Born in Chicago, Illinois Drea Delgado is the newest author on the urban fiction scene. Drea has been writing since she was thirteen years old. At the urging of a friend, she began to write her first untitled novel over the course of a few years. Having shown it to a few friends, they urged her to write, but she never took it seriously.

She won many awards throughout high school for writing. It was in high school where she discovered her love of reading starting with the legendary Donald Goines novels. Drea began to get serious about writing during a very low point in her life. She would sit for hours on end and just write until she couldn't write anymore.

Drea is the author of the Groupie Chronicles series, Professional Freak, Memoirs of an R & B Housewife, Kharma Is A Bitch and Loyalty & Respect.

An author, mom, business owner and advocate. Drea resides in suburban Chicago with her family.
