— Adhitya Aris
Oda Nobunaga is amazing, I would love the fiction more if that's telling the truth. Don't be short sight, but long-sighted. Don't go with the flow, defeat your opponents by a surprise move. Be sure where your next step will fall so that you will not stumble. A suspected cannot be used -- if you doubt a person, do not use him.
"Oda Nobunaga", serialized in 1954, is a biographical novel. It tells the story of Oda Nobunaga's magnificent life from unifying Owari to re-establishing generals and controlling Gyeonggi, and finally being betrayed by generals at the peak of his career and dreaming of Innouji Temple.
Yamaoka Shohachi was born in Kode Town, Niigata Prefecture, Japan in 1907 and died in 1978. He left home at the age of 14 and started earning a living independently. During World War II, he wrote field reports, war literature, and other propaganda materials for the Japanese army. These works were highly praised by the Japanese military and won many awards. Representative works: "Oda Nobunaga", "Toyotomi Hideyoshi", "Tokugawa Ieyasu", etc.
Oda Nobunaga was born in 1534 in Nagoya City (present-day Owarina Furuno Castle), Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and died in 1582. He, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu were also called "Three Masters of the Warring States Period in Japan" by later generations. In 1551, Oda Nobunaga died and Oda Nobunaga, the eldest son, succeeded to the throne. In 1559, through fierce political struggles, Oda Nobunaga established control over the entire Owari country. In 1560, Imagawa Yoshimoto gathered 20,000 to 25,000 troops to attack Owari himself.
Oda Nobunaga led 4,000 troops into battle and attacked Imagawa Yoshimoto in Tokazama. Imagawa Yoshimoto died in battle and the Imagawa army was defeated. In 1567, Emperor Mashincho officially awarded Oda Nobunaga as an "unparalleled general" and praised him. In 1581, Oda Nobunaga's power reached its heyday. In 1582, Oda Nobunaga stayed at Honno-Ji Temple, but Mitsuhide Aichi who was sent to assist Toyotomi Hideyoshi suddenly appeared in Kyoto and launched an attack on Honno-Ji Temple. Oda Nobunaga led his entourage to fight with guns and returned to the house after being wounded. Arson committed suicide.
The Japanese Warring States Period (1467-1600 or 1615) generally refers to the period of history from the late Muromachi Shogunate to the Azuchi-Momoyama period. In the first year of Yingren (1467), the Yingren Rebellion broke out, and each guardian chose their side to support each other, forming a big melee between the Allied Forces of the Eastern Hosokawa and the Allied Forces of the Western Army. In 1600, Tokugawa Ieyasu led his army to confront Toyotomi generals, and the main forces of the two armies finally fought in the Omi area (historically known as the Sekihara Battle).
In 1615, Ieyasu Tokugawa once again sent troops to defeat Osaka Castle. This time, it is said that the battle of Osaka Summer Camp ended with the fall of Osaka Castle and Hideyoshi Toyonari's mother and son committed suicide. Tokugawa Kang's forces destroyed the Toyotomi, since the end of Onin chaotic situation of the Warring States, officially entered the history since the Edo period. Corresponding to Chinese history, this period is the Ming Dynasty, from the succession of Ming Xianzong Zhu Jianshen in 1464 to the death of Ming Shenzong Zhu Yijun in 1620.

Yamaoka Shohachi’s "Oda Nobunaga" is a historical novel. The basic plot follows history, but in terms of details, there are inevitably many places where the author can use his imagination freely, which is similar to "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Historical novels or romances are naturally more interesting to read than official history, but this type of work often reveals the author’s subjective likes and dislikes between the lines, explicitly or implicitly, and novels inevitably have to exaggerate feelings and atmosphere. It is easy to lose objectivity.
The first person I think of to compare with Oda Nobunaga is Cao Cao. Both Oda Nobunaga and Cao Cao are outstanding military strategists and statesmen, with great talents and ambitions in the world. And the political strategies adopted are quite similar.
Oda Nobunaga takes King Jin (the emperor) as his priority. When he was a boy, he made a wish to end this troubled world before the age of fifty (at the age of 49). He was a little bohemian. Although he was Owari's heir, he did not adhere to ritual laws. , Known as the big fool of Owari by everyone, this is also one of the reasons why the elders strongly opposed letting him, the eldest son, inherit the position of head of the house. His marriage to Nohime Nohime was political, and Nohime's father Dozo was the lord of Mino country.
Dosan 's original intention was to let his daughter control this stupid son-in-law so that he could annex Owari Ikuni in the future. As a result, after the first talented woman in Mino married Nobunaga, she fell in love with this big idiot of Owari. She praised Nobunaga as the "first person in Japan" in a letter to her father, and even Dozo was also with Nobunaga Shōtoku Temple. After the meeting, he became a strong supporter of Nobunaga.
Nobunaga is a grumpy person. The explanation given by Yamaoka Souhachi for the Mutiny of Akechi Mitsuhide Honnoji in this book is that as Nobunaga's confidant, Akechi Mitsuhide betrayed Nobunaga because he was dissatisfied with Nobunaga's bad attitude towards him.
In his life, Nobunaga Rongma saw that his lifelong wish to unify Japan and end the troubled world was about to be fulfilled, but he died under his confidant. Although Aichi Mitsuhide killed Nobunaga, he was by no means a person capable of unifying Japan, and Nobunaga’s sons did not. This ability, the last heir to his legacy is Tokugawa Ieyasu, his childhood playmate, is amazing.
Oda Nobunaga, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi are collectively known as the "Three Masters of the Warring States Period." Without Nobunaga's support, I am afraid that there will be no deeds of the other two. Cao Cao stood out in the troubled times and laid the foundation for ending the troubled times. In the end, although he was not killed by his subordinates, he failed to raise his ambition. After his death, he was usurped by Sima's hard work.
Speaking of being killed by his subordinates, I think of Park Jeong-hee, the father of the current South Korean President Park Geun-Hye. He was a tough man. During his 18 years as South Korea’s president, he led South Korea’s economic growth and created a miracle on the Han River, but was shot to death by his subordinate Kim Jae-Gyu. Nobunaga set a "world cloth Wu" ( by force made the world ) of Chi is willing to unify by force Japan to end the chaos in his mind, sometimes not kill an insect is a kind-hearted, sometimes killing It is also kind to die 10,000 enemies.
In troubled times, playing the kingly way with dominance is almost the path that many lords choose to take. And if ordinary people are not in their place and do not seek politics, how can they understand what these people want to pursue?
In the book the Honnō Temple Mutiny, it makes people feel horrified. Although Nobunaga and his subordinates asked Nobunaga to leave with other women and children, Nobunaga insisted on not allowing him; even though the enemy warrior stated that he would not kill the woman, Nobunaga was still alive, and finally, Nobunaga died. His wife was dead, and the remaining guards resisted desperately, leaving Nobunaga time to commit suicide, lest Nobunaga was beheaded by the enemy and insulted his reputation.
Nobunaga glanced at the deceased wife and the seriously injured guard for the last time, entered the house, lit the house, cut his belly, and killed himself, causing his body to disappear into the sea of flames, unable to gain the enemy. It can be said that life is a master, and death is also a ghost.
Nobunaga was cynical when he was young. The people around us are very worried about him. In the end, his achievements were beyond imagination before the world. It reminds me of the Spring and Autumn Period Chu Zhuang Wang. "Han Feizi" records, "The king of Chuzhuang has been in politics for three years, without order, no political action. You Sima the throne, and Wang Yin said, "There are birds only in the south, and three years without wings, without flying or singing. Silent and silent, why is this name?' Wang Yue:'If you don't have wings for three years, you will have long wings; if you don't fly or cry, you will observe the people. Although there is no flying, flying will soar into the sky; if there is no sound, the sound will be amazing.' "
I was curious, in the end, is with age, they gradually changed the style of doing things, or from the outset they deliberately made this bohemian behavior to, play the fool is like Hamlet.
"The game is finally over, the boy suddenly stood up and said: "During the turbulent times of the Warring States Period, the women have to strengthen themselves to serve the country. " "Yes! "Don't forget, today's victor, I will accept him as a concubine in the future." " " Yes! "To have a strong child, the mother must first be strong, not a weak one." " "Yes! " "it is good! That's it for today. " "
This approach reminds people of Kangxi recruiting a group of teenagers to practice wrestling. It's just that Nobunaga is training a group of 13 or 14-year-old girls, which is even more absurd. Because most people think that war is a man's business. Nobunaga claimed that he would choose his future concubine through comparative force, although he did not fulfill his promise later. In the eyes of others, this behavior is absurd. After all, usually, people choose the wife of a reference factor, mainly in beauty, character, and the like.
" Seriously!" The other party put the cup on the stage angrily: "I must find an ideal partner for our princess. Please forgive me for these behaviors of your son." Zhengxiu is not angry, but His face was full of confusion. He knocked two or three heads in a row. "Yes, when you go back to see the lord, of course, you have to tell him what you saw, but Mr. Muramatsu, I also hope you can say something for our lord."
"What do you want me to say?" "Oh! You might as well say that my old man has different views from you." "What do you mean by the different views?" "I think this marriage is Japan The best marriage will have a major impact on the future of our two families.” ”
For ordinary people, it doesn't hurt to choose a partner based on their personal preferences. But for the gentry, marriage is not just a matter of two people, but a matter of two families, it is also a matter of combining two interests. Because of the huge impact, it is not in line with the feelings of things. Like ordinary people decide what they want in a job that may affect only individuals or small families. For these behemoth families, every decision they make may be the beginning of their own family's prosperity or decline.
Therefore, in this case, marriage is not so much an emotionally guided behavior, but rather a choice made after rational thinking. This lack of freedom is also a price. Others only see the scenery of the big family, but also ignore their responsibilities.
" If you can marry Dosan's most beloved princess, the disputes between the Oda clan can be calmed down, the family status problem can be resolved, and all problems will disappear. The establishment of this marriage is not only related to Nobunaga's The position of the Tian family also determines the position of the Oda family in Owari. "
" Nobunaga had to sit side by side with Masahide. "What can I say, I'm busy now!" "Your marriage!" Did you forget the marriage with Mino? " "Oh! It turns out that you mean the thing about the daughter of the scorpion! "Yes, Mino has already sent his retainers, do you know?" This marriage is best to be successful, and you should also converge. "
"Hahaha!" Nobunaga laughed out loud: "You are so dumb, if I change my attitude, then this marriage will be difficult." "Why would you say that?" "Yes! Her father's name As a scorpion, he must be different from others, and his daughter will be no exception! "
This kind of logic is somewhat similar to Wang Xizhi 's practice of easting the bed. "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" records, " Tao Fu Chen was at Jingkou, and he sent his disciple and Prime Minister Wang to write letters to ask for a daughter. The prime minister said Chen Xin: "You go to the East Chamber, choose it at will. "The student returned to Bai Qie said: "Wang family and Zhulang are also praised. Smell to find a lot of distress, salty and reserved; only a man lying naked on the east bed if he does not smell. "Qie Gongyun: "That's right! "I visited it because it was Yi Shao, because of marrying a daughter and Yan. "
When other men pursue women, they put out their best. But Nobunaga, like Wang Xizhi, held a cynical attitude. I do not know who deliberately odd winning or his heart simply does not care about the marriage.
" Anong, do you know your father's name?" Doosan suddenly asked. She turned her face and said, "Your name is scorpion!" Hearing her daughter's answer, Daosan couldn't help but stared in his eyes and nodded. nod. "In the process of childbirth, it has to bite the abdomen of relatives to be born. This is like killing your parents before you can be born." "Yes, I understand this..." "As a father, I also know that you have We are grown-ups. There is no need to hide each other." "Yes."
"Born in the Warring States period, I think it's not wrong to be a mock. I don't kill people. People will kill me. At a critical juncture, maybe even my parents will die in their own hands. This is the reality of the world." "Ah! What a horror! Father." "I was originally a monk, and I deeply believed in the teachings of the two sects. I started as a seller of oil." "I also know this." "I have three wives. Don't talk about the first term ." Now, the second term is Mino's guardianship-Toki Yoshie's concubine Sanyoshino. In other words, I am in liaison with the lord's concubine."
When Nou heard this, she immediately sat down. She understood that when her father said such things, it was his most serious time. No matter how cruel this matter is, whether others can accept such cruel facts or not, he speaks the truth without hesitation. This is her father's harsh life philosophy. Kazuo Ye was also taken aback and listened with breathlessness. "It's okay to let you know. At the time, Santoshi had Toki's flesh and blood in his belly, and I had an affair with her when I knew about it.
I actually love the book. And I adore Sohachi Yamaoka for making this easy to understand. His choice of words is good. It feels like I'm reading a enjoyable history book. Sohachi do a good job decribing Oda Nobunaga. The person we called Demon King.
Well, this first book tells you the young life of Oda Nobunaga, a naughty boy who love playing weird tricks. But behind that he hides all the secret plan inside him.
So I'm kinda confused to keep up with Nobunaga's age. But overall... its good
New review: Preserved the rating because I liked it well enough as a new reader. As a more-informed, more seasoned reader, this is just "a product of its time". I still like how it tries to be all historically accurate by referring to people by their titles and not their name, in accordance to correct samurai etiquette of the time. Everything else, not so much.
---------- Old review:
1. Hebat.
4. Entah bahasa aslinya bagaimana, tapi ada satu bagian dimana Tokichiro kesannya seperti sedang menyatakan cinta pada Nobunaga. Mungkin maksudnya mau memuji-muji jang berlebihan, tapi kok pilihan katanya aneh sekali.
Nobunaga Oda is one of the most eccentric characters I know, and that is what makes him interesting. I first knew him from a game called Warriors Orochi. In the game, he is named the Demon King, and his arrogant and clever remarks intrigue me. Wanting to know more about his relationship with Lady Noh (his wife, who's in the game is equally arrogant and clever) is what drove me to buy this book. Although I find many typos in the book, overall I enjoy reading it.
Throughout the book I am constantly impressed by Nobunaga's antics, until near the end... Because Nobunaga is such a different personality, I foolishly thought he would be different in his marriage life as well. Of course I understand completely that during that time, it was not uncommon for a leader to have more than one wife. I believed that Nobunaga and Lady Noh were a perfect couple that he didn't need another wife. But I was wrong... after being married for 6 years, Lady Noh hadn't given a child (more importantly, a successor to Oda Clan) to Nobunaga, so he decided to take three concubines. Three! Oh, how it tore my heart! I feel really sorry for Lady Noh--despite her cool response to this, deep inside her heart, she's wounded and truly sad.
At the end of the book, I don't feel bad for Nobunaga when his enemies were planning to assassinate him on August 20th (hey, it's my birthday!). He'd get what he deserved.
In the meantime, I'm hoping Mitsuhide Akechi (Lady Noh's cousin) will appear in the second book. In the game, he is Nobunaga's right hand. He's calm and totally handsome!
He's like Luffy, Naruto, Goku, or any eccentric shonen manga protagonist, except he's a real person. A seemingly stupid boy who likes to break pointless norms, and having a dream, too huge that people would laugh at him.
I rarely get attached to a hisfic character, but this one surely is an exception.
