First published in 1990, this is an account of the events before and during the early part of WW2 leading up to the fall of France in mid-1940. The writing is very impressive, but more than 200 well chosen illustrations are the high point of this book. Poor proof reading is evident in a couple of places, but the overall impression is very good.
