I knew I couldn’t run from him forever.

This is a story that appears to have been written without any research. I made it to about 48% and had to give up.

No way would anyone like the character Nick Stone be an MC VP. He is way too weak and soft. I barely have respect for his character and his MC brothers certainly don't in this story. He acts and is treated more like a prospect than a patched-in member.

The story just doesn't make any kind of sense. Tryg certainly doesn't act like an uncle. If he's 'family', Liana doesn't need enemies, and he kept mistaking and misreading everything....how did he end up as Prez?

After all the hate Helena spread about Liana why would she stay there? and then for Tryg to use the fact that she could be Nick's meal ticket if Helena divorced goes so against any MC code. They take care of their women.

ugh.

I'm on the edge of my seat!

I've read quite a bit from this author and I love her storytelling. She gives you just enough to keep you coming back for more. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This was a major disappointment and did not live up to its blog. Ridiculous amount of characters thrown out into the mix right at the beginning of the story; the VP of the MC was portrayed as a clown that none of its fellow members had any faith in and he was depicted as being way too young and he failed his first run. I am sure that the concept was a good one but was poorly executed.

You have a couple that has had a hard life, that have faced many difficulties, and yet they are so trusting and naïve that it just can't be real. The story could have been good, it had great potential, but I just couldn't believe the characters. I give it two stars for potential...

Lets see things that didn't make sense:

- Liana goes away looking for freedom, and goes back looking for security after her ex-boyfriends turns stalker. She goes away running from the MC her father was part of and her abusive step-father that wanted to control her, but when she runs away she goes back to where the MC and her past is, instead of going to her mother that lives in the other side of the country.

- Nick is the VP, he is supposed to be good at what he does, he grew up in foster homes and should know not to trust anyone, but when he is looking for some stolen goods he finds a woman that knows everything about him and he knows everything about her, he trusts her immediately.

- Liana's uncle suspects her to be a mole, and that she is the cause they got robbed, but she has never been part of the MC and knows nothing about it, she doesn't go to the clubhouse and doesn't talk about MC stuff, but it's the first suspect, why???

- When Liana gets a packet from her ex and gets a panic attack and needs to hide, they go to hide in the house of the strange woman they know nothing about, and even when she starts telling lies and manipulating people, they still trust her with Liana's life.

- No one asks how the ex found her so fast after she went hiding at the strange woman's mansion.

- When the bad guy goes to Liana's uncle and asks for her, he accepts, because his niece being terrified of a guy must be a lie, lets trust the corrupt cop. Why does he hate his niece so much?

- At the end, after Liana escapes her ex and Nick arrives to see a dead body being taken out and thinks is Liana (it was the strange woman that was working with the cop all along), when he goes after the cop trying to avenge her, he goes without a gun! Or any kind of weapon, why?

- When the cop is about to kill him two of the guys from his MC arrive to save him, and turns out that they found out everything while he was away, but why didn't they help him get out of jail? Or talked to him or something?

- They should have been smarter and more suspicious, they were played so easily is not even funny.

I've read a few of E. Glass stories and loved them, this one I didn't like mostly. A whole of woe is me all the time coming from both Liana and Nick, and the betrayal by her own family was mean and the possibility the Nick would sleep with another to get information and possible sugar mama to get him away from the only woman he has ever loved and hated, that was set up by her own uncle and then that said uncle will handle her over to a dirty cop that what's control of her like all the other men and stepfather in her life ever did, but he hits harder. It was to much self hated and self fighting for me.

Lord what a mess

Do not waste money this one. It was such a mess, such poor poor writing you wouldn't believe it.

And why this is a Dark romance I have no clue. No clue!

Just didn't do it for me

Please have more than one person proofread. The proofreader should not be an "average joe" but someone who is trained or experienced in catching the fine details. The book was an okay read. It just did not grab me.

This book seemed to be all over the place with the story. An MC who double crossed each other and turned there back on the VP with no loyalty at all and the VP who seemed like a teenage boy the whole way through. The whole book I just wanted him to man up.
