnall
I was so looking forward to read Tara and Dohnall's story. Two strong and stubborn characters. Him, willing to ignored their bond and her, equally determined to be part of his life. This was a exciting read packed with action, adventure intrigue and romance. Sad to see this series go but excited to read more wonderful books from this author. Highl recommended

Brilliant Series
Mate of the Dragon (Her Dragons Bane Book 6) by Harmony Raines. Domhnall and Tara are mates but after a terrifying occasion in his part he is terrified to act on it. Then the Dryads took a hand in things.

Good series. This ended it for all. It was time for the dragon lord and powerful witch to drop their defenses to become their trues selves and realize they are two parts of a single power of themselves. They are better together.

I have been in love with the Her Dragon's Bane Series since Harmony Raines introduced the very first book, Soul of the Dragon. I have followed the series faithfully and have now read all six books and I can honestly say that I have loved each and every one. But, who doesn't love handsome, sexy dragons, right? We met Tara the Witch very early in the series and I have always been fascinated by her character. I'm just so excited because we finally get to read Tara's story and it was definitely worth the wait! Harmony Raines has saved the best for last; so buckle up my lovelies, it's a wild ride - literally! The story is exciting, original, well developed, romantic and full of suspense. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view which, in my opinion, always adds to the understanding of not only the story but the characters as well. The dialogue is well executed and flows effortlessly. Harmony Raines is a master storyteller and a true professional and as such, her books are always well crafted and well edited. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging and will capture your heart. Raines skillfully combines these elements into a delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with danger, adventure, suspense, magic, fantasy, romance and a generous measure of heartbreaking angst. This story proves once again why Harmony Raines is a true master of her trade.
Dragon Lord Domhnall may very well be the greatest dragon to ever live but Tara is the most powerful witch in Spellholm, at least in her opinion. Yet she still is unable to get Domhnall to trust and accept her as his mate, They were fated to be together but Domhnall refuses to acknowlege her or their fate to be together and Tara is beginning to tire of his behavior. Maybe she should turn him into a toad! It would serve him right! But no, she would never do that no matter how tempting the thought. If she could truly become the most powerful witch, then she would certainly be considered a worthy mate and Domhnall would have to accept her. And that would take knowledge because knowledge is power. Tara may be a powerful Seer but unfortunately can never see her own future and no amount of power could ever help her to see her own destiny. She's so tired of being taken for granted. She would trade her very soul to win the love and respect of the great Dragon Lord. Of course, she may be partly to blame for his reluctance. She doesn't have the most congenial personality and at times, could be considered abrasive. She's just pathetic! She doesn't even like herself so how could anyone else. For now she would continue to be at Domhnall's beck and call and continue to only dream of spending her nights in the arms of the handsome Dragon Lord.
Domhnall finds it hard to trust anyone, especially a witch after one stole his heart stone several centuries ago. Logically, he knows that Tara had nothing to do with the deception by the other witch but he still finds it hard to accept that she is is true mate. He may not trust her but that doesn't stop him from wanting her and he knows that she wants him as well. The temptation to throw caution to the wind and take the beautiful witch is almost overpowering. He had succumbed to taking a kiss only once but could still remember her taste on his lips. It was glorious. But he could resist, couldn't he? But when faced with an opportunity to walk away from love and his mate, what will he choose? Can fate find a way to finally bring these two stubborn souls together? Hmm....I wonder??? Handsome, stubborn Dragon Lord-check! Beautiful, powerful and very independent witch-check! Fate, destiny and a little push from an outside force-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, spicy romance and dreamy sex-you bet! That and a whole lot more! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! I believe this story can be read as a standalone although I would highly recommend reading the entire series. This story does include a wonderfully written happy ending. Woo-Hoo for Tara!

Equal parts fire and tenderness, this is a battle of egos and heartstrings that pays off beautifully.

Omg so good. I freaking loved all of these books.
Tara and Domhnall finally get there story and OMG what a story. Tara is at her wits end she doesn't think Domhnall will ever come around. After Domhnall was trick into giving away his heart stone buy a witch years ago he doesn't think he could ever trust again. When Domhnall and Tara gets an invitation to meet with the exclusive druids they go. Only once they get there they are tricked into being sent into an alternate plain. Will they find each other or will they kill each other or is there something more dangerous they need to fight. Did I mention they are completely human in this plain. Oh my oh well get your copy today and find out what happens. I loved this book you will to.
