It would be a good introduction to adult life in the U.S. for high-school students or young recent immigrants. Otherwise it's very basic well-known information and tips for working adults.
99% of the info was stuff I already knew. It is presented in an easy to digest format and the author breaks it down into nice short chapters that make reading fast and if it's new info to you - quick, basic steps to get you started on saving or adjusting your lifestyle. I disagree vehemently with the part about borrowing from or cashing out your 401k, but that's my personal opinion. Not a bad little book to check out, just not enough info for my benefit.
This is a quick read with some simple tips for saving money. There is also some foundational financial literacy content in the book too. Not too deep and not too light, it is just right.
A nice book, although a large chunk of information is only suitable for US readers. Otherwise, it's a quick rundown of things you already know if you've been into this 'frugal thing' for a while -- or things you should know even if you currently make a million a year.
Basic stuff, some neat ideas, can easily be used as a reference book.
This book is full of great and helpful ideas that I can't wait to try! I wish that their was an updated version, but I did find lots of helpful advice that would work in an year.
