Great tips as always. I love his first book in this series which I read when I was just starting photography. I got this as I was not in the mood to read 4 more books in the series (which I will definitely read someday). There were some great tips but some chapters were useless to me - like the ones which talked to those who were getting started with photography or the ones about setting up your own studio. But still a great book.
Scott Kelby uses one photographic idea per page in this book and consistently explains his secrets to achieving successful images. The award-winning author's acute sense of humor makes this beginner's book quite an enjoyable read. This is just one wonderful book in a series that he has written on digital photography. A great investment! I will refer to this time after time.
I have read this book several times and also I think anybody can read some part of it again and again. Although having several parts, made it a book for begginers but there are useful tips in eash chapter.
This is probably the best informational photography book you're going to get. Rather than nailing all the technical stuff/why things work with photography, this guy keeps it simple, straightforward, and easy to understand. If you want your pics to look pro, read this! Plus, Scott Kelby has an awesome sense of humor so it makes for a great read.
Good Book for beginners. Gives you idea about what tools you need. I think after reading few books and doing my practice, you need to learn some photo editing tools to make your photos look great.
conclusion: You should read this book to take good photographs. And to make those good photographs great, you use Photoshop or lightroom!
