I worked for Leo Bellak around the time this book was published. When I read it then, I thought that although he had a point, it was a bit thin on examples of overload and presumptuous in suggesting that a committee be established to vet potential candidates to high political office. Picking it up again nearly a half-century later, following the Trump presidential debacle, amid wars, weather emergencies, the rapidly changing climate, I found it prescient. I was also surprised (amazed?) to see that Bellak was already pointing out issues of serious air pollution, climate concerns, prevalence of computers though, of course, not yet social media or AI.
