Boomer Steele is big. He’s bad. He’s the Retribution MC pres. He’s been dealt the worst hand imaginable and bears the scars inside and out. Not that anyone knows it. He’s watched his younger brother and sister hook up and hitch up with the loves of their lives, and now he’s the last Steele standing alone. Maybe he should keep it that way.
Then one feisty honey makes him feel, gets in his grill, pisses him off.
She goes by the name of Rayce. And that’s exactly what she does on her motocross bike when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty with her fellow grease monkeys as the only female mechanic at Stone’s Garage. She’s into fixing bikes, racing hers, and making Boomer’s life a living hell just for the fun of it. Oh, and she hates being treated like a girl.
Sparks flying? That’s an understatement where these two are concerned. Yet when Rayce needs a place to live, and Boomer offers her a room in his house, their unquenchable attraction wins out over antagonism. Sometimes. Rayce’s crappy upbringing makes her think love is for stupid fools asking for heartbreak. She’s not willing to go there for any man. Not even Boomer Steele.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

After reading Rie's books, I've been impatiently awaiting bad ass, tatted hottie Boomer's story. Ans walah! I got it. When I first read about Boomer and Rayce in Hunter (BBR#1), I was on the edge of my seat, thinking up scrumptious stories about these two. And let me say, Rie Warren did not disappoint.
Boomer Steele is the eldest of the Steele siblings and president of the Retribution MC. We have Boomer, Brodie (married to Ashe - police detective) and Catarina (the wild cat married to Nick Love - the writer). Boomer's is infatuated with Racy Rayce, a mechanic, with blue streaked pixie hair. What a combination; these siblings fall for their perfect opposites, while raising a little hell themselves.
Rayce and Boomer have been dancing around each other for the longest time. Boomer's been trying to get closer to Rayce while juggling all his responsibilities. Rayce on the other hand, has been trying to stay away. It doesn't mean she isn't into Boomer. She simply has a lot to hide. Her tiny statue is simply a disguise for her loud and sassy attitude. She's big at heart, and knows how to wheel a wrench, covered in greasy coveralls.
When Rayce begrudgingly allows Boomer to take her home one night, she can't help but attempt to hide her shame. She lives on the outskirts of town, in a rusty ratty old trailer with her alcoholic and abusive dad. Boomer is furious when he butts heads with Rayce's father. He can't help punch punch the sh**t out of him. He wants her out of that trailer and away from her neglectful and demeaning father.
As they continue getting acquainted with each other, Rayce's lack of self-esteem starts to surface. She challenges her self worth in the eyes of Boomer and what she would bring to their relationship with him. Nothing, as far as she knows. She came from nothing and has nothing to show, when looking at this MC prez, business and family man. Rayce can't help but feel worthless and starts to question her own life.
I loved the way Boomer's love and devotion shone through. He didn't care about the boundaries of Rayce's upbringing and her current status. He loved her for the woman she is - strong, independent, kind, caring and loving. Now it's up to Boomer to let his light shine on Racy Rayce.
Rie Warren made me fall in love with Boomer and Rayce with her powerful portrayal of unyielding love. Traversing social and financial barriers. These two fought hard, and they loved even harder.

Chrome: With A Heart Forged In Steele Rie Warren 5 stars
Lets just set it straight you all know I love the MC stories and I especially love the hard ass bad boys that fall even harder and love deep. Boomer Steele -- is one of those guys and he is also Retribution MC’s president. The dark runs deep in Boomer but no one would know that. He is guarded and he only shows strength behind his eyes. Showing anything less would leave the club vulnerable.
The club has just been threw hell with Hunter and JB. Things are back on track and the club is okay for now. His sister Cat is finally happier His brother Brodie deep in love with his woman Ashe who is finally getting back to herself. Life should be good for Boomer and maybe it is. Maybe being alone is his thing …. But if that’s so then why is the sassy girl named Rayce making him crazy? The woman that refused to leave the clubhouse when it was under fire, the woman that refused to leave her friend and follow his direct orders, the woman now sitting in his truck with him refusing his help demanding that she is fine when clearly she is not.
Rayce cant break down in front of Boomer. She is embarrassed enough at what he has seen. Her life isn’t a pretty picture to say the least. Her job at Stone’s Garage is the one thing she treasures along with her bike. Her family are those guys at Stone’s. They treat her like a sister and look after her. The last thing she needs is them knowing her secrets. Boomer should have never seen what he did and he certainly shouldn’t have done what he did when he came back for her. Love is a foolish emotion. Its not anything she is ever willing to feel; even for Boomer Steele. A man never keeps his word or stays "a good man."
This book is amazing. Rayce .. whew what a beautiful strong woman but one hiding her shame. This book deals with abuse so if that is a trigger for you please do not click. However this is one heck of a love story. I know I usually don’t give away that much and trust me its hell on the pages getting to that which makes this one a keeper. I love all the guys in this one and the banter between the MC family will bring a smile to your face.
We also find out that Rie is working on a book for Handsome and for Tail. Handsome already has a cover in the works! YES! If you have not read the Bad Boys Of Retribution MC series I highly recommend all of those books. They are FREE along with the Carolina Bad Boys series if you are a Kindle Unlimited member! BOOM! I am giddy that we are going to get more. I cant wait to hear where the guys are in the next release.
Thank you Rie for the ARC! You never let me down with your books. Keep them coming please! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
I've been waiting for Boomer's story and was ecstatic when I heard it was being released, I've loved this whole series and this one wasn't any different. The sex was hot, the dirty talk was downright filthy and Boomer's heart opens up in the most beautiful of ways. Keep in mind that it's best if you've already read the rest of the Carolina Bad Boys series AND the entire Retribution MC series before this one. The timelines cross over and you'll spoil some of the other books if you haven't read them yet.
Boomer is the president of the Retribution MC and over the past couple of years has watched those around him find their other halves, but he never thought it would happen for himself. He's holding on to unwarranted guilt from the past and uses hooking up with random women as a way to try and forget. Being the club prez means plenty of available "bed warmers" whenever he wants, but it hasn't worked; he still can't forget and he can't forgive himself.
Rayce is basically part of the MC family since she is part of their sister club, Redemption. I'm not sure what I missed or how I screwed it up but I was convinced she was into women before reading this book. I was fine with that, but definitely surprised to discover she liked men. She's a mechanic and a dirt bike racer who isn't a girly girl at all, but she's not gay...just a tomboy and low maintenance. Which is exactly what attracts Boomer to her. Although it's instant attraction on both sides, it's long slow burn before their fire fully ignites.
Boomer really steps up and becomes a man that any woman would be lucky to have. The type of past (and even her current life circumstances) and emotional baggage that Rayce has hidden from everyone close to her are not things many men would stick around and deal with. Boomer decides right up front that he wants to be the man who takes care of her, even though she doesn't think she needs to be taken care of.
This story has so many twists and turns while their relationship has just as many ups and downs. I'm not going to mention any of them because you really need to read this for yourself to get to know both Boomer and Rayce to see what incredible people they are on the inside. They both deserve to be taken care of and adored by someone who thinks the world revolves around them, and they eventually find that with each other. By the end of the book, their lives are completely changed by events that take place but they have each other and that's the only thing that matters in the end.
♦️BOOK: #4 in CAROLINA BAD BOYS series. Can be read as a standalone but much better as part of the series. Full length. Kindle loc: 5750
♦️SETTING: Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina
♦️POV: first person, HERO
♦️HERO: Boomer Steele, 31--Retribution MC President. Huge, broad, muscular, 6'5 with short dark hair, ice-blue eyes, tattoos and pierced naughty bits. Sweet, devoted, protective, good with kids.

♦️REVIEW: Love this series!!! So refreshing to read about a clean MC, not involved in drugs/illegal activities, no club whores & their drama. But we still get the big, sexy badass bikers with their muscles, tats & piercings and dirty mouths just without all the negative bs. Boomer. Big brother and guy with a heart of gold, even if you don't get to see it at first glance. He might look big and tough and totally unapproachable, but he is always there for his family and will do anything for them.
Rayce has been getting under his skin for months, but he's been patient waiting for the right moment and when it comes no one and nothing will stand in his way. He has a side to him that he's kept away from his siblings and she has a few secrets no one was supposed to find out.
Together they can heal each other, but only if they allow the other to be there for them. When craziness hits the fan they will have to be there for each other if they hope to make it through the tough times.
Overlapping with some of the other books in this series and others by the author you see allot of the characters you've come to love as they are getting their HEAs or on their way to getting them while seeing more of these two than ever before as their stories are finally told.
Loved the end to this series because I know we'll still be seeing all these great characters in the spin off series as more bad boys meet their downfalls!
Oh, Boomer. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways… Hot. Sexy. Strong. Hot. Commanding. Kind. Hot. Good with kids. Good at dancing. Hot. All-around badass. Oh, did I mention hot? Im’ma take a leaf out of Rayce’s book here—HATE. Except, clearly, I don't. This guy may be my new fave bad boy—and I've loved them all pretty fucking hard, so that's saying something.
With his brother and sister each living their own happily ever after, Boomer Steele’s been wondering if maybe it's his time. But maybe not…he's got scars inside, after all. It only takes is one girl—scratch that, one WOMAN—however, to taunt him, sass him, slay him, and he's thinking of keeping her.
But Rayce doesn't want to be kept. She's no girly girl, and love can only end in heartbreak—that's what her crappy life has taught her. She doesn't think she's good enough for big, bad Boomer, anyway, no matter how determined he is to prove her wrong.
When her life converges with his, though—and they're living under the same roof—well, it's only a matter of time before things go BOOM!
Chrome: With a Heart Forged in Steele covers a fair amount of time—and Rie Warren, that badass, sassafras author, does a good job of bridging it (and the other Carolina Bad Boys books) with this summer’s Bad Boys of Retribution MC series—even if I occasionally felt this one might have fit in better with the latter series. There’s a lot of internal thinking happening here, and less of the playful banter I love SO HARD from the previous CBB books (don't get me wrong, it's definitely there, and it's definitely awesome), and yet, this book was a true delight to read. I just loved being in Boomer’s head, seeing him grapple with his attraction to, desire for, need to protect Racy Rayce. It was delightful, it was fun and holy hell in a handbasket, it was dirty, sexy, kinky HOT.
Chrome was deeper too. (Ha! And I don't just mean during those aforementioned dirty times…) It touched on a tricky subject, and not everyone reacted the right way all the time, but they reacted in real ways, and that's what matters. Rayce was…human. Strong, but also very vulnerable and it was beautiful to see her open up to Boomer. Her situation was…bad. Wrong, but handled in a respectful way; showing that, despite what you see, unless you're willing to look deeper, you'll never really know what someone is truly feeling, thinking, living.
It's great to be back with Ms. Warren’s Bad Boys (of all persuasions). It was rewarding, enjoyable and special to get to spend some more time with the boys and girls that we've loved in the past—there's some hella good moments when the crew are all together, just being their badass selves—just as it was awesome to hang out with Boomer. Sexy, hot, kind, good with kids, protective Boomer. Hate. Not. ~ Beth, 4.5 stars

Step aside everyone, I have a new book boyfriend. He’s big, tall, sexy-as-sin, tatted-up biker heaven and even has a furbaby. Boomer Steele, you’ve stolen my heart with your wit, your love of friends and family, and just by being an all-around sexy, swoony, wonderful human being.
Boomer has been taking care of everyone in his life, from his brother and sister after their parent’s untimely deaths, to the members of the Retribution MC. He’s pretty much selfless, until he meets Rayce and decides it’s a damn fine time to be selfish and put himself first, because he wants Rayce in a big way. But she’s not going to make it easy for him. No how. No way. Boomer’s going to have to work at it—work at winning Rayce’s trust and her heart.
Rayce is a gorgeous, grease monkey who moonlights as a motocross racer. She’s a member of Josh Stone’s crew at Stone’s garage and certainly can hang with the boys. Sure, Rayce is one tough cookie on the outside, but her center is warm and gooey, especially where Boomer’s concerned. But with her past inhibiting her future, Rayce needs to find out if Boomer really is the man of her dreams or if the nightmare life she’s been living is her destiny.
Sigh. I loved Boomer and Rayce, both together, when their banter and sparks led to their unbelievably hot, sexy times, and separately. They come across as real; they’re vulnerable, tough, snarky, sexy, funny and introspective. They’re magic together both vertical and horizontal. Because when I say hot sexy times, I mean “melt the sheets, panties are a waste of time, where’s my husband” sexy times.
I love how Rie bridged the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series with Chrome: With a Heart Forged in Steele and how we got pieces of Josh and LeeLee and their babies, Nick, Brodie, Ashe and Cat.
Handsome’s book is next. I. Can’t. Wait. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars
This is the fourth book in the Carolina Bad Boys series, and probably best enjoyed if read in sequence, though it is not required.
Boomer has crushed on Rayce for a good long time. He's seen his sister and brother settle down with lovers and he's lonely in his big empty home. Boomer witnessed the fear in Rayce's eyes and her embarrassment over the ramshackle trailer she shares with her father. A father who's drunk more nights than not, and also has a right nasty mouth on him.
Rayce seems to want to be with Boomer, but she's reluctant to let any one help her out. She works hard at Stone's garage and is fearless on the racetrack, so why is she holding back against his sure love? When Rayce pulls a disappearing act, Boomer goes to find her--and finds his worst fears confirmed. It's not a pretty home life, that's for sure. So Boomer does what he does best, takes care of Rayce. Moves her into his empty home and treats her with care and respect. They're roommates, without the sexy benefits. That's what Rayce needs, to prove that she and Boomer can co-exist and she isn't bartering her body for a place to live. Truth is, that scenario has happened before and it might happen again, if Rayce isn't careful. Her filthy "father" has a whole new set of humiliations in store for Rayce, and Boomer's the muscle that lifts her out of the darkness and the rock she needs to stand on.
I was glad to see Boomer get his happy ending. He's such a caretaker, and deserves to have a partner who loves him with her whole heart. Rayce is a good woman in a bad situation, used and abused by the one man she believed should love her. It's not as gory as some of the Retribution stories, or even Brodie STEELE's book, but it does involve verbal, emotional, and even physical abuse of a woman--though some of this is off the page. It's clear that Rayce's father has no love for her, and the reason was plain to me early on. That said, I liked how this one was all tied up. It's not a sunshine and roses upbeat story, but there's a lot of love and a definite HEA. Also, it's a dirty dirty read when the sexytimes get going.
Holy hotness. I absolutely fell head over heart for Boomer. He is just delicious. Strong, sexy, and mixed with a bit of sweet. He is still reeling from the loss of his parents and what he believes is his part in their deaths. He also had quite the crush on Rayce who I loved as much. She is also strong and sassy and my heart broke for all she suffered at her father's hands. Boomer and Rayce are definitely attracted to each other, but do dance around making a commitment to each other for way too long. I wanted to give them both a good shake for that part. But when they finally do take that chance, they are scorching hot together. I absolutely loved their story.
I enjoyed the story itself but couldn't deal with anything else. Lots of focus on how big he was. Got really annoying. Anything sexual read like tacky smut.
I’m sure I’m not the only to be jumping up and down screaming that Boomer finally gets his own book with Chrome: With a Heart Forged in Steele. MmmHmm! I knew there was a sexy beast underneath that Prez’s patch but who knew there was a wounded heart as well. After reading Brodie and Ashe’s stories I would have thought I knew all the stats behind their parents death. Apparently, I was missing one more piece to the puzzle. Boomer’s piece. It’s been quite the heavy load he had been carrying and it took Rayce's love to finally forgive himself.
Speaking of Rayce... When she was first introduced in the series I originally thought biker skank and immediately put her out of my mind. I am now eating those words. There is depth and passion to her character. And a very sad side that she hides from the world. However, leave it to Boomer (who turns out to have quite the heart of gold) to find out about it and man was he PISSED! I was cheering him on when he took matter into his own hands. Okay no more details other than to say Boomer was exactly want Rayce need to get her self-worth back.
Altogether there is a good feel to this book. Both Boomer and Rayce, while having very different upbringings, are very similar. Both have internal pain that they try to hide from the world while showing all their toughness that we come to find is bravado. They help each other find a way to heal together and piece their hearts together. That is of course on top of all the sex and heat they put out. Lordy let me tell you, that heat is something else. Bow-chica-wow-wow hotness galore! Add to the heal and sex is a returning cast of characters from previous books. Not just drive-bys but active participates that tie all the series together quite nicely. Is there a happy ending? Of course, but how they get there is well worth the discovery.
Unfortunately, I do have a teensy bone to pick. I’m not sure how to say this without it coming out all wrong so bear with me as I try to make sense of it all. I’ve read everything Ms. Warren has written, which means I have read both her Carolina Bad Boys series as well as Bad Boys of Retribution MC. The CCB, while has the same characters as BBoRMC, has a slight different vibe to it. That’s not saying it’s a bad thing, to be exact they complement each other very well. But to me the CCB has a less biker/MC feel to it. If you have read Stone or Love, which does have bikes to a certain degree, does not revolve around bikers and MCs. If you read either book you would understand what I mean. BBoRMC is definitely very much revolves around bikers/MC. With all the bikes and MC action, IMO, it felt like Chrome would have been a better fit in the BBoRMC series.
As I mentioned before, I’ve read all of Rie Warren’s books. Never have I been disappointed. She has a way of writing first person POVs that really makes you feel like you are in that person’s head. I’m not a big fan of blood and guts in stereotypical MC stories so her books really fit the bill for me when I want a bad boy book. In as much, Chrome works out great as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading all her books so you can fall in love with all her characters just as much as I have.
I received this book from the JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated. Stars – 4.5, Flames – 4
Rie Warren is one of my favorite authors. Each one of the characters in her series has a unique story to tell. Their stories are enticing, emotional and always hold my interest so not surprisingly I have been waiting to get my hands on Boomer Steele’s story since we first met him in Love in the Fast Lane. And holy cow was it worth the wait. The story is told in Boomer’s POV and let me tell you, this man’s thoughts, actions and heart is so intense. True to form with Ms. Warren, when we get all the Stones, Retribution MC and Steele family together, things get wild.
Boomer Steele is the eldest of the Steele siblings, he is also the President of the Retribution MC. Boomer is a huge man, he has tattoos and one of the hottest and filthiest mouth I’ve read about. He’s a biker through and through. Boomer has had his fair share of women, and women seem to fall for him at every turn. Boomer is ok with being the only Steele who has not bit the love dust yet. That is until he sees Racy, bent over the hood of a car and covered in grease.
Rayce is a great heroine. She is a mechanic at Stone Garage, petite and has blue-streaked pixie hair. But don’t let her small frame fool you, she is fierce, feisty and full of sass. All of the men in the garage respect her and value her skills. Naturally being around these alpha men all day has them wanted to protect her because they think of her as a sister.
Boomer’s POV was so thrilling and different to hear. I loved reading his thoughts and seeing his steamy dreams regarding Rayce. Boomer has had a rough time in life, he wears the scars to prove it. He has so many responsibilities and you get a real sense of the weight it has on him.
Boomer has wanted Rayce before, but his possessive streak kicks in and he is determined to protect and cherish her. Rayce is hiding a painful secret and past, one that causes her to not fully commit and open her heart to Boomer. It’s not always smooth sailing for them but I really loved them together. It’s so worth the read and I can’t wait to see what else this author will bring to us in the future.
How much can a man take from the woman he loves before he says no more?H ow much can a woman hide from the man she loves before she ruins everything that is right in her world?
In this book you shall find the answer to this questions. Boomer is the prez of the Retribution MC and he has had his eye on Rayce, mainly due to her sassy self and no hold barred attitude. He knows he will finally get her, but for how long is the question. Rayce is a woman troubled by her past, and for the first time she finds herself wanting a man more than her next meal, but knows that with her past she will never be a lady a man will keep for long.
For now she is just going to really enjoy the tall drink of water known as Boomer. The story of the road to love for these two was enthralling and heartbreaking at times. I found myself more times than not thinking, I bet I know what happened, I bet I know what she is hiding, only to find out that I was only correct when it came to a few things, guessing the wrong things on a lot of occasions. Boomer was the perfect alpha male that showed nothing but patience and understanding when it came to Rayce. At times you knew he was dying from not being able to fix things, but he kept it together and was always ready to be her support system. I really loved this book and it was fast paced enough to have me turning the pages faster and faster to see what was going to happen next. Getting some of the other characters in this series thrown in made it that much more interesting. The natural flow of events, the shenanigans that characters get in to, the drama that unfolds, and a live match for the ages made this a kickass new addition to this author's work
I've read all of the Carolina Bad Boys books and the spin off series of Retribution MC and I have been impatiently waiting for Boomers story since getting snippets of him throughout the other books, and I'm so glad to say that I wasn't disappointed! Josh has been my favourite (Stone: At your service) but I think Boomer has taken his place *sigh* (spoilers) This is an amazing book and one heck of a love story, which I must admit had a couple of surprises for me, I kept thinking I knew what was coming and I was wrong, the story was no way predictable and I loved that. Racey was perfect for Boomer...such a strong/brave incredible women who had such a heartbreaking secret and Boomers reaction to that was incredible heart-warming. Loved that the story was told from Boomers POV. Boomer has a heart of gold that makes you fall in love with him instantly! He is such a protector and caretaker of those he considers family. He is such a hot, pierced, tattooed sexy MC Prez and when they got to the sexy times it was hard to put down. I could go on all day bout how much I love Boomer and how wonderful i think he is but i'll stop there. This is my favourite Rie Warren book to date and I really look forward to the next in this series. Recommend you pick this one up today!
“At least I hadn’t started talking to the cat. Much.”
“Brodie might’ve mentioned I looked like I had a TV antenna wedged up my ass but I wasn’t getting any channels.”
“I think you stunned me stupid.”
“Guess it’s about time a good woman put a leash, or a ring, on you.”
My Review:
I finished reading Rie Warren’s Chrome 2 days ago, and I don’t think I have actually caught my breath yet. I do believe it is her best work yet. Oh my, my! So sweet - yet full of expletives and highly erotic! While the story had some rather tragic background elements that haunt the characters, the romance was dear and precious – which is not something I expect to find in a MC book, especially when the narrator is the President of the MC club and a big brooding alpha male. But I adored this couple, they were perfectly suited, well matched, and they not only saved but healed each other. The writing was well paced, highly amusing, and passionate and extremely steamy – and by that I mean planet Mars volcanically hot. I enjoyed the clever humor and witty banter as the characters teased and heckled each other, but the sweet and sensual love story took center stage – oh happy day!
~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~ I love this series and every book is just as good as the one before it. Boomer is the head of the MC and Rayce is a feisty motocross racer. These two are so hot together. You can feel their chemistry and every emotion they go through. I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered and wished the book was longer. Rayce has a crappy home life and Boomer wants to help her and take her away from it all. They start off platonic but the chemistry is off the charts and that doesn’t last long. We even get to see several characters from previous books. There is a little angst but not too much, it was just a great book and I can’t wait for the next one. Characters: well written and believable Sex: oh yeah! Religious: no Would I recommend to others: yes More than one book in the series: yes Genre: Romance Would I read more by this author: yes ~Wicked Reads Review Team~

This has been my favorite book of the series so far! Boomer is the president of Retribution MC and throughout the years he’s watched his brother’s fall in love but never believed it would happen for him. He’s holding onto guilt from his past and uses random hookups as an attempt to wash away this guilt to no avail. Enter Rayce, she’s part of the Redemption MC, a sister club to Retribution. Rayce races dirt bikes and is a mechanic, obviously making her a bit of a tomboy which is where the attraction for Boomer begins. She’s also a bit wild with blue hair, a smart mouth, and a sassy attitude. She’s highly respected by the men in her MC and this equals a heavy amount of protection for Boomer to deal with.
I really enjoyed their tale, both Rayce and Boomer are dealing with tough situations/secrets from their past making it difficult to commit to a relationship. I loved Rayce, she is a great heroine with a fantastic sense of humor, I caught myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions while reading. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next with this.

Boomer Steele is the president of Retribution MC, even though other than party and riding in formation their aren't many MC things happening in this one, it's more about his working at Chrome and Steele. Boomer sets his sights on Rayce. She's tough and feisty but under all of that she's a broken woman. Will she let Boomer in enough to help fix her?
I am so happy this series continues. I am loving the characters and the depth that has been created with them. The combination of characters from Retribution MC and Carolina Bad Boys is a wonderful thing. I like the overlap with Hunter's book. I love seeing the proposal wedding from a different POV. This is one of those series you can never tire of given all the different aspects it's not just the MC life, there is so much more. Can't wait for the next one.

Although this is one of a very good series, it is definitely possible to read it as a stand alone - you will miss some references, but it will not detract from the story.
I am a fan of MC books, even if sometimes I think they reinforce too many stereotypes - no danger of that here - with Rayce hiding herself in the garage along with the boys and covering up her private life and insecurities as best she can. Boomer and she may have been dancing around each other for a while, but she fears she is not good enough. As things unfold - in the hottest of ways - these two manage to forge a way through the past and into a much brighter future. Ms Warren takes control of the reader's emotions, ensuring an intensely emotional ride, and the need for a box of tissues!
Once Boomer Steele set his eyes on Rayce he knew his single days were over. Problem was Rayce was not interested, or so it would seem. Boomer bided his time with her flirtations and the chemistry continued to sizzle. Once he realized that he was going to have to be patient and prove to Rayce he wasn't going anywhere, everything began to come together. Rayce has a past that Boomer couldn't even begin to understand, but he plans to but Rayce is gun shy, can he break past those walls?
This was pretty good but I think it would have benefited me to read in order. Definitely a stand alone but there are so many other characters involved I wanted to know more about the evolution of the MC. The MC was more laid back than most biker stories I have read. I would go back and start from the beginning to fully get a good grasp on the club and it's members.
Rie Warren has done it with her Carolina Bad Boys once again, Boomer Steele is big, bad and loyal to a fault. He loves her, but he's hesitant, he carries around a guilt that would cripple a lesser man, but more than that, he wants to protect her from the awful hand that comes in the form of family.
I'm not sure how you can read these books and not fall in love. Boomer and Rayce are perfect together, "old man and princess" gotta love that...they're funny and flirty but come together and help each other heal. I really enjoyed how the author remained true to their character personalities...feisty girl gets knocked down, regroups, learns to love and forges ahead...big bad guy wants to love, protect and give her everything but won't allow himself to be used as a doormat.
Thanks Wicked Reads for a copy to read and review.
Great MC series! Rayce and Boomer are panty combustible together. This is one of those books that start off with two characters with off the chart chemistry .....and you know this is going to get good just by how they interact with each other. Rayce puts up a good wall between her and Boomer, she doesn't want to let him in but he is so charming and never lets up. I really enjoyed the banter between them and the erotic scenes. Very little drama in this book and I really enjoyed it. Four stars!
Loved Chrome!! Boomer is All Alpha but has a huge heart!! Rayce is a tough girl who has had an awful childhood and young adult life. Her and Boomer are perfect for eachother! Loved the hot love scenes and the emotional parts as well. I laughed cried and smiled though out this story!! Rie Warren did it again it's an amazing story
Chrome, like Steele, is more about the MC, so if you are a fan you'll love this one too. Prez, Boomer, has been laughing at all the guys finding one woman. Enter Rayce. The mechanic-wench, woman's MC member, bike riding/racing gorgeous tiny woman he couldn't resist. However, she was doing a good job of resisting him. They reached the banter stage with her giving at least as good as she got. After too long he couldn't sit back and watch the guys watching her. He needed to stake a claim. She wasn't having any of it.
He couldn't understand why. Never had problems getting women. Taking her to the place she called home after a dangerous situation at the club answered some of those questions. Meeting her dad answered more. The drunk yelled, berated Rayce earning a smashed door and one big bad biker in his face. He left her this time but no more. He couldn't understand the sassy woman who stood up to him taking that from this waste of air man.
He took it slow, determined to win her. For keeps. The progress they made took time. She still dealt with her father and Boomer hated it. After more scenes with the man threatening and berating her, he asked her to distance herself from her father. When she refused he had no choice but to tell her he couldn't be with her and not intervene.
What would it take to get them back together? Could they have a life? The path isn't easy or pretty. It is hard with hidden, dark secrets that threaten their sanity.
There is hot, steamy chemistry, visits with old friends, strong characters, some melting your heart times that show the real hearts and loyalty of these people. A series with strong characters and different lives all with one goal. A strong recommendation from me. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls Ho seguito questa serie con entusiasmo dal primo libro, spin off compresi.
Yes, Yes, Yes, now has Boomer his book !! Chrome: With a Heart Forged in Steele by Rie Warren is the fourth book in the Carolina Bad Boys Series. Every book is about another couple and can easily be read as a standalone. Boomer - Harold - Steele is the brother of Cat and Brodie, co-owner of Chrome and Steele and President of the Retribution MC. He´s a s big as he´s bad, and I waited to get my hands on his story. Rayce - Phoebe - Lafayette is the only female mechanic at Stone Auto Service. But she has a hard life. Her father is a abusive mean alcoholic and she´s all alone. Boomer is much older than her, but can´t let her out of his sights. And another alpha male bites the dust. Yay !! Chrome is m,y favorite read in the series. I love the story very much. The characters are great and the writing is excellent. I give 5 stars and can´t wait to read the next book in the series. I give 5 stars. Thank you, Rie Warren.
Boomer has been looking after his family, younger siblings and close friends for a long time, unfortunately their parents passed away when they were young, and being the eldest he took on the job willingly. His life pretty much revolves around their wellbeing until he meets Rayce and he wants her bad, he figures it's time to think of himself and his own needs. Rayce is a feisty beauty who's passion is on the back of her motocross racer, she also works in the Stone's garage. She's a tough gal, can Boomer reach the sexy women he knows she is. Rayce has hidden issue though, can she trust him, or is she in for more hell. I loved both Boomer and Rayce, they both had a past and needed someone. The sniping and banter led to hot times and ultimately a closeness they both needed. An enjoyable addition to the series, I'm now looking forward to Rush.
This book is not for the faint at heart. These two characters have lived such hell of earth. Boomers parents died, his sister went to rehab and he held himself together the best he could. Not the most glorious life. Rayce, on the other hand, was worse off. Her dad ruined her and she thought she was no good for anybody. Her life was horrible. Once Boomer set his mind to her, that was all it took. He was a goner and she fought like hell to make him see she was no good. The truth, however, will always set you free. When the truth finally emerges, things take an interesting turn. Boomer and Rayce, set things right in more ways than one. This book deserves so much more than a 5-star rating. Such an awesome storyline for the very beginning.
