F*CK MARRIAGE. I didn’t know the meaning of tied down, unless it involved a hot chick lashed to a bedpost under me. Live hard. F*ck harder. That's how I liked it. Until Beatrice. She was an olive branch from the Motorcycle Club, the club's own daughter, a peace offering. She's everything I hate. Everything I've resisted. Everything I suddenly want to claim, starting with those curves driving me crazy. And now I’ve knocked her up. The MC wants her back, but I'm not in a giving mood. She's mine and I’m never letting her go. A fight’s headed my way, but I’m ready. She’s my woman, my wife, my property. I'll kill anybody who tries to take her - or my kid - away.

I was some what disappointed with this read. For the most part I felt like I was caught in the middle of a cheesy porno flick!! LOL I wish I was exaggerating; but I am not!! If I hear the "C#*t" word one more time I will scream. I love a dirty talking hero; but Jack takes his dirty talking to a whole other level, and it can only be define as crude at times.
I had high hopes for this book as I thought it might be interesting to have not only a mafia story but also a fighter one too. Kind of like a "two for one" kind of deal. But, it just didn't work out that way. I mean it wasn't terrible; but it certainly didn't wow me either.
I know Vanessa Waltz has written other mafia books, and I will for sure give at least one more a try. My fingers are crossed that maybe a different story, with different characters is something that I will enjoy way more!
Property of the Bad Boy might seems like just another mafia book, but I found it refreshing that this story didn't always conformed to my preconceived notion of such similar theme book. Vanessa managed to create some uniquely flawed characters that drew me in and have a few surprises up her sleeves.
Jack is one of the member of the Cravotto crime family. The story started with him full of rage, being angry of his brother's murder. He is all alone in this and suspected everyone around him. There are some conflict between the Italians and the MC gang that seems to be a carryover plot from the previous books. I'm not sure how much of Jack was featured there, I just try to enjoy this as a standalone.
In order to form an alliance, Jack was forced by his boss, Johnny, to marry a biker chick from their nemesis. He might despise everything about the sham, but he can't deny that he will enjoy every minute of fucking Beatrice.
"I'll hate you, but I'll love fucking you"
The romance is not the typical flower and roses or the usual hate/lust that I'd read before. In the beginning, I feel that Jack really just treated her like a piece of ass. Some of his action might not make you feel all googly eyes to him. But damn.... I can't deny that his forceful ways are freaking hot. It was really no-hold-barred and I'm-not-a-gentleman kind of sex.
Beatrice is one of the black sheep of the MC family. The arranged marriage might scare her, but she was even more scared of her future in the MC. She might not be able to marry for love, but at least Jack seems to like her body, so she manage to deal with it. I didn't have much to talk about Beatrice, but I think she was a pretty decent heroine, the kind of girl who always stand by her husband.
They used to just enjoy the fucking, but slowly we see how they shift from being miserable to caring for one another. I like that they both didn't act like those cookie cutter characters in other mafia story. They are flawed and unique in their own way. There is such raw honesty between them.
Meanwhile, Jack is flying off the handle at every chance that provoke him. He is all kind of violent and a scary gangbanger. The politics in the family is in chaos and he is adamant to find out who killed his brother.
I love the little twist that Vanessa thrown in towards the end and throughout the read I had no idea how it will ends for Jack. I feel so much for him and just wish he can be happy and have his peace with his brother.
Overall, I liking this one. It make me want to read Johnny and Maya's story and maybe get a little of Jack in there. The ending pretty much wrapped up everything neatly. I wonder is there any more books in the series. Definitely gonna find out from the author later.
"Make me marry your biker bitch? Fine, but I'm not giving her back."
I'm not sure why I tried a third time with this series. Maybe it was a couple of friends reviews? But never again! Shame on me for a third read.
Jack is one jackass. He's wretched and he treats his wife like garbage then out of no where he says he loves her? He's reckless and an alcoholic and a sex fiend.
As for Beatrice, she's too stupid to like. I didn't like her one bit - she lets herself be used as Jack's sex toy and let's him talk and treat her like crap. Where was a backbone in her body? Where was her "protective" father? And really it was garbage that she wants a drunken, a-hole, crazy husband to get her pregnant. No. Just hell to the no.
For the most part, I found this highly enjoyable. I really liked Jack and he even gave my favorite book boyfriend of all time a run for his money for a while. (btw, for anyone that doesn't know, my favorite bbf is Nero)
The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars was an over the top balcony scene in Vegas and the bait and switch with the bad guys. Even though I caught on and figured it out, I did fall for it and I felt kind of cheated that the guy I hated for 90% of the book wasn't going to die like I wanted (and I hold grudges like that).
So, yes, this was good. Will I read the previous books in the series...probably not. I just wasn't invested in those particular characters (grudge) to want to go back and experience their stories. Will I check out future books...sure.
What did I just read? and more importantly why did I waste my time and finish reading this book? Oh right, because I kept waiting for the good reviews to be justified, sadly they weren't. Jack was a jerk and Beatrice was an idiot. They were perfect for each other. Waste of time
Tits. Cock. Fuck. Pussy. Dick.... yeah... I am good. I don't like reading things with possession and pretty much sexual assault that is tried to be made sexy. Not my flavor. Thanks anyway
I love this whole Bad Boy/Mafia series from Vanessa Waltz! The guys are Alpha to the extreme, always start out as hard drinking hard screwing manwhores who are brought to their knees by a good woman.
This one is no exception to that rule. Jack is arrogant and a real jack ass. Beatrice is one of the daughters from the MC that the mob is having problems with and Jack is forced to marry. But they have a meeting in an unconventional way and that helps to make up Jack's decision regarding his marital status.
As in every one of the books from this series, Jack is a dirty, filthy talker and orders Beatrice around-both in and out of the bedroom. I'm not sure why I like these characters so much0in real life I would have to throat punch them -but in my safe little Kindle world, they are appealing.
There's lots of mob drama and killings and far fetched as it can get things-but I still turned page after page so I can get to their HEA and the epilogue. This series always has great epilogues. In real life would these mobsters have such charmed lives-hell no, but that's why I read, to escape.
The storyline was great. He was an unapologetic ass, but the ending kinda fizzled out for me.
**My second read and I still think the same as above, but instead of 4 stars I'm bringing down to 3. It was too much of an ass and they didn't seem to know each other enough for him to have the 180 turn from hating her to loving her.
I received an ARC from Vanessa Waltz in exchange for an honest review & without doubt Property of a Bad Boy is a winner. Its book 3 in the Cravotta Crime Family series but for me, it was a standalone book & it didn't seem like I had missed any previous events. Jack is a Mafia man whore who's life is upside down not only because of the murder of his brother but because he also has to marry a biker-chick to keep out of jail & cement an alliance between his mob & her MC. Complicated? Sure is & he hates Beatrice on principle because of what she represents. Jack & Beatrice marry & Jack can't keep his hands off her. She is a tiny, not so innocent blonde who craves his attention & the sex is flaming fierce. Love & life spin out of control when both sides want to end the the uneasy alliance & the couple are caught in the mayhem. This book was so good, I have to go back & read the two earlier books in the series. Do read Property of the Bad Boy, you won't be disappointed.
This story was just ok, I wasn't completely in love with the characters and/or the storyline. Just my own personal opinion but I still do enjoy Vanessa Waltz as an author and sometimes a story just may not hit home with me such as this one but doesn't mean I won't read more by her in the future:)
Wow, this author’s alpha men are all beyond hot and intense, but Jack was so fueled by anger and revenge he was on an entirely different plane! In an attempt to bring stability to the feud between the families, Jack marries Beatrice but refuses to let his guard down for a second. Their relationship grows so beautifully, it almost brought me to tears. A great story, memorable characters, a believable HEA. Everything a great mafia romance should be.
This story very unexpectedly popped up on my Kindle as an ARC from Vanessa Waltz. I was downright giddy since I didn't know it was coming and didn't expect her to offer complimentary copies for review after the last time a stupidhead pirated the book on the internet. So thank you for the opportunity!
The characters in this book are extreme - particularly the men. They're 200% alpha, they're young knee-jerk hotheads, and many of them seem to be dipping into the same defective condom box This mafia-centric with a little mc thrown in there world has been building the last two books. Although we don't see Elena/Tony from book 1, we do see Johnny and Maya. Beatrice (Maya's cousin) is the heroine and I wasn't sure if I'd like her as a lead. If I remember right, she was very loyal to the MC and I kept feeling like she'd betray Maya at any moment in book 2. I absolutely loved her in this book. She still is loyal to her family within the MC, but she knows the business side of the club itself are not exactly ideal these days. She had such an innocent and earnestness that made me really like her. I wish we had seen a little more of her parents because they seem to be the rare exception in the club as loving and protective parents.
Jack. Um, well, you can't say he's anything but alpha. He's troubled and he has a whole lot of testosterone. In fact, to say he and Beatrice have chemistry would be an understatement. There is a plethora of sexy time. I mean a whole lot of sexy time. If I didn't get it across... they have sexual intercourse very very many many times. I will say I'm not a fan of the repeated use of b*tch or c@nt or slut from the hero to the heroine. It had its place in many scenes to make a point, but I didn't want to read Jack continuing with it after their relationship developed. On the other hand, him being a dirty talker was very clear. It definitely fired up Beatrice's engines.
One of the things I like most about this series is seeing previous characters (beyond the heros/heroines) and where they are now as well as the overall storyline of the Cravotta family. The series has been formulaic (bad ass boy has hot sex with unknown girl, finds out she's from the enemy's camp, there's a pregnancy and/or has to marry her.) It totally works for me and Ms. Waltz does it well! The plot of the book (beyond the main character's relationship) had me riveted and I read this in one sitting trying to figure out the twist you knew was coming. I can see how the impact of all that happens in this will be continued in future books.
I had mixed feelings about this one. The sex was Whoa boy howdy, that's hawt with a bit of kink involved, but enthusiastic participation from both MCs. The storyline and characters...? That's kind of where the book lost me. For one thing, it should be noted that I am not a big fan of mafia romances and this was definitely that. As for characters, Jack was a bit too caught up in his own drama for way too much of the book. It was established early on that he was likely an alcoholic, but the book never addressed it, and while I got his rage and anger, I prefer my MMCs to think through their actions and look at the facts a little better than he did. It seemed painfully obvious to me what was going on less than halfway through the book and I kept waiting for Jack to have that A-ha! moment.
As for Beatrice, I did like her a bit more than Jack and she definitely annoyed me less since she wasn't going around willy-nilly threatening any dangerous person that crossed her path, but she came off as a bit needy and desperate in parts -- less of a person and more just a two-dimensional character whose only interests were hot-hot sex and babies. I would have liked some idea of what she did for fun, what her dreams were, other than presumably, to be a wife and mother (not that that's not a valid dream, but I didn't get the impression that was what she wanted until she met Jack). Jack at least came off as somewhat three-dimensional, with all his ragey-ragey-kill-kill issues, but I just didn't get that from Beatrice. In the end, both of them were hard to relate to for me.
This was a Kindle Unlimited so I got to read it for free. Personally, this one had some good points, but I don't see me ever buying it. However, I might check out one of the author's other books because hoooo boy some of those sex scenes were hot. (I'm not in a hurry to read Johnny and Maya's book since Romeo and Juliet stories don't "do it" for me, but I might check out the first book in the series, in spite of my reluctance to check out mafia romance.) Would I recommend this? Hmmm... Plot and character-wise, no, and those took up a good chunk of page time, but if you're looking for good book-smut, I'd suggest checking it out and skim over the plot. I will say that my issues did not extend to the author's writing -- for example, I didn't see a lot of typographical/grammatical/continuity errors, so the author was solid that way, and as I mentioned (with the possible exception of the lack of character development and the author did give that a good try), my issues with this one were mostly personal preference.
First off, this is the BEST creation by Vanessa Waltzes! Her writing captivated me from the beginning, neglecting my family during our weekend camping. I couldn’t put it down. Weaving & creating a story between the MC & Mob? Loved the interaction between the two different cultures. Love can change a person’s beliefs & way of living. Even if it’s forced. Jack is a hot headed lunatic, psychotic, doesn’t give a flying F**ck & just plain crazy, who also struggles daily from experiencing such a significant loss. Determination runs through his veins like hot lava. Revenge. Bound to find answers. One job. One job gone wrong, the consequences, and the resolution changes his life forever. A truce between the MC & Mob? It’s bound to become blood-shed. Forced into something to keep him free as a bird…. Die or marry a biker b**ch. This changes him. Emotionally, spiritually & mentally. He just didn’t know it at the time. Beatrice, grew up as a biker chick. Grew up in the MC. She’s shy, blushes profusely & has a wild side. Who knew? Certainly not Jack from their first meeting. It’s instant attraction. Followed by the raw, hot, dirty & passionate sex! A one time deal. Neither expecting what was right around the corner. Every sexual encounter is dominate, sexy, raw & real! Holy hot sex torpedoes (Fanning myself)!!!!! Every relationship faces issues with being accepted by ones family. My heart broke at times for Beatrice. Her heart was in the right place, just at the wrong time, possibly with the wrong man. A war is brewing. Rats are surfacing out of the woodwork. Friends become enemies. Trust. It’s not given freely or easily. Who’ll make it out of this war alive? This is one bad boy you need to get your hands on!!
“I still see the biker girl I was forced to marry. There’s still poison in my gut”. “The mob wouldn’t give a shit about the biker wife made from a sham marriage”.
I was graciously gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Dark mafia romance with loads of violence, dirty deeds and dirtier sex? You found it! This story is smoking from every angle. It has a suspenseful plot, an antihero consumed by hatred, and a strong, yet helpless bride that has no choice but marry him or end up dead. I was a bit taken aback by how poorly Jack treats Beatrice, but it's a very interesting story full of heat, hardened criminals and scorching hot sexy times. Be warned, though, nothing is pink and sweet here, it's all rock hard and sweaty. Like a modern, vicious Romeo and Juliette, the story has two contender parties, the mobsters and the MC. Jack is bent on revenge over his brother's death, but a police investigation has its noose on him. That's how he agrees to marry a girl from the MC bunch he hates. And oh, how harshly he acts with her, poor girl. She tries to be strong but it's so sad to see her treated that way. However, I couldn't stop reading as the emotions are so high, the tension is overpowering, and the narrative is inflamed with fury, lust and threat. It's really addictive to go through their battle of flesh and torn feelings while the vendetta surrounds them with secrets and danger. I started cheering when all the violence brewing inside Jack is directed to protecting his wife and then making her his. All that rage was magnificent, and I could relate to his grief for this brother. And brace yourself for those steamy scenes: they're plenty and too hot to handle... Nah, just the kind of sizzling hot to paint your face read all night long ;o) The frenzied finale will make your heart pound: conspiracies, bloody violence, flying bullets and crazy alliances, but above all the most action-filled, passionate, lust-dripping conclusion ever. This series is a knock out!
I thought this book was amazing it had everything I love it had a gorgeous messed up mafia man with a chip on his shoulder, and the only way to remove that chip is revenge on the people who took what matter most to him. And at first nothing and no one can help him until she comes into his life. When she first comes into his life. His not very pleasant to her but in the end of course with a lot of obstacles that they face they finally get there happy ending. That's what I love about Vanessa she always knows what characters to choose for her books to keep us wanting more and loving every chapter every time we read one of her books. If you haven't brought this book yet go buy it. Because once you start reading you won't be able to stop ☺
The third book in the Cravotta Crime Family series from Vanessa Waltz.
Property of the Bad Boy ~ Is about the hot man whore Jack who is a love 'erm and leave them type of guy. Until he is forced to marry Beatrice and his whole world is turn upside down.
The things he thought he knew and those he trusted will all fall apart, this book is full of twists and turns, contains the hot steamy chemistry that Vanessa delivers every time.
Although I really enjoyed book 3 it did not grab me like book 1 & 2 did.
This is the third book in the Cravotta Crime Family series. I love Vanessa's books she never disappoints & this book combines my two favorite things the Mafia & an MC. Beatrice is the daughter of an MC member & Maya's cousin. Jack works for Johnny Cravotta & has been angry ever since the MC beat up & paralyzed his brother who later died in the hospital. Jack thinks Johnny had him killed. Johnny is trying to mend relations with the MC & to help do that he wants Jack to marry Beatrice. This is a great series & while you can read each one as a standalone you should definitely read all of them !
So I just finished Property of a Bad Boy and I LOVED it! But I loved every one of her other Mafia books so this is no surprise! It's always bittersweet when books end. I loved getting to know more about Beatrice. I really like how she tied this book to the last Bad Boy one, that twist with at the end I never saw coming! If you love Vanessa Waltz' books you won't be disappointed!
"Property of Jack". Loved it. Beatrice didn't belong anywhere. She started to love Jack. Hoping he was starting to love her also. He is part of the mob she part of a biker clan they try to make a peace agreement by their marriage. Johnny was head honcho. Sal told him to do jobs. Lots of dirty sex scenes Lots of twists and turns He wanted to find out who killed his brother. I hate cliffhangers! #23 BNB Challenge
I read this one as the first of the series. And I liked it.
I agree with a lot of the less star reviews, Jack is an ass. Beatrice is an idiot. But it didn't bother me that much.
She wants and is offered an out of the MC world. Woman are second rate. Jack is a mafia soldier, seemingly hot -with a b.d.- but not 2 bright and on a revenge mission.
But she has key information for him and has to make sure he will stay and stand by her. She is his and that is enough for him.
