The HUNTER is the second book in Nicole Flockton's new series featuring the leaders of a Freemasons Lodge who do charitable work in order to fund a private goodwill mission. NF does a fantastic job with the mysterious edge to this story. The series is centered around the "Fab Four" as the four leaders of the Drysor Lodge are called and The HUNTER is focused on Dominic Cacciari, the Right Worshipful Master of their lodge.
The Fab Four of this Freemasons cause comes under the scrutiny and is threatened by local journalist, Gemma Hughes. Her father was once a Freemason, but was excommunicated from the group and then died under questionable circumstances. She is certain Dominic and his friends are at the heart of the dirty dealings and begins investigating them. As the leader, Dominic takes it upon himself to "deal" with her. Problem being, for both Dominic and Gemma, is they have an uncontrollable attraction for one another. It makes it rather inconvenient to truly be enemies.
Dominic and Gemma were really great together, good chemistry, banter, etc. The danger and mystery of the story are edgy and well-written. We also get more of the four men together which really highlights their close bonds that goes beyond friendship and set the stage for they upcoming books.
I'm looking forward to continuing with the Freemasons series. 4 stars

This was a great 5 star read.
Gemma is on a mission to get some answers. But when she meets Dominic, sparks fly and he is such a charmer. Dominic finds some things out about the mysterious Gemma. What exactly is she up to? Will Gemma get what she is looking for? Can she keep her heart out of it?
Overall this was a great read. I liked both characters very much. Dominic was a hot alpha male, he always seems to get what he wants. Gemma is great, she challenged Dominic and was strong herself. The chemistry between these two came off the pages. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. This is book two in the series. They are standalone so you can jump right in and read this one.
This is Dominic's story who is one of the leaders of the Lodge. We also meet Gemma who is trying to find out what happened to her father.
I liked both characters. They are strong willed and the chemistry between them is brilliant.

I found it to be an edge of the seat kinda read. Will certainly read more of this series.

This is book 2 in The Freemasons series. Even though it is part of a series these books can be read as a standalone which I love.
Wow where to start with this story. This is definately a book for you if you like alpha males with an equally alpha female. The chemistry between them both literally flys off the page. This is an enemies to lover romance so it is full of secrets and lies but the attraction cannot be denied.
Dominic is part of the brotherhood of the Freemasons. He has vowed to protect the brotherhood from any dangers including their secrets being revealed. What he didn't expect was danger to come in the form of a female. Now he must do everything he can to protect the brotherhood even if that means seducing and distracting the woman investigating them. But when did trying to seduce and distract turn into an attraction he can't deny?
Gemma is a journalist, so when her father dies in strange circumstances she goes on the hunt to discover the reason behind his death. What she doesn't expect is Dominic trying to get in the way of her finding out the truth. And as things between them become more serious what will happen if she ever really gets to the bottom of what happened to her father. Could it be one secret and lie too many or will their connection be strong enough for to move on?

Having read and enjoyed the first book in this series about a group of Freemasons, I was looking forward to this second instalment, and I was not disappointed. In this story, the focus is on Dominic Cacciari, who has sworn to ensure the integrity of the brotherhood of Freemasonry. However, he didn’t think this would include seducing the women who is determined to expose their secrets. Gemma Hughes is an entertainment journalist, and having lost her father under mysterious circumstances, she wants to find those responsible and get justice for her father. When her investigations lead her to the Freemasons, she’s suspicious as her father was once a member.
As soon as Dominic and Gemma meet their chemistry sizzles off the page, and once they touch neither can deny their mutual attraction, even though they both try to resist it. The more time they spend together the more the lines between love and what they are both fighting to protect become blurred. Secrets are threatened to be uncovered and danger lurks for the couple in this enemies to lovers romance. I was hooked from page one, and the plot kept me happily turning the pages well into the night. Although this can be read as a standalone story, I would personally recommend reading the whole series, as each book has been an entertaining and engaging read.

The Hunter is the second captivating book in The Freemasons series by Nicole Flockton. It is a wonderful enemies to lovers contemporary romance- with mystery, intensity, chemistry, danger, banter, secrets, tension, and finding love unexpectedly.
Book Two in the series definitely doesn’t let the team down! Giving Alpha Male hotness with a strong female lead to keep him on his toes. Gemma’s father died under suspicious circumstances, and her journalistic instincts can smell a story a mile off. She is determined to get to the bottom of her father’s mysterious death- and that leads her right to the Freemasons.
Dominic is on a mission to keep the nosy reporter from uncovering any of the organisation’s secrets. That means keeping her close. Add some steamy chemistry, a whole lot of secrets, and perilous danger- and we get a story that won’t let you put it down. Meaning I devoured the book in one sitting! On to Book #3…

I always like a secret society. And this book made me swoon. Having an Alpha like Dominic and a think a Alphaness like Gemma...made me want to read more. Nicole did it again in book 2. If deliciousness, suspense, and secrects make you want to read more...this is the book. I couldn't stop reading. I want to say so much, but I don't want to spoil it for readers. Have a bottle next to you while you read. It's that hot.

I enjoyed reading this romance book. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites. This is the second book in this series and it just keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life. They pulled me into their story with ease and held my attention to the end. There is great chemistry and growth throughout. A story where love and protection could be blurred together. What happens when those lines are crossed? I really enjoyed how the story had a realistic feel to it and I had no problem picturing myself with the characters. What happens in this story you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I knew this book was going to be just as addicting as the first one. Dom & Gemma are an enemies to lovers couple who burn up the sheets even as they both try to take the other one down.

This book in the Freemasons series focuses on Dominic, and how they came to be assisting getting teenagers off the streets, as well as their little secret ship shipments. Not only does this book focus on Dominic, but also Gemma, who thinks she has a book that shows illicit activities that Dominic's lodge is involved in. She threatens to bring down the Fab Four of the Perth area with this information as soon as she can figure out waht it all means. At the same time as this is happening, strange things are happening to her. Things that coincidentally started as soon as she started trying to become an investigative reporter and uncover the secrets of the Freemasons and the missing kids off the streets. What is truly going on will shock you. This is a book you may find yourself having a hard time putting down, but the ending is stellar! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. See what happens in this one, read it, enjoy it, cheer for it!

This story has a big "Wow Factor"! Dominic oozing with Alpha greatness and Gemma another female Alpha that wouldn't take no for an answer. This book was compelled with trust & lies that would break heart & soul between lovers. I greatly enjoyed this wonderful love story and for every chapter of the book it showed intensity especially of the unknown mystery behind Gemma's father's book that she found in his house after his death, & the sexual rawness between Dominic & Gemma was amazingly powerful. I also like the bantering between the main characters which made it more engaging to readers. This series is getting better & better!

This was a good book that kept me up past my very early bedtime, haha. When Gemma's father passes away under mysterious circumstances she fires up her investigative skills to find who was responsible. What was so secret that he had to die? Dominic Cacciari will do anything to keep Gemma from spilling the secrets of the Freemasons. There are things that should remain secrets from outsiders. But when their intense attraction for one another becomes too much will either party be able to resist?

Great Story!! The Hunter is Book # 2 in The Freemasons series and I am loving this series. I would recommend reading this series in order as characters in the first book continue into this second book of the series.
Dominic Cacciari will stop at nothing to protect the Freemasonary even if it mean to stop at a journalist, Gemma Hughes, who wants nothing more to expose this organization as she truly believe they are not only responsible for her father's untimely death but other things as well that are downright bad. Dominic has a plan....feeling like he needs to keep Gemma as close to him as possible even though she has it out for Dominic and his friends to expose what she believes are hard truths. When Gemma is threatened in more ways than one, Dominic will do anything to protect her...or does Gemma believe that Dominic is responsible for the threats against her just to keep her at bay?
This story was fantastic and it flowed so easily and I had a hard time putting this book down. I love Dominic and Gemma together....even though at first I was not a big fan her Gemma's character at all....but she grew on me and I ended up loving her. I love the details of secrets, lies, a brotherhood of men and some hot sizzling moments....I am looking forward to diving into book # 3.

This isn't the first book I've read by the author. The author sure knows how to keep readers coming back to her. I absolutely loved this book. Enemies to lovers has always been a favorite of mine. The Hunter is the second book in The Freemasons Series.
Dominic is the leader of the Freemasons and he's trying to figure out why Gemma wants to take down Freemasons. Then he finds her at a party she wasn't invited to. How will things work out for him when he finds himself falling for her? The quote I chose for Dominic is: “Doesn’t matter what you want, Gemma Hughes. You’re coming with me. End of story.”
Gemma goes to the party for one thing and one thing only. Take down the Freemasons. She knows she might lose her job over this, but it's a risk worth taking. Then she runs into the one person she didn't want to see. The quote I chose for Gemma is: “Well, it seems awfully convenient you happen to have a key to a hotel room. Plus, it looked like you were going solo tonight. Why is that? Dominic Cacciari is never without some brainless woman hanging off his arm.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

When Dominic and Gemma find themselves attracted to one another they’re determined not to let it go anywhere. Neither trusts the other but fate keeps throwing them together until it’s too late to see the difference between what they’re fighting for.
The Hunter is book two in the Freemason’s series and it’s absolutely heartwarming. Dominic’s protectiveness and Gemma’s sass make for a fun story. You find yourself rooting for them and hoping they both find the truth and soon.
There were a few parts that the story I found confusing but it was minor and a re-read and focus was all it took to get past it. While I think this book in the series can definitely be a standalone, I feel that there’s a good bit of information to gain by reading book one as well.

This book held its own, as the first book did! Loving this series so far, and I know that I will continue to do so! I love the author's writing style, and how they create the world and how the characters live in that world! It's very well done, complex at times, but realistic to a tee!
I enjoyed the story line between Gemma and Dominic! Great and strongly written characters. I especially admired Gemma. Very driven. Admirable. I love this series! The Hunter did not disappoint! I can’t tell you how much I love this author too! Book 2 in the Freemason Series was everything I wanted it to be.
Dominic has a mission. That mission is to find out what Gemma wants and stop her from achieving it. One problem is that he wants her. More than he’d care to admit.
Gemma is out to take down Lodge Drysor. Her estranged father is dead because of them, or is he? Gemma thinks she has it all figured out. That the Freemason’s are behind the sex trafficking trade. And she intends to prove it. What she doesn’t realize is Lodge Drysor is raising money to protect and stop abductions.
Does she realize she’s wrong?
Is her late estranged father the real monster?
The author put you right where The Victor leaves off. The story she writes for Dominic and Gemma is a huge rollercoaster of challenges, misunderstandings, and obstacles. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! Again I will say I love this author and if you like romances that have adventures between two characters that take you on a ride check these books out!

Again I will say I love this author and if you like romances that have adventures between two characters that take you on a ride check these books out!

Gemma Hughes is out to ruin the brotherhood and expose their secrets. The secrets she's looking to expose aren't the truth however they do have some secrets they do not want exposed.
Dominic Cacciari is there to try to shift Gemma away from their secrets and find out some info of his own. When they realize what Gemma is holding and how dangerous it can be, Dom decides instead of trying to seduce her, he will protect her as much as possible. Of course lines are blurred and they cannot fight their attraction to eachother. Gemma is a strong character and I never thought she could fall for Dom seducing her but, the chemistry is just to much to ignore. When the full truth is out, how will Dom and his brotherhood react to the news? Gemma finds herself In a situation that she may not be able to handle. She's out trying to uncover what she thinks will ruin the guys but she has it all wrong and she's holding important information that can end up getting her in deeper then she ever imagined.
I absolutely loved this series. Each book is better then the last. The characters are all amazing. The plot is great and there's plenty of heat to keep the reader waiting to see what happens next.

This is the 2nd book in a series which I’m truly loving right now. I jumped into this right after reading the first book in the series and I can say that I enjoyed this just as much, if not even more than the first one.
Set around 4 best friends who are all in authority positions in the Freemasons in Australia, each book can be read as a standalone. But, as I loved the first book I would recommend you read them all and in order so you don’t give yourself spoilers.

Gemma & Dominic are a pair that just can't deny the chemistry. They want to but can't. He runs The Lodge. She's an entertainment reporter looking into her father's death which she blames on him and his 3 buddies. Oh, let the drama begin. She has a grudge and threatens Dominic. He is just out to protect his investments and secrets. This enemy relationship slowly moves into friendship and more. An entertaining book that also covers some deep subjects such as sex trafficking. I loved watching the relationship develop between Gemma and Dom. Gemma is pretty independent and learns it's okay to ask for help. Dom has to learn to let the walls down. The storyline will touch all your emotions as Ava and Cole are in it as well. They share news. A quick and adventurous read. The suspense pulls you in. I couldn't put it down. You had to know what happens. I love this series. I can't wait to read Jude's adventures in the next book.

I truly love all the books Nicole Flockton has written thus far and this book is no exception. I love the Freemasons series because it gives me everything that I am looking for in a book - amazing characters who are incredibly relatable and a plot that sucks you in and leaves you wanting more (in the very best way possible).
The Hunter delivers on all these fronts. Gemma is everything I want in a main character - she has a problem she needs to solve and she is going to find love while she is at it. In this story she meets Dominic who is the head of the freemasons’ lodge and completely headstrong and domineering. The only problem is that Gemma is the same. This book had the perfect pull between two people who are falling for each other but know they shouldn’t be. Their chemistry just sizzles. I definitely recommend reading this book!

When Jemma tries to bring down the Freemasons on the misguided belief that they had something to do with the death of her father, she crosses paths with the leader of the local lodge, Dominic. When her life is put in danger, Dominic tries to protect her, even when Jemma seems determined to believe the worst about him. The couple tries to fight their growing attraction while also trying to figure out what the other knows about the Freemason lodge and their past and present activities where missing and exploited children in the area are concerned. Jemma believes that the Freemason lodge is behind the missing children, while the truth is the exact opposite. Dominic and his friends from the lodge are doing everything they can to figure out who is responsible not only for the missing children, but also for his friends missing sister.

The Hunter by Nicole Flockton is book two in the Freemasons series. This story was much darker than the first. Dominic has such a sense of mystery and domineering nature about him. And Gemma both intrigues and frustrates him. Gemma is a reporter and is trying to dig up information on Dominic’s Freemason Lodge. Though she doesn’t actually have any information on them. Dominic convinces (but not really) his friends that he’s only getting close to Gemma to find out what she’s up to. Little did he realize he’d start to fall for her. I loved these two together. The perfect mix of not supposed to be together and trying to be. This book had a lot more depth than book one and honestly I loved it! Finding out more of the story of the Lodges secret and getting a better feel of the guys in the Fab Four. Very excited to read book 3!

What does missing children and her father’s death have in common? The Freemasons, at in Gemma’s mind they do. Gemma is a reporter working to bring down a group she believes responsible for hideous acts. Dominic, the master of the lodge sets out to find out just what gemma knows about the lodge and his group of men. Along the way the two begin to have feelings for the other that they fight to deny and move on from; however, they just can not seem to. Will Gemma find the information she is hunting for? Will Dominic be able to protect those that are his responsibility? Will Gemma and Dominic continue to deny each other or find a way to make things work?
While this is the first book by Flockton I have read, I look forward to reading more of her work. The characters are well developed. I would recommend reading this book.

Nicole has given us a delicious enemy to lover's contemporary romance tale that is steamy and sexy and is full of fiery passion and angst, age old secrets and lies, lurking danger and mystery. I loved the characters, their banter and their hard-won feelings.
Dominic will stop at nothing to keep the secrets of the Freemasons just that – secrets even seduction at its finest of one pesky journalist that could threaten to destroy it all.
Gemma is bound and determined to find out what happened to her father even if it means exposing a secret society older that time.
I look forward to book 3.

This is the second book in this particular series from this wonderful author and I have to say I am totally hooked and can't wait to read more. It can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series from the start simply because it is that damn good! You really don't want to miss a thing. This book brings Dominic, the Master of the Lodge and Gemma, a journalist, together and to say it is fiery is an understatement! Their chemistry is off the charts!! They are both Alphas really and that makes for interesting reading for sure! As I have said before, there is a very fascinating storyline threaded through this book that I believe threads through the entire series and I can't wait to see where it will take us.

Dominic is the definition of intimidating and had no problem flexing to show how intimidating he can be. He will do whatever it takes to protect his fellow Freemasons and their secrets even if has to deal with Gemma.
Gemma is determined to expose the Freemasons for what they are, but has no idea what they really are. She learns things aren't always what they seem.
The tension between them in their first meeting showed me what I can expect from these two and they don’t disappoint.
I'm really looking forward to reading the next book for a few reasons, one is because Jude is the next one to fall and I have a special place in my heart for guys that share my grandson's name.

I was excited to start reading this book give how good the first was and book 2 certainly did not disappoint. The chemistry between the character in this book was obvious from the start and it emanated from each interaction. I love an enemies to lovers story and this is easily one of the great ones.
The story fit well with the characters, keeping pace with their strong connection. I was pulled into the story and everything going on. I wanted to see how things were going to work out. This is an author I have become increasingly familiar with and I always enjoy her work. If this series keeps going the way it is hen it is shaping up to be one of my favourites of hers for sure.

Dominic has his work cut out for him with Gemma who is on a warpath to prove her point in this enemy to lovers addition. We catch glimpses of Cole and Ava from book one which made my heart sing. I am really enjoying this series with its strong characters, steamy romance and the underlying story line that the author has cleverly interwoven throughout the books. Looking forward to Jude’s story next.
