A powerful Contemporary Romance. Here is the first book in the ‘Quiver’ Series by Lucia Jordan, written in her signature style of high passion and emotion. Bad Boys may be dangerous but they’re just too damned tempting, don’t you think? Tray Hollis is the tall, dark and deadly ‘Bad Boy’ in tight jeans and tattoo sleeves Lyssa Canfield lusts for. But he will also be the last one. Chronically unlucky in love and on her way to find Mr. Reliable, Lyssa is making time for one final fling... But when Lyssa wakes up the next morning in Tray’s arms, she is shocked by the dawning realization that not only does she want something more than a fling with Tray, but also that he’s her next-door neighbor. Will their liaison remain a once off, or will Lyssa find herself succumbing to her deviant desires? Only mature audiences should download this book
Since releasing her first romance book in 2012, Lucia Jordan has done more than just write stories. She has helped define a genre. As a pioneer of the digital romance revolution, Lucia has penned hundreds of sizzling titles, delighted millions of readers, and earned thousands of five-star reviews. Her ability to blend emotional depth with uninhibited passion has made her a household name, with her hit novel Rock Hard earning a coveted nod as the #1 must-read erotic novel by Women's Health magazine.
But Lucia’s passion extends beyond the page. As the creative force and founding author behind Wild Hearts Romance, she is a champion for the indie community, dedicated to lifting up new voices in a genre she calls powerful, valid, and necessary. She writes for the dreamers and the risk-takers to craft stories that leave nothing to the imagination and remind us all that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after.
When she isn’t fantasizing about her next spicy scene or advocating for fellow writers, Lucia can be found in her sanctuary, a cozy garden gazebo in the Pacific Northwest. It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.
I am giving this book a 4.5 star rating. This is the story of Lyssa. Lyssa had a legendary ability to pick the wrong guys that fall under the heading of "emotionally unavailable". She seems to put her emotions into those bad boys until one day she comes up with a plan to find her not "Mr. Right", but her "Mr. Boring, Nice Guy". She decides she needs to actively pursue guys who are the opposite of what she's attracted to. But before she puts her plan in action, she decides to have one more fling with a bad boy.
This is when she approaches Tray. She has been checking him out all night. Tray didn't like forward women but he made an exception for the gorgeous Lyssa.
Tray is a dominant and assured man. He knows what he likes and likes to satisfy a woman. Some of the things he said to Lyssa made me do a look at the imaginary audience type of gesture. He made Lyssa feel there was nothing more in the world that he wanted than her.
I have to say that the chemistry and sex between these 2 characters were scorching hot. I was shaking my head like a bobble head during these scenes. After their one night stand you can see the feelings that could develop between these 2, but there is a denial on Lyssa's part. She wants to follow through with her plan. Then since Tray lives next door didn't help her resolve to not sleep with him.
I want to see how this story is going to develop. How can hold out against the manly wilds of Tray? What would Tray do to persuade Lyssa to come to the dark side?
She was all set to endure a boring ever after until she met a one nite stand. He met all the requirements in a bad boy she was trying to get away from. She figured just one nite then she would look for boring good guy. They set the sheets on fire but morning came and he was suppose to be gone. Turns out he lived right across the hall.
Tray is the classic tatted bad boy, and Lyssa’s “one last fling” premise adds a delicious edge to the attraction. The neighbor twist keeps things intimate and interesting, especially when her resolve wavers fast. It’s short, sexy, and a little more emotionally nuanced than expected for its length. A great pick if you love the danger of temptation mixed with the promise of something more.
Lyssa wants to have one more night with a "bad boy". She sees Tray at a motorcycle club, and goes to get the man. But her one night stand turns out to be someone that she never expected.
Love the "one last fling" with the bad boy before settling for Mr. Boring premise was a touch better when she feels it could be more permanent. I found the morning after scene to be very funny. Great quick read.
This was enjoyable and I almost wanted to purchase the series. What held me back was the lack of depth that I know is in the other parts that make up the series. Good story just need more depth.
Every book that this author puts out seems better better than the one before it. This book is definitely a great book to read. Steamy and plenty of lust. I just know the rest of the books will be just as great
Her books are usually good. Not funny. :-) but this one is. Starts funny. And I want to know what trey does for a living. Somehow I don't think he's such a bad boy.
Its a nice starting to a story. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. All these questions pop in my head. That's when you know it'll be a great ending.
I guess this reminds me of a bad guy turned good boy love story. She finds out that this bad boy might be just what she needs. Great story. Love it....
This story is fun and funny. How many times has someone tried to make up their mind to do something out of their norm, only to have it backfire on them.
