I didn't know this was a book 1 until I finished it. It's quick but very much a prequel that ended just as it started. Sweet for what it is but disappointed it wasn't the whole story I expected.

Didn't leave a mark

This is the story of Lisa. This is a straightforward story. Lisa hasn't dated anyone since her husband died. She never thought she would be attracted to anyone. Upon meeting Luke, a handsome pediatric ER doctor, there was an instant attraction. They had a good time going out and having incredible sex. But through all that time she still harbored feelings for her deceased husband. He keeps popping into her head, even though she never responded to him like she does with Luke. Now Lisa is conflicted in her emotions and wants to run.

There was not enough angst between the characters for me to move on with the story. I liked the interaction between them but I felt it read leading nowhere. I feel I didn't learn much about them. I didn't get the purpose of the title, so it didn't connect for me. I thought his cock was going to be pieced our something. I guess not. Still a good story though. It's just not enough to keep me entertained.

Luke & Lisa are very different but also just alike in many ways. Lisa has not dated since her husband died two years ago. Luke is a Doctor and HOT. They definitely have chemistry. The ending was very heartbreaking but had me craving more. Now off to read the complete series.
