At last, a how to strategy for working nights AND still have a life.
Finally, good news for nurses who work nights.
If you are working or considering working night shifts and concerned about how to function at your best during work and your time off, this book has good news for you.
After several years working days I was skeptical returning to the night shift, and for good reason here are just a few of them: Night workers are prone to accidents They have a much higher risk for diseases like hypertension, diabetes, and cancer Sleep deficits can actually shorten your lifespan
The list goes on for longer than space here allows, but that last point really concerned me as I am willing to dedicate my life caring for patients, but at the cost of shortening my own???
So I researched, and tested methods to avoid the detriments of night shift work, and now I want to share them with you. Benefits found in this book include: How to build a schedule that actually works for you Learn to prioritize your family and friends over work and stop being pulled from every direction Rid yourself from that zombie trance-like exhaustion How to feel refreshed and stay awake, when all you want to do is sleep How to keep a healthy lifestyle working nights Energize yourself for work and play Learn tactics to sleep for a better rest
Since I employed these strategies, I can’t tell you the number of times I am asked why I have so much energy. Though let me assure you I am no different than anyone else, except I have through trial and error learned the secrets to a successful life working nights.
It’s about time this information got out to nurses working nights, and I have laid them out in a simple to read and straightforward book. Best of all I want to get this strategy out to as many nurses as possible by charging less than a cup of coffee.
Do yourself a favor and pass on that cup of java for this book, or better yet, sit down with a cup and this book and start enjoying the benefits of a better life. Help me make a difference in as many nurses by purchasing a copy as a gift for your nursing friends. Know a nurse who is graduating school? There is no better gift than learning to thrive working nights, they need this information.

Great information for anyone who is new to night shift work or juggles a lot of commitments while working nights.. I've been on night shift for around eight years and already apply most of these strategies to my life in order to function as normally as possible. Pretty sure I'm still a far cry from normal, but I enjoy both my work life and home life, so I think that's the ultimate goal.
