When Carrie Jo and Ashland Stuart uncovered the truth about the ghosts of Seven Sisters, they were sure that the supernatural activity would end. When they return home to Mobile after their honeymoon, they soon realize they were wrong—not everyone is at rest. Something or someone is reaching out to the dream catcher. And this time, lives are in the balance.
After a tragic accident, Carrie Jo uses her gift to help a hurting friend in a new way—with hair-raising results! In a true good-versus-evil showdown, Carrie Jo witnesses the ghosts of the past struggle with one another. What will she and her friends have to sacrifice for evil to be defeated?
Okay, this is the second series I have read from this author. I love her style of story telling, however this book was very disorganized. This book takes places months after the 3rd book, and a character that was killed in the 3rd book is now alive and sending mail to Carrie Jo from a mental institution...what? Also, the ending was super weird. Were Bette and TD ghosts all along, how did they end up in the dream, and why are they now gone? This book really ruined the series for me and I doubt I will continue on to book 5.
Ok, now to be honest I wasn't a fan of this book for a couple reasons. First, CJ's friend/psycho was shot and killed in book three, however this book takes place months later and she's reportedly in an institution. What???? I know this is a ghost story but really, if she's dead it's a little late for therapy. I also don't like that Bette and TD ended up, what? Dead?, Missing?, who knows. Now, were they the reincarnations of the Doctor and daughter? And if so why would they die in the new life and what were they doing in the dream to begin with? This book was a pale shadow to the first three. The storyline wasn't as thought out and well planned, the characters almost seemed to bore me at times. I sincerely hope book five is better or it will be the last I read from this author.

I liked this story...and Ive obviously read this far.
This one bothered me, though. LOTS of errors! Grammatical errors throughout the book, paragraphs that fall off from page to page, and dont end. The spelling errors were endless.
It is getting hard to keep track of who is who and whos tied to who and then there's nicknames in the mix as well...this book also jumps from person to person point of view. It was hard to follow.
The ending ticked me off the most!! Carrie is supposedly a dream catcher (but can also see things while she's awake...) and yet, somehow, two other living people end up in the dream with her?? How?? And then Ashley, as well?! Not living, nor involved in the dream in any way!
1) This book left too many unanswered questions. Books 1,2,and 3 also left unanswered questions.
2) I understand that books can have cliffhangers. I think books 1 through 4 should be combine together. I do not like wasting money. I do not like false marketing. When I book a book, I want the complete book.
3) I am only finishing this series for I have a Bachelor in history. I would love to have a change on historical project like this. I also like the ghost mysteries.
This was my least favorite book of the series. It felt rushed and the characters didn't even seem like the same people. And frankly, I don't understand what even happened in the end of the book.
Okay, so I had my issues with the first three books, but was determined to continue the series because of the things I liked. After this book, I don't think I will be reading any more of this series and maybe not even this author.
The issues I had with the first three books (splitting one story and plot line into three books with nonsensical breaks) did not occur here. For that, I was happy. The whole story was told in one book. Points for that.
But there is so much wrong with this book. We flip from present to past and back pretty much every chapter. We don't know why the people from the past are attached to the people in the future, other than CJ. The author calls her a dream catcher, which doesn't really make sense. Yes, she gets most of her information through dreaming, but she has had some experiences while awake. If the author was so opposed to calling CJ a psychic, then why not just say that she is in touch with spirits or something else? It would have made more sense than calling her a dream catcher and having to explain it to every character multiple times.
The next thing that bugged me was that this story read like an unfinished manuscript. There were so many grammatical mistakes that should have been caught in editing. Whole sentences were missing or incomplete. They would stop with a word, that clearly wasn't the end of the thought, and then a new sentence started. Words were missing or replaced with another word that didn't make sense. Names were changed mistakenly. With as many characters as the author introduced into this story and the ones that had been in the story already, it was confusing at times.
The ending just didn't make sense. We go from CJ diving into Detra's subconscious while Detra was in a coma to try to help her wake up to an event at Seven Sisters months later. First, it's a matter of who is playing which part in the past. CJ is Calpurnia, Detra is Christine, TD is Hoyt, and Ashley is just wandering around in a time and place she didn't belong in as her normal self? I mean, come on. The author did a decent job in the first three novellas, making CJ and Calpurnia's attachment seem believable. That all went out the window here. It just did not make sense. And then Bette shows up, in this dream/coma/vision of the past world, and saves the day? Really? She just walks up to the ghost that is tormenting them all and pretty much says, "Shoo," and he does? Oh, and Isla goes too? Didn't they get rid of Isla in the last book?
But then we turn the page, and time has passed. Again, we don't know how much. Has it been 6 months? A year? Who knows, because it's not stated. Just that months have gone by. After all of those dramatic events while Detra was in the hospital, all it rates is a "we know the truth. That's all that matters." And then they walk out of Seven Sisters, never to return. Didn't they do that in the last book?
Don't even get me started on the Bette afterthought/epilogue/whatever you want to call it. The author never gives a time frame for anything, so reading about Bette chasing Mia, who died in the last book, as if it just happened, was frustrating. It's almost as frustrating as the CJ's baby dream or real baby or something at the end of the third book. When you are dealing with characters that move through time, can access a dream world, or anything like that, you have to so clear about what is real and what is not and what is a memory. And this story did not do that.
As much as I liked the first three novellas and the characters, I sadly think this is the end of the line for me
My rating: 2 stars

Well, disclosure, I haven’t read the Seven Sisters books 1-3. Thus, I was not serious about this and no idea what happened before. I was hoping there’d be a recap, but got none. Since it’s short, I decided to just finish this and see if it would entice me to read the previous books. Which were corrupted, so I can’t open them, sadly.
It kind of did, because of the excitement of being a “dream catcher“, yet there was danger too. But, it’s as if Carrie Jo is not very good at what she’s doing. That’s the impression I got. I seemingly want to read it, but it’s quite okay if I didn’t. You know?
It’s nicely written, yet, some dialogue seemed forced and unnatural. And I have no idea what the people look like. I guess it assumes I already know. It’s just okay.
And the story continues . . . This next installment tells another story of the Cottonwood family. This time it’s from the perspective of Calpurnia’s mother, Christine Beaumont Cottonwood. More family secrets are uncovered and once again, Carrie Jo’s life is plagued with intrusions from the supernatural. Now, however, her dreams are not the only place the ghosts of the pasts can be found; “they” have decided to make their presence known in the present. I was pleasantly shocked at the ending which makes me look forward to the last two books of this series!
I love this series but this book was not it. The Kinle.version is absolutely full of typos and grammatical errors. It also said that Christine was killed by another person (no spoilers) but in book 3 (?) We learn that Isla did. There are a few other things that make me wonder if the author forgot what she had already written. This book was also difficult to follow as it jumped from one character's view to another. The dream works also got very confusing as the ghosts would embody living characters. I'm really hoping book 5 is better.
The first two books books were enjoyable. The third had a few messy grammar errors and a bizarre spelling error here and there because of autocorrect or perhaps errors in the speech-to-text translation? The fourth book (this one) was riddled with incomplete sentences and bad grammar. It was hard to read it the book because of the careless errors. For the love of God, proofread out loud before you publish!
What can I say!! Another excellent book in the Seven Sisters Series.. The fourth book in the series was quite different. There were many possessions which kept you moving quickly. I think you will find this book as exciting as the others. Now on to Book 5. Come join me!
oh my gosh... this is a must-read series. It has so many twists & turns. The characters are very well described. The story pulls you in & tangles you in it. I feel like i am walking along with the characters living out the book. It is sureal. I literally can't put this book down or any of the previous 3.
I was enjoying the first three books. But this one confused me. So many things that are referenced in the beginning I just don’t recall reading about. When did CJ and Ash get married? When did she go back to the house with Detra? Either my kindle is skipping pages and I’m not noticing or this was done on purpose? Makes me not want to continue. I have so many questions.

Did anyone proofread this book? Last names with no capitalization, sentences that are started and then drop off at the end of paragraphs, so you have no idea what was going to be said, sentences with duplicate words side by side. This was like reading a rough draft. The story also didn't flow smoothly. I'll try the next in the series, but I won't continue if the quality remains the same.
This book was such a touching story. A story of timeless love, honor and true friendship. I really look forward to reading the next book. This authoress has a style of writing that is very refreshing and truly remarkable.
Read this book in 2 days. That says a lot. It was captivating, in a way that the others books were not. I think that the mystery is slowing being solved, evolving, and it causes the books to read faster, the details clearer and meatier. READ! This series is incredible.
Gave three stars because the series has a good premise but you really have to be able to follow the writing style. The author started doing the past and present viewpoints from different characters so a few times I lost track of which character was telling the story at the time.
Now, I am so happy some of the loose ends from the previous book were answered and I am now intrigued to see where the story goes. In a way I would have liked the whole series condensed into one novel, but they are quick reads especially as I am interested in the subject matter.
Wow, who would have thought these secrets could get any more interesting? Well, they have and each one seems more scandalous than the last. Good series.
And a new leg to this adventure begins, okay I'm here for it. The story telling in these is wonderful. I feel so caught up like I'm in the dreams with Carrie Jo, that's a tribute to this writer's abilities.
Really you skip over so much, like Carrie Jo’s wedding, again there is no introduction of characters and some times the sentence simply stops. Sometimes it stops in middle word. This story jumps around so much that it is almost impossible to keep track.
There were many errors in this book that I would hope after 5 the editor would have picked up on or noticed. I don’t know if I will continue this series and it is getting pretty boring. Not long reads but definitely slow and taking me a long time to read them.
Such a complicated book with complicated relationships. I am 75 and feel older and yet the women in this story seem so much older... Because their lives are so complicated.
