The Pastor's Other Woman

Rate this book
Andrew "Drew" Webber is the epitome of a man of God. Or is he?
Drew preaches every Sunday to bring God's people closer to Him and he's always going out of his way to be a help to someone in his flock. He has been leading his wife's family church for the last ten years, but is that really his calling?
Jewel Webber is the beautiful, yet insecure wife of Drew. She loves her husband and their two daughters more than anything in life, but past hurts have caused her to remain in a depressed state of mind for so long that she has become complacent in her insecurities. Putting on a smile for the people, and even her family has Jewel making mistakes that could come back to either haunt or help her in the end.
Jasmine is Jewel's best friend, and it had been that way since their freshman year of college. She could never understand how Jewel had so much but was always miserable. Jewel had so many people who cherished her but she always found something about her appearance that sent her over the edge and Jasmine was tired of it. If Jewel couldn't be happy with the life God has blessed her with, then Jasmine would just claim it as her own. Only there was one problem… she wasn't Drew's only kept secret.
Bryce is Drew's best friend. They ran the streets together back in the day and had plenty of ladies beating down their doors. It was all fun and games until his eyes and heart fell for the one and only Jewel Rivers, she just wouldnt fall for him. Bryce always knew that he was called to preach and after plenty of childhood mistakes he wanted to do right and he wanted his boy Drew to follow suit. But that was easier said than done. Will God be forgiving to Bryce in the end by presenting him with his "good thing" or will he himself have to suffer the wrath that God dishes out?
How can a man of the cloth have such a sinister heart and everything he preached was a lie? Would God continue to cover him or does the collar he so expertly wears begin to choke him as secrets are revealed? Will Drew even care? Could it be that he and his wife are indeed "equally yoked" because they are playing with the same fire of destruction? Or will the pastor's other woman hold all of the cards in the end?

Drew & Crew
This was a great read! Once I started, I finished in a few hours! Good characters & storyline. This pastor Drew...His arrogant & manipulative nature kept him in villian status. His actions, though far-fetched at times were down right dirty! Jewel, on the other hand, also had issues. Jasmine was simple & Constance was a force. Bryce, although he has good intentions, the jury is still out on him...Kammy & Avery were jewels & I hope Avery made the right decision. I thought this was another exciting Christian read by Denora Boone that kept the pages turning quickly! So looking forward to the next part of this series!

Woah!!!

This was a book to make you look side eye at your pastor. This was so good that I could barely put it down. Pastor Andrew was a womanizing a$$hole and I'm glad he got what he deserved. I couldn't believe the first lady of the church could have such a secret as she did for those long tress and here I was thinking she didn't deserve to be treated like that but she has things in hand already. This was a great read overall I give this book two snaps and twist great job. One click worthy come see what the hype is all about.

This book....

That dang Drew, was nothing but the devil. He had women everywhere, I can't believe he did all of that for some money. I can't wait for part 2, so I can see what Constance has against Drew. Poor Little DJ his mama was straight crazy, I can't believe she did that to they poor baby. Jewel and Bryce are so good together and am glad they getting it together. Please let little Kammy be ok, Drew not wrap to tight. Overall I enjoyed this story and can't wait to start the next part.....

Well now. I absolutely loved this story. Drew was a hot mess and I am so glad in the end he got what was coming to him even if he did not pay attention to the warnings. I was hooked from the first page. I loved the drama and I fell over when it came the Kammy, I could not believe it. I love Avery the big sister and her friend James. It shows that young people can love God and do things the right way. Denora M. Boone is someone to watch out for. Her writing is so on point. I loved the emotion that was expressed and how faith was at the front of the line. Very good. Very good.

As sad as it is this is a true story somewhere in the world. Maybe not all of it, but a lot of it! I can't believe Drew. He is going to Hell in a hand basket. Funny thing is, the jokes on him!! Thank goodness for Bryce. I don't know what Jewel would do without him. This was honestly a short but action packed story from beginning to end. Beyond drama filled. #mustread

You reap what you sow

Lenora Boone did a wonderful job with this story. She kept it interesting as well as believable. It was well written book. This book was spellbinding and enjoyable. I never saw the ending coming. It was also a great lesson about greed and coveting something that isn't yours.

Happy Reading,

This was a very good book

Even though this book was a good book I think that the author could have ended a little better. She left to many questions unanswered

A very good read, the only issue that I had was that there were too many word spelling errors.

This book started off ok, but it went left field quickly. Way too much was going on and the storylines was all over the place. I lost interest midway through the book, but I did finish and it was a complete mess.

Great page turner

This book was a good read. Once I started reading the book, couldn't put it down. Read seventeen chapters in one sitting and finished the remaining chapters the following day. All the twists and turns are amazing! Lot of mistakes throughout the book such as misspelled words and grammar, but through it all I loved Jewel at the end. Drew was a no good player that needs to be alone. Whatever you do in the dark will come to light, Drew found out the hard way. Good for him. Hope the second book is as good as this one. Thank u Denora Boone.

This book was so good, I like the twist and turns it had. Note to author, please hurry I need to read part 2 . I have so many questions like what will Drew do with kammy now that he has her

Will someone ever find Jasmine and her son? Will Constance get what she wants or not? Will Bryce step up and become Pastor ? Will Avery be able to marry James or does Drew have some plans to stop it all?

A great book!!!!

I am a huge fan of Urban Christian and I was excited to read my first book by Denora. The plot of the story was amazing and each page kept me wanting more! To be honest, there are a lot of men in this world like Drew and it's a shame that some good women end up with bad men. But every woman deserves a great spirit like Bryce! Great write Denora and I look forward reading part two and the rest of your books!!!!

Too many angles

This book went in too many different directions. Seems as though the author made up details as the book was being written .
Book not well thought out However, the book was tied up nicely at the end. I would buy and read book 2, because book one ended with a cliffhanger.

Oh my goodness!

Twist and turns; ups and down overflow in this book! Yes, the story line is a bit crazy but in an awesome summertime reading during a road trip kind of way! Pastor Drew truly outdid himself by reaching an all time low at the end! Smh! I'm looking forward to reading the sequel!

The pastor's other women

I can appreciate the fact that it wasn't your typical book. the author didn't just give you all the goods of what can go down in the church . You got a glimpse of the things that goes down but get swept under the rug . From the first page the book pulled you in and kept you reading . Some parts were a lil predictable but the drama kept rolling .

Page turner

Wow! This book was a page Turner. It me thinking do preachers really see themselves as Drew did, sounded like his father the devil to me. That beat down had me laughing read that part twice. I know that he is still going to get though because of his mindset and the ending. Now ready for book 3; going in. Enjoy

Where's The Rest of the Story?

Can't stand the lack of closure. Also too sleezy to be true Christian fiction. Glad this was a download from my unlimited subscription. If I had paid for it, I would have felt totally ripped off'

Very Good Religious Book

I don't usually read books that mention God on about every page but it was exciting and full of surprises. I really enjoyed it and will recommend it to my religious friends. No sex and no cursing. Won't purchase book two.
