To sum it up, a day or two after I finished with this book, I couldn't remember if I read it all the way to the end or just quit reading it. That's how memorable it was. Shallow characters and plot. Our heroine was meant to be a well loved, independent young woman, but my interpretation was more like trashy, self-obsessed, (and kind of a ho), twit. She was ridiculously adamant about something in one chapter, then does exactly the thing she says she would never do in the next. She says she understands J's need to not disclose club business, but in the next breath fighting with him for not telling her anything. She goes back to the Club after swearing she never would, to care for the daughter of a murdered friend and sees her twice. She's never going to drink again, sober for three years, next chapter... she's drunk. A specific point is made about how J's sister hates her, but they get along fine. And everything is a continuous repeat. Their arguments, their predicament, the "danger", and their sex scenes - which J didn't even need to participate in because Madison seemed fine on her own. I am all for no-holds-barred in the bedroom, but change it up for Pete's sake. That's not erotica, that just masturbation. And she's supposedly in all this danger, even the residence of the Club's leader isn't safe, but J leaves her alone constantly. The writing was all over the place, making specific statements about secondary characters and then no follow up. I am guessing that is the set up for future sequels but nothing connected. A lot of dissociated drama with stringy direction. Over all I was board and kept watching the page count, waiting for the end. I had to check, but I did finish it.

STORM MC#1 is the debut book of Nina Levine that focuses on Jason Reilly, a member of the Storm Motorcycle Club and Madison Cole, daughter of the president of Storm. Madison’s life and family is Storm. Besides having Marcus, her father as the president, her brother, Scott is the VP. She grew up surrounded by bikers, crime and violence.

Storm starts off with Madison living in a new city, new life and new friends. Two years prior, a tragic event greatly affected Madison. With her new life, Madison regains some semblance of a new fresh start but when danger threatens the club and her safety, she is asked to return back home to the club. And the person who is sent to pick her up is no other than Jason aka J.

storm

Jason Reilly is a member of Storm MC, a club that he calls family. His life was built on Storm and when a trouble came knocking on the door, J was asked to make the biggest sacrificed he had to make for Storm.; To walk away from the love of his life Madison. Unbeknownst to Madison for the reasons why J ended their relationship, she was left heartbroken. Two years has passed and J is assigned to return Madison back home.

storm2

Reunited, Madison and J’ s attraction to one another is palpable. Their relationship can only be described as a roller coaster filled with so many ups and downs. Storm is the perfect title for this book. This book was packed with so much drama, angst, sexual chemistry and danger that it can only be described as a perfect storm. When you think, the danger and threat was solved another one arises so Ms. Levine definitely keeps her readers on the edge of their seats.
storm6

My Thoughts:

The only issue I have with the book it was too fast paced. I wanted to know more about Madison and Jason’s relationship when they first became a couple. I needed more insight on their history and why their connection was so strong. Besides being fast paced, I couldn't fully connect with Madison. There were times she was a tad bit annoying but I was able to overlook that considering of what she had been through.

Overall, I think Ms. Levine did an excellent job for her debut book. She was able to capture and give readers an inside peek of the ins and outs of a motorcycle club family. As for Jason, he made the book. He was sexy, domineering, bad ass, and total alpha male. Nothing can stop Jason when it comes to protecting Madison. It was clear that he meant business and will go at all cost to ensure the safety of Madison. As for Madison and J’s relationship, their sexual chemistry and passion was SCORCHING HOT!!

Storm had lots of great secondary characters from Griff, Scott, Serena, Blade and Nash. But hands down, Nash was my favorite. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Levine has in store for these hot alpha members of Storm. So if you are looking for a quick and sexy read, go read STORM. Hop on and the members of Storm MC will take you on a wild ride through the dangerous, thrilling, chaotic, and fast paced adventures of their lives.

This is book #1 in another series about a Motorcycle club. This club is called Storm, and after reading this book I think this series has definite potential to become a very exciting series. This first book though, did kind of fall just a tad short for me. It did capture my attention at times; but for the most part the couple that was the main characters in this particular book, was just so so for me.

Madison Cole is the daughter of the Storm MC's president, and she has grown up around the club and its members all of her life. After experiencing a traumatic experience, as well as a battle with alcoholism she left town and a man behind. Jason Reilly was no stranger to the turmoil that alcoholism can bring to a family; and with the life changing event that him and Madison experienced, plus her battle with booze he wanted out of their relationship too. Fate has other ideas though, and years later Jason is asked by his club president to go bring Madison home. This begins an explosive reuniting between this couple...whether it be arguing or sex, these two do not lack for passion! I have to say that Jason may be Alpha male, and extremely possessive, but he also has a very soft side when it comes to Madison. I fell in love with him very quickly, especially with how he stood up for his woman many times...Gotta love a man who is protective! Madison on the other hand, I could take her or leave her. She did not inspire a rush of good feelings within me. She was just kind of in the story as far as I'm concerned. Some things about her kind of irked me, and there were many times when I felt like she was just way too hard on Jason.

All in all, this was just and ok read for me. I do feel, it has set up an interesting series to come though. There are a lot of other characters who we were introduced to that I am very eager to get to know better! Next up is Madison's brother Scott, and I can say that I KNOW his book is going to be way better!!! So, I will continue with this series and my fingers are crossed that I won't be disappointed with what Nina Levine brings to the table!!!

This was okay, but Madison annoyed me. I find it hard to believe that someone who was raised in the MC lifestyle - someone whose father is the PRESIDENT of the MC no less - would have "trouble" with some of the things Madison fell apart over. This was mentioned in several friends' reviews, but it's very true and worth repeating. Her constant whining and dramatics kind of irked me and I had a hard time to connecting to the story.

And PS YUCK on the cover lol

Storm by Nina Levine is filled with scorching passion and out of this world panty melting Lust, with capital L. The sexual tension between main characters is almost impossible to handle without not needing to change panties more than once. Filled with fuck me moments and desire, Storm is explosive start of new biker series that is totally overpowering and steamy.

img

Fans of Bella Jewel’s bikers’ books will immensely enjoy Storm, as well as every other girl looking for erotic novel with great dose of dirty sex. Unfortunately, readers that look for a little bit more than smut, could feel slightly unsatisfied . This book is just too short to completely sweep you of your feet with incredible romance or depth. There are some small plot holes or just few shallow aspects, yet I had spent a really nice evening with Jason and Madison.

img

Overall, Nina Levine mixed criminal, dark and gritty MC world with second chance romance, which is incredibly sensual and erotic. She’s also not bad at creating scorching hot scenes that made it really hard for me to stop reading. The phenomenal sensuality and kinkiness is fantastically mixed with fast paced, crazy ride, full of wonderful surprises and sexy times that’ll make your insides wrench, melt and jump in ecstasy. So, if you are a fan of quick ‘melt your panties’ read, check out Storm for sure!

“Some people showed their love with gentle and tender movements; Madison and I only knew one speed in everything we did in life. And doing it all together, we fit together perfectly in our imperfect love.”

The good: Decent plot and story line. Okay characters and pacing.

The bad: I wanted more plot and character development.

My thoughts: As a self-obsessed MC reader and hot biker lover, while I did like this book it was more so just an okay read for me that didn’t exactly stand out from all of the previous MC books that I’ve come across.

While I do commend the effort in the writing and events, what snagged it for me was the stale pacing and the constant (or should I say redundant) implications that are brought up by the female protagonist over and over about her man and the club. You would think that growing up in the biker world as the MC president’s daughter she would have been conditioned for this BUT she isn't and it affects her relationship with her family and biker beau.

As for the male protagonist, he was smexy but with no real stand out personality. He did have that alpha possessive attitude going on which is something that I love but I wish that there was more to him than what was just presented.

Over all though, criticisms and all, a steamy and exceptional story!! I liked how no matter what Ms. Levine kept the basic MC elements alive in this book as although I hate to admit, the MC world is a male dominated world where women have no real status or say in their world aside from being easy pussy or trophies to stand by their men.

I also liked the background chemistry of the two main characters. I enjoy reads where the characters meet at a young age and become friends and bloom into lovers. The only problem though for this couple was the miscommunication which stems from the MC club rules which drives many wedges between both characters.

So my verdict: An delicious and delightful read that I would recommend to all of you who love hot motorcycle men who have alpha heathen tendencies!! I’m sure that most of you ladies will fall in love with J and will now mark him as your new book boyfriend!!

Since this obviously looks to be a series, I hope for Madison’s brother’s story to be next or most especially, Nash’s story to be book two!! I LOVED the perverted Nash!! He’s my fav!! <3

I'm not going to write much of review here. I did finish it, and it was somewhat entertaining. The writing really was not very good. But mostly I didn't like the characters. The heroine, Madison Cole, was very immature and winey. Almost bordering on bratty and childish, she was actually quite irritating really. And the hero was an asshole most of the time. Not that I mind a good asshole every now and then. But this guy didn't have the charisma that makes his asshole tendencies desirable.

But I have to admit... I am a little curious about the second book, Fierce. I'll probably wait a bit though, too many other good books on my TBR list. Maybe I'll get back to it on a rainy day!

Storm just didn’t work for me. I enjoy MC romance and I like it dark and gritty. Storm was just that but the problem for me was the heroine Madison. She didn’t do anything for me. She just irritated me. Her relationship with Jason felt superficial and only felt sexual too me. I would’ve like more background history to their past relationship. What I got was just the cliff notes. The story was fast paced which I didn’t mind but I never felt I got a deeper connection or knowledge to the characters.
Book 1 Storm was a miss for me but I think I’m still going to try book 2. A couple of characters caught my attention and I’m hoping they’ll do better than this one. I have faith.

In the words of Patton Oswalt, "I'm drunk, so let's go".

At the beginning of Storm I had high hopes. I liked Madison and enjoyed her blunt take-no-prisoners outlook on life. The background characters were interesting, the premise was strong and the grimy grit of biker life was on display.

I also enjoyed the 'second chance' aspect of the story, particularly when Madison's conflicted ex showed up and well...they had exactly the kind of problems people who split on nasty terms yet are forced to interact with each other again actually have. Yes there was drama, but it was human and believable. At times both Madison and J (her ex) acted like petulant children, but having been in that exact situation I know that's how one tends to behave, so I was intrigued rather than repelled by the bickering/desire/denial I read. For the first third, I was flipping pages.

However, there are some serious flaws in how Storm is put together, and they derailed my enjoyment. Round about the halfway point, I pulled a Willow-says-bored-now and closed my Kindle.

Flaw The First: There is near-zero effort to put this story in Australia beyond a few place names. The dialogue, narrative and behavior of the characters is almost completely American, other than use of "Mum" to refer to somebody's mother and the occasional substitution of "s" for "z". For all I saw in the text Storm could've taken place in my hometown. Which leads to my second problem...

Flaw The Second:: There is likewise near-zero character/scene description. While I like a book which gets right down to business and doesn't waste time on unimportant details, I do need to know where I am and what the people involved look like at least a little bit. Other than a few (very generic) details about the main two characters (she's a brunette, she has nice legs and great tits, he's all jacked-up and...well, that's about it) We are given nothing about what the support characters look like. This tendency got so bad that I had to put the book down for want of confusion as to where the action I read about was taking place.

Flaw the Third: Way. Too. Many. Characters. Way. Too. Much. Backstory. I am aware that this is the first book in what becomes a long-running series, but some kind of plot arc and action are necessary. Storm doesn't really have one. The "action" consists of Madison

A: whinging about her conflicting feelings regarding J (which to be fair was well-done at first but got repetitive right fucking quick)
B: running into all her old friends and thinking about who they were (at which point the action stopped so we could hear aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll about them)

...And oh yeah, since this is a dual-perspective book, the male lead J does the same damn thing. I threw in my towel after a freakin' FIGHT SCENE got put on pause so he could "ruminate" on relationship drama.

This is not a book. This is an extra-extra long prologue, and I almost hate rating it as poorly as I am because with a few tweaks this could've been really great. Madison hooked me as a female lead, and while Jason could be an asshole at times it was never without reason. No guy is 100% when dealing with an ex he still wants to bang, and unlike a lot of novels I've seen which have used this premise Storm actually gets that part right.

If there had been equal attention paid to description and character action as there was to character's emotions, feelings and relationships to one another Storm would've rocked my face. It would've kicked ass and took names.

But as it is, Storm comes across as that annoying friend who just won't stop bitching about their relationship. Sure at first you're sympathetic and you want to hear more, but after an hour you want to stuff a sock in their mouth...because after an hour, you've heard everything they have to say five times over and you're bored with listening to it.

Fortunately, with books that pull this particular move all one has to do is close them. Which, at the 54% mark was exactly what I did. Sorry, but Man (and a story) cannot run on feelings alone.

I finished it because I can't stand to dnf. But oh boy did I want to dnf this one. The writing wasn't coherent at all, jumping from one situation to another without smooth continuation, leaving me so confused. For example in one paragraph the heroine is sad, in the next sentence mad, the next sentence horny and at last she decides to stay even though she swore she never would. Like in the previous paragraph. I'm all into changing your mind and living the life you want but I need some consistency. Because of that I believe that the heroine was acting like a spoiling brat and don't let me start about the hero.

4 Recovery Stars

Enough already. Madison has had enough. There are times when you reach the end of your rope and like that cute kitty in the poster, you just have to tie a knot in it and hold on. Tight.

Will you be alright here while Scott and I deal with the body?

That sentence was the final straw. She had had enough. When someone says that sentence to you..."deal with the body"...yeah, that's a signal your life is off the wheels. Madison was raised in the Storm Motorcycle Club. Her dad was the president, her brother and boyfriend in the club and doing what MC guys do. Be bossy alpha males. She could not understand how her mother put up with the not knowing, the secrets. All of this lead her to alcoholism, her depression and eventually a body to deal with. And with that last sentence, she snapped. And moved away.

She has now made a life for herself in another town and is happy. Happily numb but in recovery from her alcoholism. In recovery from her hurt. In recovery from the secrets she grew up with.

Jason loved Madison but let her go because he know that she was one step away being another body to deal with. He is sent to bring her home now that things have gotten so bad that she is not safe even away from the club.

Jason and Madison fight. They fight their past, their feelings, the club's rules and secrets. But the recovery. That can be so sweet.

But babe, we all have days like that. It's how you handle it now, and the next time it happens, that counts. And, I need you to know that I ham here for you. I want to be the person you turn to when shit get real.

I love a good Alpha Male Motorcycle read. This is one is good and promises to get better.

Love Me a biker..full review to follow..

3.5-4 Stars

Let me start by saying I LOVE BIKERS.. I love their lack of full sentences..I love their possessive, you are mine attitude. I think they are sexy beasts that embody the alpha male. Things I don't like, cheating fucktards and J isn't one..So I love J!

[image error] photo eaa78cb1-b1d7-4271-84d7-ceb02bba3e93_zps74152fe8.jpg

Living amongst the MC lifestyle your entire childhood, teens and early adult life isn't easy. There is trust issues, looking over your shoulder and secrets kept. All of things are true for Madison. She was raised deep in this style of living, her father being the President and his mother his faithful companion. She falls in love with a prospect and knowing that the choices that can come with that falls hard. J and Madison have a great first love that hits a brick wall..after that all of the consequences lead to Madison having to leave and start anew.

[image error] photo 9b6b9f75e58157aa709a8a6bcb5030bf_zpscf7d6dfb.jpg

The book begins with Madison, sober and living far away from the MC and her family. She has found new friends and a life that she loves. The one thing she doesn't have is true love and respect. She fucks..no feelings, no second date and no "I love you". This is what she thinks she wants.

[image error] photo 7cd057a3c5d0eb7a0f7ae470bd4c4694_zpsd60a68e4.jpg

A phone call, a body guard and her life changes yet again! One look was all it took to come flooding back. Finding your way back to the true feelings that began a lifetime ago is not always the easiest path to navigate. Love can usually conquer all..

I'm totally loving this MC!!! I started backward accidentally, and started the spin off series first, and really got into it but it left me needing so much more since it ended with a cliffhanger. So, I jumped straight into this one and I'm loving it.

The books themselves aren't too long, well this one wasn't anyway. But the perfect read to really get into and read real quick that locks you in and makes you want more.

This book was about Madison, the daughter of the president of the Storm MC and J (Jason) her ex boyfriend/love of her life/member of her father's MC. Years ago things happened that J and Madison just couldn't seem to come back from. Then, one thing led to another the situation just seemed to get worse and worse until finally Madison left everything she had ever known before and made a new life for herself. She's happy now, made new friends and a new less dramatic life. However, the past comes back to haunt her and her club wants her back at home for her own protection. And they send J to bring her back. She fights him at every turn but once she finds out the entire story she knows there is no way she can't NOT go back.

I loved J. At times, Madison got mad at him for not telling her stuff. But isn't that sort of a biker thing??? Normally, I would be totally on her side that they need to be open about things, but in biker world I seem to take a different frame of mind and argue this with her...I know that makes me crazy but I can't help it. Other than that, I really fell in love with both Madison and J. She was bold, and sassy and definitely spoke her own mind. J was hot hot hot, with the dirtiest of mouths, but knew what he wanted and made sure that not only did he get her, but was determined to protect no matter what.

The ending was so sad to me, lol, I just wanted a little bit more, but I've discovered that they have their very own novella so that totally makes up for the rushed ending for them. I can't wait to continue this series, it has been a MC treat for me. :)

Storm is the first book in the Storm MC series and for a debut novel it was good. I think my problem is I've read so many MC books that I've become picky about things and I just wanted that little bit more. Saying that I will be reading the rest of the series as I'm intrigued where Nina Levine with take it and what boundaries she's willing to push, because as we all know MC books are never Hearts and Flowers.

Capire come fare a riorganizzare i sentimenti.

Some people showed their love with gentle and tender moments; Madison and I only knew one speed in everything we did in life. And doing it all together, we fit together perfectly in our imperfect love.

This one waaaasss.... okay. Just okay.

I only have time to sneak in shorter novels these days because of all my work and because I missed reading about biker dudes, I decided to go for this one. The blurb seemed promising enough but as always, it hyped up the story for me and placed certain expectations. Like I said, this one was just okay. Not that bad for me to hate it but definitely not good enough for me to rave about it. It's one of those shallower biker story lines that just doesn't suck me in and make me feel enough. I think I finished it because it was a light reading for me. Light in the sense that I only breezed through it and didn't get stressed or worried or any other kind of strong emotion.

In my opinion, the downfall of this story was the main heroine. She was not likeable nor relatable AT ALL. For a 29-year-old seemingly independent gal, she appeared more like 18 years old to me. The guy was hot. But I guess that's all there is to it. They're crazy about each other but their love story barely scratched the surface. So did the rest of the plot with the whole MC and other supporting characters.

SO what did I actually liked about it? It was a quickie and light read. Not sure if I'll recommend to this to other biker novel fans but I can definitely imagine some who'll end up liking this.

Not my jam

This couple could have been something epic. The way that their history was set up this could have been passion and angst and just amazing ness. Instead we got rushed and messy and wishywashy. I’m so bummed because this is the start of a long series that could have been so deep with so much growth but instead it just feels stilted.

With the love of Biker novels, this was certainly a must read for me. Nina certainly gave us a pack of a punch story full of romance, heartache and a smart mouthing hilarious good time.

We are met with Madison who has escaped her past from family and friends who are involved in a motorcycle group. When things got bad she rang away to start a new part of life for herself.
As they say most times, when you run, your past will somehow catch up with you. This certainly was the case for Madison when her ex Jason aka J comes to protect her from future harm. With things not going so well when they broke up, Madison starts to question, does she still love J.

Throughout the story we are given insight to her past that is hard to forget but also dealing with the fact that the motorcycle club is apart of her life no matter what she does. When secrets are unraveled, you start questioning who can you trust.
With this said, we are met with additional characters throughout that add that extra spice to the story. From her bestie Carmen, the bestie that everyone would want into their lives as she always had the right things to say in her own quirky away, then to her brother Scott and her parents.

:Love both points of view through the story as it gave a better insight into certain scenes. The never ending feeling of the one that got away returns, you feel the emotion through the characters view and you get the feeling that there is unfinished business and untold confessions.

I loved this man with all my heart; he had shown me that even though life can be a bitch, love can get you through any storm.

A perfect Debut Novel by Nina into the Motorcycle Series but also looking forward to the additional books into the series about Scott and the other characters.

I see great things coming for Nina Levine. She knows her sizzling scenes! I really thing that this series will get better and better. I know it's sometimes a lot to come up with different characters in a book knowing you are laying foundation for future stories for those characters. I loved Jason. He was super yummy. Now Madison irritated me a lot. I seemed to have a lot of questions during this book and I hope that the next one has a better flow and more information supporting the plot. I wanted to know more about Madison's relationship with Blake. Why were they so close? I will definitely read the next installment and really want to thank Nina for letting us review her first book.

Really sexy.

This is my first book by this author, and even though I had some issues with it, it had great potential, so it won't be my last one.
I've been planning to read this series for a while now and it's promising.
This is a second chance romance mixed with MC and brother's best friend/best friend's little sister.
Jason "J" and Madison have an explosive relationship. They are volatile, have good chemistry and they are fire together. In more ways than one.
They argued a lot and most of the times I wasn't a fan of how J dealt with things and treated Madison. Don't get me wrong, he was never violent, but for a couple that had so much history, I expected something different.
There were times I even questioned if they were the right fit for each other.
But somehow they made it work, thankfully.

The plot was fast paced and interesting, but some scenes seemed a little disconnected. Yet, I was hooked to the story.

I'm really intrigued by the secondary characters and I'm jumping right into the next book.
I have a good feeling about it.

Nina Levine has done a SUPERB job at writing her debut Storm. I have to say that I was mesmerized right from the first page till the last page. I love the MC world and I love me some bikers and this story had me reading late into the night waiting to see what happened and then the last chapters really spiked my heart rate and I was like WTF??????? But then the ending HOLY MOTHER LOVER......

Madison Cole is the princess of The Storm Motorcycle Club. Her father is the President and her older brother Scott is the VP. She lives the life hard and fast and she loves it. She would not change her life for nothing in the world but the life of crime and violence and something else has Maddy running from that life. She loves someone she can't have because of who her father is and what that person means to the club so she decides she needs a change and she walks away from the life.

As Maddy enjoys her job and her new friends things get a little crazy and a threat comes to her front door and her brother wants her to come back to the club so they can protect her. She is hesitant at first but she knows she has no other choice. So she waits for the person who is coming to retrieve her and bring her back to the safety of the club and her father.

When she answers the door her world comes crashing down because the one person that can take her world and shatter it in a matter of seconds is standing in the doorway looking at her like he does not want to be there picking her up.

Jason AKA J is designated by The President and VP of the club to retrieve Maddy. He does not want to because they had something and then they didn't but thinking about her got his blood boiling because underneath it all he still feels the pull to her and taking one look at her eyes J knows she still feels the same. But how could they be together because she ran and he gave her up for the sake of the family his family the club.

Together J and Maddy will rediscover what they had and they will have to fight like hell to keep her safe and sound and get her back to her family safe. Can J do that or will Maddy get hurt? Is J willing to fight for his Maddy and they have the HEA or will their world stay crumbled......
