It's not easy finding great Excel books. Most offer the same information but presented in other ways. Often, typesetting issues and really poor writing are ubiquitous. And I also have other Jelen books. I wouldn't say I'm a disciple necessarily, and all books aren't as good as others, but this one is fantastic, as good as it gets. Easy to read. Packs so much information in a well-written and easy-to-follow format. If you're like me and you can't leave home without toting a couple of Excel books with you, always at the ready when you might need a little help solving a problem, this is worthy of being in the top 2. It is for me anyway. While no Excel book can completely cover the vast range of Excel's power, this book at least gives you the foundation (and much, much more) to find a solution to any problem you're challenged with. While you may not know exactly how to solve it, you'll at least know enough after reading this book to know where to drill down further, which isn't to say this isn't at the same time comprehensive. This is as detailed a book as can be that is also not a burden to haul around with you. I'm talking those behemoths that rival old New York City phone books that combined both yellow and white pages, the ones your grandmother needed help carrying across the room. Jelen's book is not this, and I'm thankful for it.

Excel 2016 In Depth is not only an excellent reference, but a methodical and well-organized step-by-step guide. Bill Jelen covered many of the features of Microsoft Excel 2016 that I was familiar with, but presented new (and easier) ways to accomplish those tasks. Of course, I learned a lot about Microsoft Excel 2016 that I didn't know, as well, so for that, I'm incredibly grateful. I'd love to sit in on one of Bill Jelen's live training presentations. In the meantime, though, I have this book. You should have it, too!
