The mystical, life-transforming path of the Tree of Life of the kabbalah has existed for thousands of years, yet until the publication of Miraculous Living no one has put forth its essence in a way that every person - regardless of his or her religious background - can put to use in his or her own life. Rabbi Shoni Labowitz guides readers on a spiritual journey through the Ten Heavenly Gates of the Tree of Intention, Wisdom, Understanding, Compassion, Strength, Harmony, Success, Glory, Creativity, and Nobility, so that people of all faiths and backgrounds can access the profound wisdom of the kabbalistic path. In Miraculous Living, Rabbi Shoni Labowitz maps out this simple path for receiving and creating miracles in one's own life. It is relevant both to those coming to the kabbalah for the first time and to longtime practitioners - anyone who cares deeply about rediscovering the richness of his or her spirituality and celebrating life. By accessing the ancient wisdom of the Tree, we too can enter worlds of splendor and joy, tap into the Divine pattern, and turn our most treasured dreams into wondrous realities.
This book isn't the kind you read once. I can't even count how many times I have read it! It is terrific for meditation purposes, just open to a page, and it will address what you need to hear at the time! Shoni's writing style is very accessible! I told my children years ago this was part of my ethical will. A book to be treasured!
I think this book was decently written and had good ideas but just was not for me. I am trying to push my beliefs and expand my traditional understandings but a lot of this Jewish-Eastern fusion theology/philosophy just does not jive with what I feel. I thought it was somewhat strange that every chapter also including a Lao Tzu quote, and that a lot of eastern practices were incorporated into a tradition that already has rich practices. I think my twin brother would love this and all the recommendations for meditations, thought patterns, and routines, but it just was not for me. I would appreciate learning more about Kabbalah from source texts and in a historic/analytical way I suppose.
This book is an amazingly beautiful, spiritual guide to living. I am reading it for the third time, taking a chapter every Saturday morning as part of my honoring the Sabbath. It feeds my soul in the most beautiful way, and I will read it over and over again. Rabbi Shoni was an amazing role model and teacher who helped change the role of women in religion. May her memory be a blessing. 🙏🏻❤️✨
