Claim me. Tame me. Let me run.

I have a respectable job, sensible shoes, and an ex-husband. I'm not looking for another man. Certainly not three.

Then a fae lord steals me away to his Court. I’m his captive, his pet, his newest indulgence.

Did I mention he likes to share?

His second-in-command is disturbingly fond of discipline. The third is all wild smiles and vicious hunger.

But their Master terrifies me most. He feeds me from his hand and lets me curl against him, making me forget I'm his prisoner.

I have a life back home. I need to run.

Preferably before I start wishing they'd stop me.

Shahwa Master is a dark why choose fantasy romance and the first book in the Court of Blood and Hunger series, featuring three morally black fae men, a sensible British woman in her forties at their mercy, and an eventual HEA.

Please This story contains explicit non-monogamy, including on-page encounters between main characters and other people, as well as themes some readers may find disturbing. Please consult the full content warnings at www.anitamurraybooks.com before reading.

Book One ends on an emotional cliffhanger, with the romance continuing in the next book.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Okay, I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEED this book. Like genuinely, what the actual fuck did Anita Murray just do to me?! 😭🔥

*Shahwa Master* had absolutely no business being this addictive. I went into it expecting a filthy dark fantasy romance and came out completely obsessed with Liz, Loki, Raspa and this entire unhinged world. The spice? INSANE. The characters? OBSESSED. The humour? PERFECT. The tension? I was practically chewing the pages.

First of all — **LIZ.**

I absolutely adored having a FMC who felt like an actual grown woman. She isn't some naïve little heroine who suddenly forgets how to think the second a ridiculously attractive man looks at her. She's intelligent, sarcastic, practical, stubborn and so bloody funny. Even when she's terrified and completely out of her depth, that inner commentary is still there. Her humour had me laughing throughout the book, and I loved that beneath all of it she's someone who has spent so much of her life taking care of everyone else.

And that made the whole dynamic of this book hit SO much harder.

Because suddenly she's thrown into this completely fucked-up situation where control is taken away from her and she's surrounded by these powerful, dangerous men who are absolutely not operating by human morals. The whole **pet/master dynamic** should not have worked on me as well as it did, but OH. MY. GOD. 🥵

Then we have **LOKI.**

Sir.

SIR.

The audacity of this man. 😭

He is possessive, dangerous, arrogant, completely unpredictable, morally questionable as FUCK and somehow ridiculously charming at the same time. One minute I wanted Liz to run as far away from him as physically possible and the next minute I was basically sitting there like, *actually Liz, maybe being his pet isn't the worst career move you've ever made.*

The way his relationship with Liz develops was one of my favourite parts of the entire book. It starts from such an unequal, dark and complicated place, but somewhere amongst all the chaos, possession and filth, you start seeing genuine attachment creeping in. Those tiny moments where you realise **oh shit… he actually cares about her** had me in a chokehold.

And then there's **RASPA**.

I genuinely don't know what Anita Murray put into this man but I need more immediately.

His personality is completely different to Loki's and I LOVED that. He's colder, more controlled and initially far harder to read, which made every little shift in his relationship with Elizabeth feel significant. The banter between them, the irritation, the tension, the way he says *Elizabeth*… YES. Give me all of it.

And the dynamic between the men themselves was just as entertaining. They aren't interchangeable love interests who exist purely to worship the FMC. They have their own relationships, loyalties, histories, personalities and agendas, which made the whole why-choose element feel so much richer.

Now let's discuss the **SPICE** because GOOD LORD.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Actually, fuck it.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book is FILTHY.

And I mean that as the highest possible compliment.

It doesn't give you three hundred pages of hand brushing and longing glances before somebody finally gets naked. Anita Murray said we're here for dark fantasy, depravity and questionable decisions and she DELIVERED. 😂

But what really surprised me was that the spice didn't completely overshadow the actual story. There's politics, magic, different worlds, power struggles, betrayals, danger and this bigger conflict unfolding around the characters. I became genuinely invested in what was happening outside the bedroom — which is impressive considering what was happening **inside** the bedroom. 👀

I also loved how morally messy everything was.

This is DARK romance. These men aren't secretly golden retrievers wearing villain costumes. They do awful things. They make choices that made me sit there thinking *Liz babe… perhaps we should reconsider this situation* while simultaneously understanding exactly why she was becoming emotionally tangled up in them.

And somehow, underneath all the darkness and depravity, there's actually something weirdly emotional about Liz's journey.

She's spent so much of her life being responsible. Taking care of things. Thinking about everybody else. Carrying the mental load. Then she's dropped into a world where these terrifyingly powerful men essentially tell her, *you're ours now; we'll handle everything.*

Is it healthy?

Probably not.

Did I eat that shit UP?

**ABSOLUTELY.**

And then THAT ENDING?!

EXCUSE ME?!

You cannot make me this attached, give me all of that development and then leave me on an emotional cliffhanger like that. The last stretch of this book had me STRESSED. The danger ramps up, feelings become impossible to ignore, everything starts colliding and suddenly I realised I'd gone from reading for the filthy why-choose fantasy to being genuinely emotionally invested in these absolute lunatics.

The transition from *"what the fuck is happening?"* to *"THOSE ARE MY MEN, DON'T TOUCH THEM"* needs to be studied.

This book was chaotic, dark, hilarious, ridiculously spicy, morally questionable and completely addictive.

Exactly my kind of book. 😂

I loved Liz.
I loved Loki.
I loved Raspa.
I loved the banter.
I loved the possessiveness.
I loved the world.
I loved how completely fucking unhinged it was.

And I NEED BOOK TWO.

Immediately.

**5 HUGE, FILTHY, UNHINGED STARS. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**

If you like dark fantasy romance, why choose, possessive morally-grey men, a FMC with an actual personality, loads of banter, extremely explicit spice and relationships that make you question your own moral compass…

**READ. THIS. BOOK.**

Just don't blame me when Loki and Raspa permanently alter your brain chemistry. 🥵🔥

THIS IS A REVIEW OF AN EARLY COPY RECEIVED FROM THE AUTHOR.

What a ride!!! There is so much to say about this book!

Science fiction (multiple worlds)
BDSM(Master/pet dynamic -harem)
Magic (blood binding/ teleporting/healing/etc)
SPICE (4 out of 5 the scenes are short but frequent and descriptive)
Dark- check your triggers there are many things that could be difficult for some to read

First the FMC- finally an older woman in a dark romance book! I feel like Liz is a great depiction of a woman in her early 40s who has been through a lot. She has older kids, is divorced from a lack luster marriage. She has a career and the attitude of a woman who is tired of shit but still holds the role of mom/protector so well. She struggles throughout the book with admitting her own desires and handling dealing with men who have a very rigid way of thinking and expectations of what she should do.

The MMCs- These men may not be for everyone- they are dominant, controlling, brash, magical men from another planet, they have blood bonded people from many other planets/races some by choice and some by force. I enjoyed all 3 of the MMCs but there were a lot of mixed feelings at times because of their behaviors/actions- it was fun to see different sides of each of them.

Loki is the main male. My feelings towards him definitely changed throughout the book. He was frustrating and infuriating at times and sweet and endearing at other times.

Raspa is the second most prominent MMC and he was very entertaining. Strict, controlled, but something else beneath the surface.

Michel was a center to the story but was not as prominent as the other 2. This character is the true unhinged psychopath at this party, but he quickly became my favorite of the 3 MMCs. The peeks into his story had me wanting so much more. He was my favorite of them (not sure what that says about me, but here we are)

The story itself- this was very well written, it flowed well and I didn’t find any plot holes. The supporting characters were well rounded, not flat, they had their own personalities and motivations that the author really portrayed well with minimal text.

Basically ends on a cliffhanger, but was still satisfying overall and felt like a closure to part of the story at least. I can’t wait for books 2 and 3 so I can come back to these characters and these worlds!

⭐ 10/5 STARS — FIVE ARE NOT ENOUGH! ⭐

📖 Shahwa Master: A Court of Blood and Hunger — Anita Murray

Here’s the thing: I knew this book was meant for me before I even reached chapter one.
The dedication made me laugh and nearly cry. I was like, “OMG! I’m the woman in the dedication, even the cat part!” 😅🤣
And then I met Elizabeth.
A 45-year-old divorced mother of two. Intelligent, sarcastic, observant, and so wonderfully REAL.
As a divorced mom in my 30s raising two boys, I cannot explain what it meant to finally read a fantasy heroine whose experiences felt like mine. The way Liz uses motherhood to understand people, navigate difficult situations, and survive? I felt every word.
One passage about motherhood made me stop reading and stare at the wall for several minutes, remembering everything I’d endured. So much of what Liz went through felt painfully familiar. Even Mark… I had a Mark in my life, too.
So, yeah, Liz, they were running a f*cking spa! 😅🤣
I didn’t realize how desperately I needed a heroine like Elizabeth until I met her.

And then there’s LOKI. 🥵🔥

The darkness, the BDSM, the fear, the complicated emotions, the magic, the political intrigue, the betrayals, the twists… I LOVED EVERYTHING.
This is dark romance, and it doesn’t pretend otherwise. Loki is no gentle prince, and that’s part of the story’s intensity.
But underneath all that darkness is a story about freedom, strength, choices, and what it truly means to care for someone.
This book spoke a language I understood beyond words. And mind you, English isn’t even my first language! LOL. Yet the way Liz… oops, Lisa 🤭 used her experience as a mom to understand people and turn situations in her favor felt so natural to me. I didn’t even have to try to picture it. The scenes just came alive in my mind!

For once, I didn’t just escape into a fantasy world. I belonged in it. ❤️

Anita Murray, what have you DONE to me?! 😭

I miss Shahwa. I miss Liz. I miss Loki, Raspa, and yes, even Michel! 😑

I received this as an ARC from the author.

This is my first time reviewing a book like this, and so to anybody reading this who knows me in real life - hi, yes, this is me!

Shawha Master comes with many trigger warnings, and I insist that you read them before going in blind. This book includes knife play, blood magic, whips, humiliation, borderline (yes I said borderline) non-consensual and public sex, RH, MFM, and master-slave relationships.

The dedication alone would have dragged me in because honestly, I've definitely looked at my cat and thought "lucky bitch" while slogging through my middle aged daily life.

I will admit that the first few chapters shocked me and I was worried that the subject matter might be too much for my fragile little mind. Clearly not because I enjoyed the shit out of this book.

Elizabeth is rescued from an attack on an intergalactic magical diplomatic conference (didn't think those words would ever be seen together 😅) by Loki, a fae dark mage, who takes her back to his home world and immediately bonds and binds her to him. This is already intriguing and different because Elizabeth - or Lisa, as Loki insists on calling her - is a 43 year old divorced mother of 2 adult sons who works as an analyst for the Earth group responsible for human-fae politics. The furthest thing from the usual 19 year old heroines usually featured in these types of books.

Loki is not morally grey - he is black, and his Household - including Raspa and Michel - are just as bad if not worse than him. They keep a collective harem of bloodbinds - men and women that they use for magic and pleasure in any way they see fit.

Over the course of 7 days we see Lisa experience a sexual awakening under the not-so-gentle hands of Loki and his Household, and see how the men share deeper pieces of themselves with her and each other.

This was great fun to read and yes, it was also very sexy, and while sex is a big part of the storyline it also didn't overshadow the plot. The characters have excellent depth and I cannot wait for more!

I had the honor of reading this book before its publication, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity when it came along. My first reaction after finishing it is that I feel like I’ve been put through a meat grinder and left to fend for myself—seriously, what on earth just happened?! Phew. Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows that you only have to say "why choose," and I’m immediately on board. It’s my favorite underrated trope—I can’t help it! I found the book an easy read, and the story moved at a pace I really enjoyed, never getting stuck on a single point for too long. But wow, did this book put me through the wringer! Let’s just start by saying this is definitely not on the "gentle" side; it plays with triggers quite ruthlessly from beginning to end, sometimes even making the reader feel a bit uncomfortable—but what can I say? Loki completely swept me away. And as the icing on the cake, there were a couple of other truly delicious characters, too. It took a bit of effort to get into this magical world and all its intricacies, but little by little it started to unfold—though I still feel a bit lost, to be honest! The story cleverly blends the human world with this parallel "magical world," where everyone is assigned their place—whether they want it or not. Right now, I’m a bit overwhelmed by the emotions this stirred up; despite all its craziness, it managed to hook me in a peculiar way—to the point where I’m questioning my own taste in books and feeling the urge to douse myself in holy water. This is the first installment in a series, and I gather that the characters’ stories will continue in the next volume—which I fully intend to read, if at all possible. It’s a wild, deranged story, yet one that also offers glimpses of other elements.Shahwa Master: A Dark Fantasy Romance

*****ADVANCED READER COPY REVIEW****

The trigger warnings did not disappoint and I admit, I was not fully prepared for that type of tainted and SPICY violence but I surprisingly enjoyed it. We follow ‘Lisa’ as she comes to find that captivity is not quite synonymous with Stockholm Syndrome…. She would know. I am still laughing about it. Our FMC is very feisty and her defiance had a tendency to land her on the kinky end of punishments. Our MMC, Loki, was DIABOLICAL so imagine my surprise when I learned he was the most empathetic of all THREE of them. Yes, I said THREE!! We do get some very borderline terrifying yet enthralling spicy scenes. Elizabeth…oh no, I mean LISA (Don’t tell master!), grapples with her fear and awaken desire while under the control of the Shahwa Master.

Yes yes, there is a plot. You just may get distracted by the dynamic between humans and their masters in this fantasy world.

I read a TON of dark romance but it was refreshing to see a new world that was not overly complicated. It was a little confusing at first but I was IMMEDIATELY drawn in, much like Lisa was drawn to Loki. By the end of the book, I understood Loki so much more. He is still ruthless and he BETTER GET HIS MOODY BUTT IN GEAR!!! You will know what I mean by the time you reach the end of the book.

The most interesting part to me were the themes we often find in motherhood. The main character compares a lot of her experience to motherhood. I honestly never would have considered this perspective before. It is hilarious to see her compare handling toddlers to a very power Shahwa masters who yea, murder sometimes when the mood strikes. (Tantrums at their finest). Underneath it all, they just have misunderstood feelings… right? Haha

Thank you to Anita Murray for providing me with an advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Well, I went into this expecting a dark, filthy fantasy romance. What I wasn't expecting was to find myself simultaneously wanting to throw a chair at a man, wrap him in a blanket and give him a bloody hug. 😂😭

This book had me hooked. I genuinely couldn't put it down and was rather annoyed when 2am rolled around and I had to admit defeat.

The characters are wonderfully complicated. They're morally black, frustrating, occasionally surprisingly tender, and there's so much more beneath the surface than their actions initially suggest. I particularly loved that our FMC is a woman in her forties. It's refreshing to explore sexual awakening and self-discovery through a mature character rather than yet another twenty-year-old.

And yes, this book is HEAVY on the spice. 🌶️ But what impressed me was how naturally it fits into the world-building. Desire, power and control are fundamental to the culture and magic system, so the explicit scenes feel like part of the story rather than something added for the sake of it.

There's plenty of room for the characters to develop, and I suspect we've only scratched the surface of what this world has to offer.

It made me laugh, frustrated the hell out of me, and somehow even made me cry. I wasn't prepared for that last one!

An excellent four-star story with an extra half star for the sheer excitement of reading it. I'm already eager for the next instalment.

I was fortunate enough to be an ARC reader for this author, and again I am beyond humbled that they reached out and gave me the opportunity read their book!

This is the first book of the A Court of Blood and Hunger series, and what a way to kick it off!

Let's start with our FMC, Liz, a 43 year old divorcee with two adult children, a sensible job, even more sensible footwear and, quite frankly, a bland lifestyle who is refreshingly relatable!

Then there's Loki, our MMC. An ever-so-slightly unhinged Fae lord, who looks like a viking god, with a taste for kidnap and power play, degredation, his own version of discipline...and what's more is he likes to share with his viking-god-like friends.

We are introduced to Raspa, Loki's second in command, and Michael (aka Misha), who gives some very serious "psychopath-killer" vibes; and some other characters who clearly will have bigger stories to come along the way as the series progresses.

This book follows Liz's struggles from trying to push herself out of her comfort zone by attending a work event, and ending up being kept as Loki's newest "pet" and the emotional rollercoaster in between is very well written. There is great use of humour, even throughout some of the darker parts of the story. There are even some inner monologues that I thought were hilariously accurate in a "well that's totally what I'd say to myself too" kind of way.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, which could easily have several different outcomes, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

First and foremost I will say to check the trigger warnings before diving into this one- they didn't bother me personally but everyone is different!

That being said I ate this book up! It was dark in all the right ways, the spice was absolutely dirty and unhinged in so many ways. The storyline itself didn't get lost with the amount of spice that was in the book which was also great. I have a love/hate relationship with Loki, Michel and Rasha throughout the book. The elements of some sort of humanity lay in there somewhere but they are mostly very dark characters. The FMC was fun to me- and I really enjoyed her personality and sarcasm. Being in her 40's was a good element too because she had life experience to add to what she was currently going through. It was less angst and more rational thinking with what she was going through (with the occasional reactive response which is understandable.)

If you love why choose, dark romance with pitch black fae men, this is a must read! I can't wait to see what comes next because that ending definitely left me wanting more!

Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Characters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy of this book. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Pay attention to the trigger warnings because this story is heavy on some bdsm elements and super spicy. The storyline was engaging and pulled me in from the opening chapter. I greatly enjoyed the older FMC and her real world emotions and even her old knees 😂 The relationship between the FMC and the MMC was hot and it was not insta love. There is sex early in the book at 5%, so keep that in mind. If you are looking for yearning, you won’t find it here. Most of this book takes place on another planet and the story elements there were definitely interesting. It doesn’t end on a plot cliffhanger, which I appreciated. I think the author did a really good job with this book and the editing was high quality. If you are looking for a spicy read with an actual plot, I’d definitely recommend this book. I will definitely read the next book in the series.

"You see me, and you like me." 🥹

What a wild ride this one was. At first I was like, ok...we got here fast, and I wasn't sure this was going to be for me. I like spice but I like story and character development more. And I'm pleased to say Anita Murray delivered! Oh boy did she deliver. Her characters are so much more complex than those first glimpses and I cannot wait to learn more in her future releases. We've got some political intrigue and an interesting magical system that is fueled and controlled much like a vampire.

Beyond that, the writing style is mature and the book well written, with great pacing that kept me engaged. Even the dedication felt like it was written for me. I relate so much to the FMC, a 43 year old divorcee living, for all intents and purposes, a mundane life. That is until she runs into our MMC 😈

If you like dark romantasy, add this to your TBR. It'll suck you in and you'll be begging for more 😘

Potential spoilers contained.

This book was very enjoyable and I was taken in straight from the dedication. I enjoyed the dynamic but I’m hoping the next books flesh out all the MMCs a little more as I felt we got a fair bit of Liz’s background but not enough of theirs and I want to understand what really makes each of them tick.

I am curious to see where the next book goes and although this book says that it ends on an emotional cliffhanger, I don’t feel like I’ve had my heart ripped out and I’d be picking up the next one right now and reading in to the night because I just had to know where it goes next. Don’t get me wrong though, I am looking forward to the next one!

Favourite quote from this book: ‘A throwback to my parenting days. Validate feelings first, then negotiate. Apparently, the method applied equally well to immortal predators and toddlers’. This one got a proper giggle out of me.

ADVANCED COPY READ

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 Stars

I went into this expecting dark fae, morally questionable men and plenty of spice, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed.🖤

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this book. The dark fae world, the morally grey characters and the whole feeling of not quite knowing who to trust had me wanting to keep turning the pages.

There’s something about morally black characters who are unpredictable, dangerous and just a little bit terrifying that makes for such addictive read.

And let’s talk about the spice! 🌶️🌶️🌶️ This definitely isn’t your typical fantasy romance. The relationship dynamics are complicated, the chemistry is intense and the darker elements make this one stand out.

I really enjoyed Lisa, the main character navigate a world so far removed from her own, and I loved how the story kept me questioning what was going to happen next.

Dark fae, morally black men, complicated relationships and spice? Yes please. 🖤

No spoilers!! I got this book as an ARC reader, and I had so much fun with it.

First and foremost...I LOVE the MFC..love her! She an actual adult, with life experience, a more than decent amount of sarcasm, and an approach to problem solving that made me feel right at home. There wasn't any moment in this book where I felt like strangling someone for a stupid decision ( and lets face it, that happens all the fucking time when I'm reading)

This is smutty, there is a lot of sexytime going about, but the book is well balanced. The plot weaves in and out of the story, and you get hints at background info in simple interactions underway. I enjoyed the smutty parts, but it was the story that kept me hooked, and made me pull up the digital book at any chance ( just hoping noone tried to read over my shoulder in the bus )

And..yeah..I'd let those MMC's play with me for sure >_>

I was so excited to ARC read this book , I really enjoyed this , the FMC is in her 40s which I love , shes hardened from life , responsibility, and day to day things that as mothers were expected to do. ENTER LOKI 😍 ok hes a Shahwa Master and his idea of romance is collars and alot of begging but in a scary kinda kill ya way 😉, Rasha and Michel are both a little unhinged - Michel more so 😅 this book deals with forced consent , knife work , and a lot of public sex 😉 , all written well and a good flow to the story , it was different that what ive read for a while and it didnt end how I expected it to , im excited to see when book 2 comes out as id like to continue the story of Liz(Lisa - Loki calls her this 😀) Loki, Rasha , Michel.

ARC Reader!

This book had me hook, line & sinker!

It took me a little while to get into the story, and I did find certain parts a little repetitive, which affected the pacing for me at times. That being said, once things picked up, I was absolutely hooked and ended up inhaling it!

It was also incredibly refreshing to have a FMC who wasn’t another fragile 18–20-year-old. Give me more mature female leads, please!

Whilst there were a few things that didn’t quite work for me, there was plenty that kept me invested, and for a debut novel, I think this is a really promising start. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for what Anita Murray writes next!

This is the first time I’ve had the joy of reading a romance with a female main character close to my age and it was done so well! I really connected with the self-discovery Liz was going through. I’ve also not read a romance where the spice was so tightly woven with the plot and character development and it was fantastic. The world building was great as well, I absolutely loved the mix of modern earth and ancient magical worlds (especially the juxtaposition of corporate life and life as Loki’s pet).
Can’t wait for the continuation of this story!

This was a dark, twisted, and dangerous fantasy romance that pulled me into its world of morally black Fae, captivity, obsession, and complicated desires. I loved the contrast between the sensible, mature heroine and the three completely unhinged Fae men who turn her world upside down. Each man brings something different to the story, and their individual personalities, dynamics, and relationships kept me intrigued. The tension, power struggles, and psychological push and pull made this one hard to put down.

I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started reading this. It started off slow, but I ended up loving it and the characters all grew on me. There was huge character development especially with the main mmc who you kind of hate to love and I loved seeing their different personalities and dynamics emerge. The fmc is in her 40s and the mmc’s are all immortal. Im excited to see their story continue in the next book! Beware that this book is dark-do read the trigger warnings.

I was lucky enough to be selected to receive an advanced (ARC) copy of this from the author. The book has a list of trigger warnings (which is probably what attracted me to put my name forward tbh 😆) and you have to consider that if you’re going to read it. I enjoyed it. It’s the first book of a series and I would definitely read any future books. It’s an interesting concept and the relationships are fascinating, I look forward to those being explored more. New dark sexual fantasy unlocked lol!

Reader beware, as the author warns, this is a very dark read. Mind your trigger warnings.

In saying that, I absolutely LOVED this one. Loki, Raspa and Michel are deliciously dark, and Liz is superbly stubborn! A few plot twists and turns along the way to keep things interesting. Absolutely cannot wait for the next book in this series!

A spicy, action-packed sci-fi romance featuring a confident 40-year-old FMC who attends an inter-world conference and finds herself entangled with an unexpected alien. What starts as an unlikely encounter quickly turns into a deliciously complicated submissive dynamic, with plenty of heat, tension and chemistry. Add in reverse harem, enemies-to-lovers, murder, danger, shocking twists and intergalactic intrigue, and you've got one seriously addictive read! 🌶️🔥

This was a fun time - the smut was varied and an FMC over 40 was a bonus. The relationships between characters and the magic system worked for a spice forward book. The characters were interesting and sometimes brought a little brevity to the depravity.

There was a plot between the spice that kept me
Interested.

This book is not for the faint hearted, it lived up to its name of dark romance. That ending broke me in the best way 😭😭😭 I loved this book so so so much, the characters have layers of complexity and you can truly feel the emotional struggles they go through. What are you waiting for get this book, you won't regret it!!!

No spoilers ! I really enjoyed this book, not what I was expecting at all, the relationship between them, more under stable & relatable than what you think
