Cheers to the indisputable human skills of the author, so much wisdom and practical relationship advice on identifying 5 languages of love. It's especially so for a geek like myself who reads mostly tech and science books. It changed my many views about how to interact with others after this and definitely developed my ability empathize the other side, wish I had read this younger and earlier.

Very unique idea on what happens after that "in love euphoria" and why some couples feel that their love went away. Dr. Chapman's theory is everyone has an "emotional love tank" and each person has a way in which they determine another person loves them by: whether it be by physical touch, receiving gifts, words of affirmation, quality time, or acts of service. From there he explains why if the partner you are with doesn't show you love from your "language" then you feel unloved and that emotional tank starts to empty...so on and so forth. it was a short read but I recommend this to everyone who is in a relationship not just married couples!

This book has changed the way I think when it comes to Love literacy. Knowing and understanding my wife's Love Language has been a tough and rewarding. This was well written for any men to understand and definitely worth the read.

An invaluable read for understanding yourself and your partner and realising that you do think about and value acts of love differently. It helped me to understand why what my husband does comes from a place of deep love and also ignorance of my own values.

This book was a real game changer for me. I'm fascinated with human behavior, and what makes people tick. When you read this book, I guarantee it will improve your interactions tenfold, as well as give you a healthy understanding of yourself and what you need from others.

You have to get past the age of the book (references to 1970's husband/ wife roles) and religion references if you are not religious but there is some really good relationship help contained in the book. Well worth reading!
