I live in Northern Michigan with my husband and two beautiful kids. When I'm not busy refereeing between my 6 and 8 year old; I enjoy reading, writing, crocheting, and knitting. As a family we love being outside. Northern Michigan's four seasons provide the perfect setting for camping and exploring the outdoors. I write in the paranormal romance/suspense genre. I love a story with a strong female lead and her male counterpart. A 'big picture' element is critical. Something bigger than just the romance between two people such as; good vs. evil or saving an entire species from extinction. It adds great suspense in a story. Not to mention I love a strong heroine that takes on the world and kicks its a**.

When loving him is oh so right, but could go oh so wrong in heartbeat
This series centers around good and evil and the potential outing of paranormals and enslavement of humans by the mastermind villain. Of course, each book in the series has minor conflicts and villains to defeat along the way. You meet the "Immortal Savior," Liza in the first book, Vengeance and each subsequent book moves forward in her war against exposure and capture. However, each story is not all about Liza and her specific romance. Rather, each book centralizes on another couple in the group while at the same time keeping you abreast of Liza and her mate, Brax as the series arc progresses. Acceptance is about Liza's pack mate, Owen and her best friend Jo.
Although the blurb touts Owen as a light-hearted playboy, you don’t get too much of this side of him in the book. By the time Acceptance takes place, Owen has met Jo and he’s figured out she is his mate. So if you are thinking you are going to see a carefree love 'em and leave 'em guy, nothing could be further from the truth. When a wolf meets his mate, all bets are off on playing the field. Owen is a Layton police detective and former special ops medic. He’s also a very caring and protective guy. Awakening had just the right blend of story arcs that involved his detective and medic skills, protectiveness, and overall badass alphaness. He’s also a very determined wolf when it comes to claiming his mate… even if he shoots himself in the foot a few times along the way… well not literally, but you know the saying… “open mouth, insert foot.” It’s a good thing he isn’t above asking for help when it comes to convincing Jo they are meant to be.
Jo is Liza’s best friend and co-worker at the hospital. She’s fun loving and has a sarcastic streak a mile wide at times. Jo is also an empath. This is a great thing when working the ER for figuring out what’s up with a patient, especially those that can’t communicate. She is also prone to occasional visions. You might think these things might make a person pull away from society, but such is not the case with Jo. She meets life head on. Because of her own gifts, Jo is in the know when it comes to vampires, wolf shifters, phoenixes and the fae. Liza and the others all suspect she has a touch of immortal in her as well. Jo isn’t so accepting of that theory. Jo also has a dilemma, she’s falling fast for Owen. The only problem with that is nothing good ever happens with the men she gets involved with. Can you say looney tunes? Men have a habit of going off the rocker when she gets involved with them. So for all their sakes, Jo has decided it’s best to avoid falling for Owen.
The title for this book is so apropos on more than one front. It's not only about Liza accepting her role as the savior of Immortals and her gifts from the Goddess, Brigid, but it's also about Jo accepting her love for Owen, the revealing of her true origins and her own immortal status as a half fae. There are conflicts on the series level, a mad stalker on the book storyline level, personal conflicts affecting the relationship and plenty of hot against the walls... or trees... ahem.. yeah great sex scenes. So if you like werewolves, vampires, phoenixes, and the fae you are sure to love this series. All of the books are standalone. However, I would recommend reading them in order for the overall story arc of the series. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions.com*****
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Ms. Gould is a talented writer. the story line for this book kept me emotionally entangled until the very end. You have humor, you have sorrow, anger and awe with the various characters of this story.
Jo was an independent woman do to the things from her past he didn't do commitment. Owen is a werewolf who was more bim bam thank you for the one and done kind of guy not looking for commitment.
The story also contains hints of danger, stalker type character, Immortal domination, and girls night out fun. this book had me laughing out loud at some of the antics of Liza, Brax, Owen and Jo.
I have voluntarily red and reviewed this Advanced reader copy from the author.
Awesome book!! Acceptance is the 3rd in a series and is very well written. I was drawn into the story from the get go and didn't want to stop reading until I reached the end. This book has vampires, wolves, Fae, mates, kidnapping, stalker, and much, much more. I can't wait to read more books by this author. I volunteered to read this book and am now leaving an honest review for it.
You should read the first two books before this one...
You should read the first two books before this one, or you will likely be very lost as to what is happening here. That said, this book felt like a huge build up with very little closure at the end. I would guess that the following book will be the grand climax of the series and that is fine but it made this book feel incomplete. Even the romance between Owen and Jo felt a little lacking because she basically seemed to give in to him. I think with a little bit of editing to smooth it out, it could be a lot better. However, it was still enjoyable overall and if you have been reading this series, you will be happy to see all of our lovely couples living their HEAs, as well as finally learning more about Jo and seeing her happy.
Okay so I was a little lost since I have not read any of the books before this one. But this story is about Jo and Owen. Jo is a sweet fun loving nurse, who works in the same hospital as Liza did. Who is still on the mend from all previous things that have happened before this book. She has the gift of visions that she tries to keep hidden from the world. What she doesn't know is that her past is about to catch up with her. Owen is a werewolf detective. He had ties to Liza, that Jo doesn't like. Who set his sights on Jo, from running into her previously. And will not give up about making her his woman. Even with her sassy adittude that grates on his nerves. So when the world seems to be coming down around them and a stalker comes outta nowhere after Jo. Will they survive the turmoil or will they fall?
Book three in the Immortal Savior series. As I have not read the first two books which I should have done! This was a story that I had to concentrate while reading it is still a good book,I am kind of hoping there is one more book. This is about the romance between Owen who is a Layton police detective and former special ops medic werewolf and Jo is an emotional empath there is a little about Eliza North an ER nurse having to deal with her growing power and her mate Braxton Slater, an Immortal bounty hunter . I would recommend starting at book one to fully get the plot of this series. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the first book I've read by K.K. Gould and I know it won't be the last. I unfortunately have not read the first two books in the series, but it was easy to follow. Though I do recommend that they be read in sequence so that you can pick up more background in the other relationships in the series. Book three focuses on the budding relationship between Jovey and Owen. Jo's past experiences with men has her pulling away from her attraction to Owen. Owen wasn't looking for a mate until he met Jo and he'll do anything to make that so. Great storyline with likeable and loveable characters. I need to read more of this series!!!
This was a lot of fun to read. You do have to read books 1-2 before this one to understand what is happening just so you know. I have read all of them so far and this one picks up where 2 ends and is awesome. The only issue I do have is that I felt like there was this huge build up to have a big climax at the end and didn't have that.. however I think there will be more to this series so maybe it will come soon. It is well written and the characters are likable so all around it is a very good story and I am so glad I got to review it
