Since her very childhood she has a penchant towards art & culture. She has been closely attached to music and has two music albums to her credit, the entire sale proceed of which went in aid for the education of economically backward children. She is intricately associated with various Non Governmental Organisations.
Presently, Debatrayee Banerjee is acting as the Secretary of Bangla Noboborsho Ujjapan Samity, an organization primarily involved in social welfare activities. Simultaneously, she has been handling the editorial part of the Confederation of Indian Advertising, a reputed Calcutta based institution.

I came across this book while searching for some good poetry books and the cover picture instantly caught my attention. The book has a soothing feel to it.The poems aptly touch upon the true picture of life and the images attached are equally brilliant. I particularly like the poems Hope and Memories. A perfect combination of poetry and visual art.
