My 18th birthday gift was moving in with two of the hottest, cockiest guys I’d ever met.

Austen and Logan Riggens, my new stepbrothers, my walking nightmares. They’re both older than me, they’re both MMA fighters, and to describe them in a few words…they're charming, assertive, know-it-all, a**holes.

It’s like an unwritten rule in their house that they walk around without shirts on. Teasing me, mocking me, trying their best to make me squirm.

They don’t care that our parents are practically married, or that it’s totally unacceptable to steal a kiss from me as we pass in the hallways, leave the door open as they get out of the shower, or invite me into their bedrooms.

Inside the cage...inside our house...two brothers fighting over me.

But the more I play hard to get, the stronger their advances become. And the more they treat me like sh*t, the more I want them…

Oh boy. So, it's common knowledge that I've been on a stepbrother kick. So color me intrigued when I read the blurb of this book and find not one, but TWO stepbrothers! The down side is a potential love triangle...not a huge fan of them...and this book exemplified all of those reasons.

It actually started out ok. Nice set up, good into to the brothers...then I felt like not much happened for a while. During the time that I should have been getting to know the characters, I felt like there was precious little time spent with Logan and Austen, so I really didn't know them.

Austen...from what I did know about him, he was too good to be true. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and I even had a theory of what would come out about him. Just for the record...I was right.

Logan. He was a horse of a different color. For most of the book, he was also a mystery. But when Cat ran into him in Denver, I knew for sure then, that he would be the end game of the book. He and Cat actually sat and talked, trading secrets that the rest of the family didn't know about them. It was the first time I'd really gotten to know one of the guys.

My biggest issue ended up being with Cat and the love triangle itself. Like I said, I'm not a huge triangle fan, but I hated how this played out. So both guys get hurt by Cat's indecision and guilt. And the whole triangle caused family problems.

My other issue was that everything took so long to happen. 41% of the book, things got physical between Austen and Cat. 61%, they had problems. 64% Cat and Logan get together and from there, it was drama and who will she choose in the end.

This book wasn't all bad, but it didn't work for me. Maybe if so much time hadn't been spent with one guy for her to jump over to the second guy...I don't know. It just was off for me.

I seem to be gravitating back to my obsession with Stepbrother romances at the moment....Have you noticed ?. Okay, enough of the reflection.

I REALLY got into this story line, maybe it was because Celia had gifted my dirty mind with not one but two hunks of Stepbrother for our leading beau to choose from. Decisions, decisions.....

This is Cat, Logan and Austen's story. Cat as a lead in my opinion was quite the submissive and just wanted to please those who she cared about in her life, sometimes at the expense of her own dreams.

Logan and Austen.....two words.....Chalk and Cheese.....very different but BOTH equally appealing and yes sir re they both set there sights on Cat. Although, one a little faster paced than the other.

The pace of the story flowed well, angst and "OMG they didn't" parts believable and HOT romance. The fact our two hero leads are MMA fighters....God damn HUGE bonus for me !!!

All through the story my mind was working overtime thinking who would Cat choose ?....I was routing for my own brother and nope lips zipped on that one. You need to read and decide yourself who you think deserves Cat in the end.

Would I recommend ?...absolutely.

Well done Celia for a HOT to Handle Stepbrother story !!

Later Peeps xx

I started this last night just for shits and giggles and ended up liking it. Goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover. I wasn't expecting anything superb, but it was surprisingly good! Yes, the story is all the rage, it's cliché, it's predictable, but it's also entertaining and has its moments. I'm glad I took the chance in it!

Let me tell you this I am 100% #TeamLogan. Don't get me wrong Austen is good and all but he is a cocky cheater who kisses up to people to get what he wants. And yes in the first parts of the book I liked him but I love Logan. I really enjoyed reading this story. The story flowed flawlessly. Loved all the events that happened through out the book. Really glad I took the chance to read it.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review & since I'm already a fan of Celia Loren I knew it would be a good read.
The synopsis of the book was, for me, a bit misleading; the brothers, Austin (22) & Logan (21) were MMA fighters, coached by their former-boxer father, Duke aka BigRig. He's also seeing Caitlyn's mother Joanne & they all meet @ Caitlyn's 18th birthday party. Austin asks Caitlyn out to the next MMA fight & she agrees. Then she finds out that Joanne is moving in with Duke & so too is Caitlyn. She & Austin decide to keep their date & subsequent relationship a secret from their parents & Caitlyn forms a friendship with Logan. This is what differs from the synopsis -quote "It’s like an unwritten rule in their house that they walk around without shirts on. Teasing me, mocking me, trying their best to make me squirm." and But the more I play hard to get, the stronger their advances become. And the more they treat me like sh*t, the more I want them…
Cat seemed very much prepared to further her affair with Austin, meanwhile Logan challenges her about her lack of commitment to herself & how she does whatever her mother wants her to do. It makes her actually think...
The story line was sound, I liked the idea of both brothers wanting the girl; she wasn't very clear about what she wanted & this created unnecessary problems with both brothers & both parents. I wanted more from the story, it ended quite abruptly & I really would like another book about all 3 main characters. This is not a stepbrother romance in the actual sense, rather a love story between a young confused girl & two young men who knew what they wanted...Maybe this is a little "out there', but perhaps a ménage à trois was the real solution! Nevertheless, I enjoyed the book, read it in one afternoon & will definitely continue to read Celia Loren's books. You should read it too.

I'm at a lost here. The love triangle made Cat look like a slut. Yes I knew about the love triangle but I had no way of knowing how the author was going to do it. So basically I had to read it. And nope or more like hell no its was done where she literally moves from one bed to another. Maybe if it was done with some months/years in between the brothers I could take it. Or hell maybe if she would had never been with the other one sexually then that would have been better. Bottom line is I really didn't like Cat her friend Maya was a better character. So much of the book was spent on the wrong relationship by the time we get to the one she wanted the book is almost over. I feel cheated I wanted to experience their love for each other and then get to the end. Does Cat ever pick a major? Does the relationship get anymore ups and downs? I'm guessing this will be the only book about Cat and her boyfriend so I should probably let my questions go.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review

who doesn't love them some MMA fighters????? I know I do...oh yeah

I absolutely loved this story! the complexity of the love triangle...
Cat annoyed me a little at times but then she got it together and I love how she knew what she needed to do.
Austen is the charming one and Logan is the intense one.
I am so happy that she chose the right person for her and for me lol
this is definitely a keeper for me
hope there's a story for the other brother...don't want to give anything away!!

Not my cup of tea

I had a couple of issues with this book. For one thing the heroine she was so fickle it was not even funny.i just did not like her. I thought Logan was to good for her. As for Austin ugh he did not know what he wanted. I am sorry but this book did not do it for me .

One thing i have to correct though is that Duke and Cat's mother are not married so technically, Logan and Austen are NOT her stepbrothers.

I have to admit that i am not the biggest fan of a love triangle and this is one of those that i don't like. I love the boys but Cat is just an idiot. She's the typical character who have two guys who really loves her but she can't choose one so she opt to lead both of them on because she's too afraid to hurt either of them.

STUPID, i know. Immature and an idiot.

I was rooting for Austen in the beginning because he was such a sweet and charming guy but as the story progressed, i had to go with Logan. (And i don't even regret it) EVERYONE NEEDS A LOGAN OK. He's the quiet but very polite guy who's sincere and caring but also mysterious, just a little bit. He's like the balance between sweet and charming & mysterious and hot. UGH LOVE. HIM.

The story is really good but i have to say the writing is just average. Especially the intimate sex scenes. Those were i dont want to say badly written, but definitely not the best. It was just so simple, straight to the point and it all happened so fast that i feel like he hold her waist, they start kissing, 2 seconds later both of them are done, *if you know what i mean*.

The overall story was good and it's such a quick read that i would definitely recommend!

intense

This is only my 2nd MMA book I have read & I thought the fighting & the training was very well thought out and articulated in a way that left no questions nor raised brows about its authenticity. The characters themselves were quite accurately described; Austen seemed like the true jack ass he was, self righteous & pompous, acting like he was the better son throughout most of the story. Logan, quiet Logan seemed to be more focused on not only his character but how he defined himself as a fighter. He never gave up on his dream & encouraged others around him to the same. Genuine characters; Caitlyn spends most of her time as the unsure slutty girl bouncing back and forth between the brothers.
In closing, I would recommend this book to anyone who reads MMA & also a bit of drama in the relationship department.

Omg

Okay that book was pure fighter romance goodness. I mean I had so much fun reading about the two brothers and their love triangle. This isn't a deep or complex read. Still it was super fun to read and salacious enough to keep the butterflies in your tummy!!

Trigger Warning: Cheating (outside of the love triangle)

Okay despite the title and the cover image, the book really wasn’t all that smutty compared to so many other books! It’s essentially a “step brother romance” trope with the main sport being MMA fighting instead of the usual hockey romance. The story was alright, there was an actual plot which was good, and I liked the way it ended, just not something worth re-reading!

Decent book! Love triangle is not too dramatic! Steamy scenes all around. The h Cat is young and confused. She has a lot going on and she makes mistakes. There are two guys she has to choose from, brothers which was a little awkward but with time it got better.

I like the story so much even if triangles are not really my thing. I fell in love with both the brothers and in one moment, I don't really know which one I was liking the most. The sunshine, Austeen or the dark side of the night, Logan. At the end I'm happy with the way thing went... But damn if now I don't want a lovestory for the other bro. 😄😄😄

Any positive feelings I had for this story were tarnished by events that took place around the 80% mark, then obliterated entirely by the cheesy parting pages that made me want to upchuck. What a shame. It had been going so well...

But first things first. Let me start out by talking about this stories synopsis; which was so misleading! I thought I was in for a story about a couple of brothers fighting over their new step-sister. It sounded like they were a couple of alpha-male cavemen that didn't know the meaning of the word 'boundaries' and spent their time teasing, and flirting shamelessly. It sounded like a good time! Something fun, hot, and a little dangerous perhaps. This was not the case. I've never felt more annoyed by a synopsis before, it's simply false advertising.

The story was about a Caitlyn; an eighteen year old who has just moved into her mothers new boyfriends house, that he shares with his two MMA fighter sons. They were both opposites - Austin, the eldest, was bigger, fairer, charming and undoubtedly the favored son of their father Duke. He was also a re-formed ladies man, who quickly set his eyes on Caitlyn. Logan was darker, brooding and quiet. Covered in tattoos with shaggy brown hair, he was the black sheep in his little family, but he was a tough fighter.

I liked both the guys and Caitlyn at the beginning of the story. And when Caitlyn started seeing Austin, I was into it. Though I never really felt their chemistry. This wasn't helped by the fact that large amounts of time were jumped between chapters, therefore their 'relationship' felt like it went from 'lets go slow' to 'where's the condoms?' real quick. But still, I wasn't hating it... until something infuriating, then weird happened. Suddenly two of the characters I couldn't stand, and the other I simply felt sorry for. (I'll let you work out who is who)

Things never really got better after that. In fact everything went to shit, with all of the characters. Even the parents! And then the ending was suddenly upon me, and no resolution had happened between the two characters who needed it. I was less than thrilled by the way this story ended, and the stories parting line felt cheap.

So to sum up, I'm disappointed and I wouldn't read this again. Nor would I recommend it, unfortunately. It's too bad, because it could have been so good.

I was given a copy of this book and being my first MMA stepbrother romance novel I was not sure what to expect however I was not disappointed at all let me tell you. Austen is confident and your typical older sibling whilst Logan has this inner turmoil going on and is quiet and reflective and more sensitive. I don't believe the boys were overtly rude or condescending to Cat they were just very self assured of themselves so perhaps that is part of being a MMA fighter and yes they both hurt her and broke her heart at moments in the story but I still secretly liked them.

The story flowed really well and you even learnt a bit about the terminology of MMA and I can honestly say I could have read a few more chapters at the end. Whilst the ending was neatly wrapped up I still would have liked to have seen a bit more family discussion in relation to the dynamic between Cat, her mum and her step dad - he was a very focus driven man and I would have liked to have seen him push Cat a bit more. There was a particular scene in the kitchen where their were tempers raised and Cat's mum reacted appropriately considering her past with Cat's dad but I thought it could have gone further and we could have had a bit more drama. I did not like her mum as a character, she was a very weak and needy women to me, she definitely played her daughter to her own tune and I was glad Cat finally came out of her bubble - she definitely in my eyes shone at the end of this story and made the right decision.

Logan and Austen were brothers but complete opposites in lifes expectations and outlooks all except for their interest in their new step sister to be, I did like how the boys were three and two years respectively older than Cat as their maturity was evident on the pages. They both played a part in shaping Cat and her journey to discovering what her life course would take and she also played an important role in those two boys making some hard decisions within their own family structure as well. I would have loved a scene between Logan and his dad at the fighting tournament - some parts of those sections I was angry and hurt for Logan.

A great story of young love, life decisions and standing up for what and who you believe in.

I think this title might be a little overstated, in that Cat's mom and Duke never get married in the story, so technically, she is not a step sibling to either Logan or Austen. Anyway...

I think what I liked the most about this book is how underplayed the character of Logan is. From the synopsis, it sounds like both brothers are openly flirting with Cat, but that is not the case. Logan is the exact opposite of his brother, the strong silent type. He was the underdog throughout the book, and you just couldn't help but root for him. This is actually unusual for me. I normally (when reading a love triangle) latch on the first romantic partner and really struggle to let that go. But in this case, I was so happy when Cat ended up with Logan.

The book was good. There were typos and editing mistakes which was going to force me to give it 3 stars, but the final scene and especially the final words, just tipped the book over the 3 star line. I loved the way the story ended!!!!

One other thing I liked was reading about Jui jitsu. My daughter has been taking classes in this and another form of karate, and it was fun to actually recognize some of the terminology as I read the story. Lol

I have read quite a few of this author's biker romances and this is the first MMA of hers that I have had the pleasure to read and it was so good!
I was worried about "just another stepbrother" book but technically, their parents weren't married (just living together) and the love triangle was actually really believable and turned out to be a very sweet/spicy story that kept me glued to my kindle.
I felt like the actions of the brothers were honest and happened in a truthful manner...brothers can be tough on each other and while they may fight hard for what they want, there is still a lot of love between them.
Mothers and daughters and their relationships (the good, the bad and the ugly) was also explored in this one and for the most part I really liked how things were resolved between all of them.
An enjoyable, sexy and fun romance with a lot of emphasis on the actual MMA matches and strong family dynamics.

Being eighteen isn't easy. Cat's not a child anymore, just moving into adulthood. She is drawn to two brothers, Austen and Logan, both MMA fighters and sons of her mother's boyfriend. One is charming and outgoing, the favored one. The other is serious and quiet, the overlooked one. One brother hints at a possible future. One brother makes her think about what she wants for herself, not to just do what is expected of her. In my opinion, the book blurb conveys the wrong impression of this book, making it sound very superficial when it's actually a deeper story. It doesn't accurately reflect the relationship between the characters. The relationship between the brothers is complicated. Cat makes some poor choices but all in all, this is an enjoyable book about a girl who, over the course of the story, is figuring out what she wants and growing to be strong enough to go for it. I loved it.

WELL !
let me start by saying that I was never one to go for a stepbrother love story, let alone a love triangle with step brothers !!!!

Celia freaking Loren you are a great writer (Lemme just put it out there real quick)
Cat : A very submissive 18 year old girl who just got two hot as hell brothers dropped on her head. What did annoy me though was her meek and shy personality. Maybe its just me because in reality I cant stand love triangles.

Austen : Hmm, Mr perfect ? Too good to be true, I kept speculating that there was something wrong with this picture... I was anticipating him to f*** up so bad so she would go running to Logan, and boy was I right.

Logan : Very quiet, Mr brooding ! Something about Logan's character kept me interested. Maybe I am just weird and love the silent type of men. GAAAHHHH SO HOT LOGAN SO HOT !

All in all good read, I gobbled it in 5hours.

WOW, I want these brothers in my life. Logan and Austen Riggins are training to be MMA fighters. Caitlyn is moving in with her mom and her new boyfriend Duke.
Caitlyn has an instant attraction to Austen. They start a secret relationship. Austen was known for being a player. The sneaking around for a few months finally gets to Caitlyn. While all this is going on, she gets closer with Logan. Logan is a bit more serious and is not often taken serious for his fighting skills.
Logan and Cat bond and get closer. She is fighting her feelings for him.
This story was hot. The scenes with Cat and Austen, OH MY!!! But then when she gets with Logan, even hotter!!
Yes, this is stated as a stepbrother story but they are not related in. any way.

I have to start out and say that if you are not a fan of love triangles and cheaters this may not be the book for you. I was intrigued with how this book started and can say that despite the downfalls it kept my attention. I finished reading it a few hours after starting it. Logan and Austen were interesting characters. Austen was the outgoing "Golden" boy while Logan was more quiet and reserved. The chemistry with Cat and both Logan and Austen was evident throughout the book but Cat to me was a little unsure what she wanted. When she finally decides, will it be too late? I wish the ending had an epilogue to say what happened after her choice was made and if they had any fall out from it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
