From Lucifer to nightmare daemons, wandering lonely through a cemetery late at night, our fears haunt us. We were raised on horror movies, where only one survived the carnage. But we rarely look back at the horrors and nightmares of what our ancestors believed were the nightmares they faced. Using some of the poetry from a book called Demons published in 1918, but written in the 1840’s we tried to capture that viewpoint of almost 200 years ago those things that scared our ancestors. The creatures living in our feted dreams, our deepest nightmares from a time when demons stalked the earth and fairy people still lived in the hills.
