A great book that is hard to stop reading once you begin.
This book is filled with quick wit, funny stories, and a love story that is filled with passion The story between Max & Sophie is filled with excitement and unbridled ecstasy.
These type of novels are definitely not my cup of tea. HOWEVER, since the beginning, I was just damn hooked. Praises to the author for the alternating point of views used, that was definitely smart. It gave a glimpse on both Sofia and Max, making the story a lot better and captivating. It accentuated their characters, highlighting their inner goals in the novel. And I also kind of liked that because I am somehow able to put myself into Sofia's and Max's skins. One word that sums up the novel: PAGE-TURNER. The novel was simple, yet it digs deeper to you. The novel just pulls you to read more and more. There was a sense of suspense, sense of humor, and definitely a huge damn load of romance. Sofia and Max were different in perceptions, in flaws and strengths, and in motives. Yet every moment they meet, BOOM, they collide.
I'll be honest- at first i was worried about the CEO lead. But I am SO glad i jumped in anyway.
Lake brings a refreshing sexy spin to Max and Sofia along with their off the charts hot story.
A book that from a first chapter you won't be able to put down. Very sweet and honest issues incorporated but it definitely doesn't distract.
Dual Point of views add an element to the book without distracting from the other, giving the reader a real look into both Max and Sofia.
Ms. Lake brings clear talent through on her writing with qualities that alot of writers lack such as being able to captivate her reader earlier on and hold them there tightly throughout the pages. You'll find yourself cheering on these characters and wanting more.
I thought this was a hot sexy book with very good taste! it Drew me in til I wanted him to win at seducing her! I really like ,Ms. Lake's style of writing! I will be a fan for life now that I got a taste of her writing I will definitely be checking out all her books!!
Such a beautiful setting with a great story to back it up. It's a dream every girl has I reckon. I was not prepared for the ending at all, brought me to tears. Can't wait for book 2.
It was a little slow at first, but got better wish Sophie played harder to get but loved the characters. Was wishing at the end to find out just a little more about their life together. Wish Max was a darker character.
Oh-my-word. This book was awesome. The beginning was a bit slow, but it still held my attention. But when it picked up, let me tell upu (claps hand in passionate reviewing) IT PICKED UP!!! Sophia and Max were smexy...
I totally recommend it to anyone who likes that "hart to get" kind of book.
I really liked what I read, but I didn't get to read the rest of it before my free trial expire on kindle free download I was not happy about that. I was at the spot where the helicopter was landing when they we're on their first official date. I wish I would have got to finished it.
I enjoyed this book. I liked how the characters had real issues and that made them relatable. I wish this book took place over a larger amount of time because it wasn't enough time span because we never got to see how they would do in their every day normal lives.
I decided to try a new author and I was not disappointed. Max and Sofia are amazing and what they accomplish is amazing. I can not wait for book 2!!!!!
I thought it was awesome, I can't wait for book 2. Lindsay you did a great job writing the book. The book was one I just couldn't put it down. I read the book in 2 hours. WOW is all I can say.
Horrid story premise: What boss sends a terrible employee overseas for a seminar to become more confident? Local colleges have these courses. Also, the boss allows a friend to tag along???? Doesn't work
A thirty year old man doesn't get an erection across the room with a woman wearing a sexy dress, even if he met her earlier in the day wearing jeans. Egads! The attempt at the club to get her out of the dress was laughable and so were most of the sex scenes. I would like to never see the word "thrust" again when a man beds a woman. In fact, this book could be a drinking game. Every time the word thrust is mentioned... everyone needs to take a drink.
The concussion Sofia sustained didn't match that she was able to function completely the next day. That bad of a hit with the head to cause so much inappropriate suggestions to Max would be a direct cause of hideous headaches for days. Head trauma causes an individual to say wacky things that make no sense, not complete sentences. Research your
Men don't describe women down to their shoes and a red belt either. They notice racks, asses and curves followed with their beauty and or thoughts of what they would like to do to their mouths etc. etc.
Sophomoric personalities and characters lacking depth. I didn't like one character. None of them mattered including the antagonist of the story. The seminar itself didn't matter and Sofia able to introduce a musician on stage in front of a huge concert audience was stupid. In two weeks time Sofia was berating herself for not being confident in her job, getting fired by her boss for her ineptness or being naked having sex with Max. Oh then there was, her anger and disgust at Max for not mingling with the group attending the seminar and her absolute anger over hearing an incomplete conversation between Max and another man. Mad enough to avoid him for days.... but oh, they fell madly in love with each other. Two weeks people, two weeks... not plausible.
Lindsay needs to learn how to write foreplay scenes before she writes sex scenes and if the story is not going to ring true, then stick to writing vacations flings and hook ups with just sex on the fly.
