Mist of the Morning

Rate this book
In this, the fourth book in the Aussie Sky Series, Misty Clements faces a disturbing secret, a dying brother, and a difficult decision. Misty has always been clumsy. Even as a child growing up in the circus she was accident prone. So why can she balance perfectly on the back of a cantering horse? Roy Haydeen can't work out if she is extremely clever and manipulative or if she is as lost and alone in the world as she seems. But he could never have guessed the secret Misty is hiding from him, the secret that's keeping her from God and threatening the future of everyone she loves. The Aussie Sky series includes six novels about a lovable ex-circus family and the lives they touch. Each novel focuses on a different member of the unusual, horse-crazy Clements family, their struggle to fit into everyday Aussie life and their relationship with God.

Another "MUST READ" from this author. Have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this Young Adult series. The spiritual themes in each one are excellent. The characters are honestly portrayed with the ups and downs of life, and SHOW the working out of faith and commitment to Christ very realistically.

I absolutely love the Aussie Sky series. It’s well written and engaging, and I feel like I got to know the Clements family well as I read this series. Misty is definitely my favourite, she’s just so sweet and kind to everyone.

Just one chapter before bed. That's what I said to myself. It didn't work at all well. All the books in this series are page-turners, but this one was unputdownable. It's grabbed me more than any of the others. The mystery of Misty's extreme clumsiness coupled with her equally extreme agility and nimble adroitness was a real hook.

I also love the small scenes and references that link the story to other books in the series. Little things happen that connect the world of the Clements' siblings together in a lovely tapestry. Roy was a refreshingly decent guy. His Christian journey as well as that of Misty is a counterpoint to their growing romance.

A wonderful Christian YA contemporary in a series that keeps on giving.

Misty loves her family to the point of taking on unnecessary pressure, dangers and secrets all by herself. Then again, her brother is dying and one difficult decision to protect everyone she cares about pushes her into desperate measures 🥺❤️‍🩹

Clumsy on the ground yet perfect on horseback, Misty’s journey is utterly heart-wrenching, and I wouldn’t change a thing. And between her past, her family, and Roy, Misty’s story clings to you as she tries so hard to do right by those around her.

Sisterly love, hilarious stumblings, and precious heartfelt moments, this book only deepens this gorgeous series further 🥰 God continues to move and bring light into moments of hopelessness and heartache.

I will cherish this novel for eternity. Yet another amazing addition to this precious series.
