For the past five years, I’d thought I’d been living the perfect life, until my “perfect” man gets down on one knee and forces the fantasy I’d built to irrevocably shatter.
As the weight of my repressed sexuality battles with my desperation not to lose my best friend, I find a mysterious, magical card that leads me to three gorgeous supernatural women.
Emme, Lili, and Dari not only give me the most amazing night of my life, but also ignite a fiery hope that despite everything, I might still get to have my own perfect happily ever after.

Around 2.75 stars. This was cute! I own a couple books by the author, but this is the first thing I've read from her, because I was in the mood for something short to cleanse my palate. This was hot and sweet, the story of a closeted Nigerian lesbian finding love and friendship and getting her desires fulfilled by a poly triad of hot monster women. It's just that the story contained herein had room for so much more, and that fact that it's so short really didn't do it any favours, in my opinion. Like, we tackle some topics that really could have used more page time. So I think I would have preferred if this was just pure smut (and the smut was hot!) or if we got more serious and in depth with it. It also seemed pretty unpolished, which didn't help.
Still, I had a fun time with this. It's the third book in a novella series, but I understood it just fine, reading it as a standalone. I'm hoping that the author's longer work suits me more.
