Sam darling is my hero, she opens her mouth before she things, so much like me. She loves and lives with her heart. I love the differant charactors in her life, Clancy, George and her siblings. Her penchat for finding trouble (or is trouble finding her? I am not sure, but i love the mystery and the magic and shenangins she gets her, and Heorge into seems neverending.
This novel has crime solving duo, Sam Darling and her fiancé George Lansing after a murderer in Henderson, Kentucky. The two sleuths are also preparing for their wedding nuptials in a couple of weeks.
Sam is thrilled when George asks her along on his murder investigation. They rush to the crime scene with trusty canine sleuth, Clancy to find a body fell off a train from a train car bearing the drawings of a Funeral Urn. Decisions are made at the police department to send George from Illinois to Kentucky to the site of the murder.
Sam is asked to just sit in on the interviews. Bored, she finds a workshop that she had a brochure from, in town. Rather than a mental health program, Sam finds herself in a pyramid scheme. Using her 'vibes' Sam and Clancy seek out the killer.
This series is filled with humorous moments, creative plots, and endearing characters. They are rather short tales so I zoom through them and then are sad the books are over. Give this series a try.
Sam and George investigate again when a body falls off a train, they go on their travels again to find who did it. They end up in Henderson, most people are called Henderson there so it gets quite confusing! I enjoy these stories, even though they end quite quickly. They are good for a quick read when you want to finish a book in 1 sitting, a little escapism!
