Margaret Martin is a Physical Therapist with over 35 years of experience treating patients with osteoporosis, osteopenia and low bone density.

She is the author of three book on osteoporosis exercise, yoga and core strength. She also published a continuing education course for Physical Therapists on the treatment of patients with osteoporosis. The course has been completed by thousands of Physical Therapists in the United States and Canada.

Great information on safe ways to exercise if you have bone density issues. It really makes sense of the old adage "One size doesn't fit all" and Martin takes this into consideration thruout book. Esp. in the design of a weekly exercise routine for 12 wks catering to each person's bone density rating.
I'm glad i bought it and use it's info when i exercise to correct anything i was doing wrong in the past and to incorporate exercises designed to strengthen spine/bones into my routine.

This is a great resource. The glaring issue with it is that the website links no longer work. I think the digital copies could be updated with her new website as the information is still available if you search for it.

best book on exercise for stronger bones

I have reviewed all the books on exercise for osteoporosis and this one is the best. The author is a Physical Therapist who specialized in osteoporosis. The book has great illustrations and clear definitions.

Excellent book for creating a routine that includes strength, flexibility, and balance -- all based on verified research. The author's videos on YouTube are my go-to's for myself and my personal training clients. Martin makes complicated information easy to understand and actionable.

An exercise book for "better bones" written by a physical therapist. It is chock full of exercises and illustrations.
