5 STARS – Each book in this series just gets better and better!

I was once again totally swept away by this story and trust me when I say that if you’ve loved this series up till now, you’ll be nothing short of thrilled with Devouring Raine. We continue Dex and Raine's yummy love story in Devouring Raine, Book #5 in one of the hottest series I've read in a while. The entire 69 Bottles series has possibly some of the steamiest, kinkiest, filthiest, most erotic sex scenes I have ever come across. Devouring Raine is a book I devoured in every possible way. Dex and Raine's HEA was fantastic and just left me with a huge smile on my face.
I had no doubt I would love this book, and cannot praise it enough for the way it fused scorching, tantalizing erotica with heart-warming romance. This book pulled on my emotional strings multiple times, leaving me a little teary eyed at times. It hit me in the gut, and I wasn't prepared to be so invested in these characters and their relationship. What a joy to read! So much fun! So damn sexy! And off the charts KINKY! I applaud Ms. Derrick for being so consistent with this series. I've enjoyed my time with all of these characters so much!
Ghosts of the past threaten a new relationship. Dex and Raine have gone through quite a bit already, and now we know that was just the beginning. While these two are diving into a lifestyle change and going through the journey together, exploring new things, testing their limits, the past is threatening everything they have built. Their foundation is crumbling with every bomb dropped. They need to trust each other more than ever to get through it in one piece.
Everything is intensified in DEVOURING RAINE. The emotions are higher. The kink is kinkier. The sex is hotter. The passions are deeper. Everything is kicked up a notch!
I love this series so much because there is so much more to it than the main characters. The secondary characters play a big part in each book and yet it doesn't take the attention away from the leading lady and hero. It is a bunch of stories in one and that just makes me flip through the pages even faster. Ms. Derrick is doing a FANTASTIC job with this series and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Oh what to say about this book, only one thing comes to mind. Absolutely Perfect. Raine Montgomery works for Bold, a PR firm for celebrities and she is assisting Addison on the 69 Bottles tour. With Dex Harris, drummer for the band, Raine is learning what she wants in a relationship and Dex is all to happy to help her. As they get closer and their feelings become more, they have to deal with crazy people after Raine. When her apartment is vandalized, all Dex wants to do is control everything, that way she doesn't have to worry about anything. But Raine has been independent for many years and she is not sure she can hand over all the control over her life. In this story, we learn more about her past, her family and why she came to LA all those years ago. When her past comes back to haunt her, can she survive with Dex there to help her? Will Dex be able to keep her safe?
This story had me laughing, crying, squirming in my seat and wanting to read more when I knew I needed to sleep. It is perfect and if you haven't read the series yet, please start it soon, you will not be disappointed. Another awesome story from Zoey Derrick, she is an automatic go to author for me, I will read anything she writes.

This was very close to a 5 star read for me so I had to go with that. It had everything this girl loves. Hot rock star, and of course a drummer, I mean really it's all about that beat! And of course he is one hot Dom that finds his one love that gets him over his addiction. A bit of drama on the way and a perfect HEA. What's not to love?!

I love their story even tho I’m again not a fan of the BDSM. But I had to know their whole story. I was fine with it until he went into being her dom and would call her a slut. I don’t know why but that bothers me. Not a fan of it. But other than that I love their story.

I am absolutely loving the 69 Bottles series by Zoey Derrick. Devouring Raine is the conclusion to Dex and Raine's story and must be read after Taming Dex.

I loved the deep connection between Dex and Raine. The sex between these two is off the charts!! The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. I loved catching up with the rest of the band. I can't wait for the next book in this series!!

Wow. Holy shit. Fuck me. This was by far the hottest 69 Bottles book to date. The conclusion of Dex and Raine's story was sexy but also exceedingly romantic and sweet. Who would've thought Dex could pull off loving and tender after what we'd seen in the first 3 books of the series? Raine is his soul mate, and brought out a side of him that no one else ever could.
There was plenty of drama and angst as they worked on continuing a relationship together from the last book, but my favorite part was their exploration into the world of BDSM. Raine always felt she was a natural submissive and wanted nothing more than to gift that submission to Dex. Their journey into that lifestyle was not only hot as hell to read , but also brought out Dex's protective and cherishing side which I instantly fell in love with.
With a little guidance they were able to comfortably mold their relationship into the D/s partnership that was perfect for them. I loved how having the discussions about the lifestyle and what they wanted from it brought them closer than most couples who don't participate in BDSM. Living that way requires a depth of honesty and trust that not many couples ever reach.
This was the perfect HEA for Dex and Raine. I couldn't have wished for a better one. I've left a lot out here, but the personal struggles they must deal with throughout their story are better read in the book instead of summarized here. I was enthralled with their romance the whole time, always rooting for them and hoping for the best...and the best is what they found, in each other.

I really bad at writing reviews because I never know what to say. I love this whole series Zoey Derrick is one of my top favorite authors. I have devoured everything she has written so far. So to my review of Devouring Raine well It was Kick ass I got it yesterday and I finished it last night at 11pm I could not put it down and when I had to I was itching to pick it back up. Raine is an awesome kick ass chick that over comes her past and loves Dex with every thing she has his demons and all which I love to see. Dex was a jerk that in the beginning I so wanted to hit him a few times but after reading his book and see what he put up with in his past I started to understand where he was coming from by the end of the book i was in love with him and it got stronger with this book. I loved seeing how Derek and Cotah were doing how the friends ship between both couples got stronger as the story went on. I loved seeing Dex and Rain learning the lifestyle together most books with the element of BDSM in it you have an experienced Dom/Domme and either a Sub that is learning or she or he is experienced you don't get to see them learning it together it was an awesome change.

OMG. Soo good. I enjoyed the way all of the characters from the first three books make a presence in Dex and Raine's story. It always takes a special someone to make the other person change their ways for good. In this instance it was Raine who changed Dex from his man whoring ways to be committed to one woman. I also liked how the author placed Dex and Raine in a D/s relationship. Both knew what they wanted and knew how to be together.
Dex to Raine: “I have been lost for so many years, wandering this earth with very little purpose until the day that I found you. Now I know who I am and where I belong."
Dex to Raine: “I love you,” I whisper. “More than life itself."

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
I FLOVE this series!!!!! It's HOT HOT HOT!!!! The characters are amazing. I love how Raine and Dex's relationship has evolved. I wasn't too sure if I would like the D/s aspect of this book but it wasn't what I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. The scenes were hot but then again I don't think Zoey Derrick knows how to not write a hot scene. (Hehehe). I absolutely love Dex. It was great to his character progress from an asshole to the loving caring man. Of course I still wanted to smack him at one point but he managed to rectify that.
I'm looking forward to reading more from Zoey Derrick. I wonder who's story is next?

Holy Cow! If you have read the rest of this series then you will know what I mean by Holy Cow! I thought I was floored with Claiming Addison, I was wrong. The way Dex engulfs Raine in this is amazing. Although he is worried about his past causing harm to Raine and feels that he is not worthy enough of her, he quickly learns that he can't,,,,, not just won't.....but HE CAN'T live without her that even though his past is catching up to him he faces it and deals with it not allowing it to do any more damage and with Raine by his side they tackle the problems and overcome them. I give this five glorious sticky stars!

Devouring Raine is the second part of Dex and Raine's story and the 5th in the 69 Bottles series and it is in my top series I have read. I really did not think you could get better then Talon but Dex is sooooo much better. Zoey the author gives you everything you want and things you never even knew you wanted in this series and I just never put them down, yes they're that good! I love rockstar books and always fall in love with the lead singer but Dex is the drummer and drummers are worth loving too!

While DEVOURING RAINE wasn't exactly what I expected, it was still a crazy hot read with a huge abundance of wicked wild hot sexy sex.
When last we saw 69 Bottles drummer Dex Harris and PR assistant Raine Montgomery, the couple had been through the emotional ringer as Dex fought his addictions and his demons while pushing his salvation away time and time again. Now that Dex realizes that Raine is his match in every way, he'll do whatever he can to convince her he means it. The couple finds common ground in BDSM, and the more they experiment with their desires, the deeper they sink into the D/s lifestyle until it consumes every aspect of their relationship. But skeletons from both of their pasts threaten their new found peace, and the entire 69 Bottles family will have to be alert to danger.
As the 5th book in the 69 Bottles Series, DEVOURING RAINE is best read after Taming Dex, but I recommend starting with the beginning of the series since overall, it's sinfully hot and fun! While Raine most certainly was NOT my favorite book girlfriend, as she constantly forgave Dex for acting like a jackwad, she somewhat redeemed herself in this follow up and started to show a tiny bit of backbone. Dex went through a complete personality transplant since his stint in Taming Dex, to the point where he's almost not even the same character. While I certainly LIKE this good guy Dex more, I didn't feel like it was keeping with the character's nature that Ms. Derrick so skillfully built up over the course of the 69 Bottles Series. The fact that the two of them found BDSM as a common ground was certainly erotic as hell…but it felt so awkward and grievously forced. When Dex's adoration morphed into curt demands and undeserved punishments, Raine changed back into the insecure and listless heroine from the last book.

When last we saw 69 Bottles drummer Dex Harris and PR assistant Raine Montgomery, the couple had been through the emotional ringer as Dex fought his addictions and his demons while pushing his salvation away time and time again. Now that Dex realizes that Raine is his match in every way, he'll do whatever he can to convince her he means it. The couple finds common ground in BDSM, and the more they experiment with their desires, the deeper they sink into the D/s lifestyle until it consumes every aspect of their relationship. But skeletons from both of their pasts threaten their new found peace, and the entire 69 Bottles family will have to be alert to danger.
As the 5th book in the 69 Bottles Series, DEVOURING RAINE is best read after Taming Dex, but I recommend starting with the beginning of the series since overall, it's sinfully hot and fun! Devouring Raine is book five in the 69 Bottles series, but part two in the story of drummer, Dex Harris and assistant, Raine Montgomery. It’s a requirement, in my opinion, to have read book four AT LEAST, though I suggest you read them all to get the most enjoyment out of this one. In the last installment, we saw how Dex gave up his man-whore ways when he falls head over heels for Raine. He’s managed to keep his addictions at bay as well. They worked through trust issues galore and had some incredibly hot sex throughout the struggle. Devouring Raine focuses on the further development of their relationship while on tour.
Zoey Derrick really shows you with these two books that she can make any combo of characters hot. I didn’t think that things could get much more panty-melting than the threesome of Addison, Talon, and Kyle. I was completely wrong. The chemistry between Raine and Dex is off the charts amazing. The looks, the dirty talk, the intensity and uniqueness of all of their sexy times are really special. So be prepared for a LOT of it, in true Zoey Derrick fashion. Dex is the perfect combo of sexy, dominant, tattooed bad boy, and Raine is his perfect match. She’s not a pushover, but she has a sweet and submissive side that Dex hones in on. Dex has always had interest in the BDSM lifestyle and the two mutually decide to explore these roles with some close friends. Raine likes some pain with her pleasure and when they all hit the playroom, sparks fly. I really enjoyed the more realistic side to discovering submission, the focus on protocol and the exploration of what a 24/7 relationship would be like. Raine finds she’s more than a little bi-curious, so be prepared for some girl on girl action as well. This was completely unexpected and caught me surprise in a good way. I liked that Dex is learning as well, and although he’s ultra alpha, he’s got a very soft side. This is a good book for those who don’t want the S/M too scary, but still with a little bite. I can see some people getting a little taken aback by how quickly Raine falls into the lifestyle, but I think it’s clear that she’s been headed this way all along. She just needed the right person to bring it out. There’s a suspense plot as well, with Raine having to contend with a threat from the past. This was well done, but I’ll admit I didn’t need it to complicate their lives. I was happy watching their relationship evolve. The ONLY distraction for me was their nicknames for each other!! My husband happens to call my son one of them, so it was jarring for me, but without that trigger, many will think it’s just sweet. This is a great conclusion to Dex and Raine’s story. I can’t wait to see what Zoey has next for us.

There was nothing about this book that I didn’t absolutely LOVE!!! For me this is Zoey’s best book yet!! I literally lost my mind reading it!!! The erotic love story between Dex and Raine will leave you breathless!!!
We really find out so much of who Dex is in this book. Yes, he’s the hot sexy drummer in the band and was the epitome of the bad boy that you want to fix and love. But in this book, we see a different Dex who has faced his demons and won, because of the love he has for Raine. He is Raine’s dominant alpha male in every sense that it implies. Dex loves Raine to the point where you almost feel jealous of the sexy intimate relationship they have. For sure he has to prove to her how much he really loves her because for as much self confidence she has, she can’t believe that this magnificent man belongs to her. He is that amazing.
The sex in this book will leave you breathless. Hot, dirty, erotic, sexy are just some of the adjectives to describe what the sex scenes are like. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the delicious dirty talk between the two of them. Dex and Raine could not keep their hands off of each other. It was their way of reinforcing each other’s love for one another. Scorching hot, no other way to describe it. Add into this that they both are interested in BDSM play and that takes the sex to a whole other level of erotic. I was totally surprised, and thought it was genius of Zoey to bring back two characters from one of her standalone books to help them figure out if the BDSM lifestyle is for them. Suffice it to say, you will be drooling!!!
We also meet up with all the other characters that we loved in the first four books. After all, we still are on a 69 Bottles tour with all the fun that goes with a rock band on a bus tour. This time around, there is complete cohesiveness with all the band members which makes their times together a total blast. They have all weathered many obstacles and banded together they are impenetrable.
The ending of this book was everything you wish it to be, but with an added bonus at the very end. Dex and Raine will go down for me as one of the hottest couples in a book. Dex totally killed it in this story. His dominance was obvious in his every word and action and the way he took care of Raine was enviable. Thank you Zoey for writing another amazing book. I adored this beautiful erotic love story between Dex and Raine.

Devouring Raine, the 5th book in the 69 Bottle series by Zoey Derrick, brings us back to Dex Harris and Raine Montgomery, the sexy couple we met in Taming Dex. If you’ve read the rest of the 69 Bottles series, you might find Devouring Raine to be a bit different. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s still an amazing read. The difference, and I may be in the minority in my thoughts, is that while the first 3 books in the series followed along the same storyline, almost a continuation of the same story, just focusing on another character. Devouring Raine is still Dex and Raine’s story, but it’s a bit more disconnected from the first book. The tougher emotional struggles we saw in Taming Dex, while still part of this book, aren’t the main focus. I feel that if you hadn’t read any of the other stories in the series, you could pick up Devouring Raine and still fully enjoy it as a great bdsm romance story. For those of you who have read the rest of the series, and even some of Zoey’s other books, you will love Devouring Raine since it has all the familiar 69 Bottles members and a surprise couple, that I will leave a surprise.
I honestly had a hard time reviewing Devouring Raine. Okay, that sounds bad. It was an awesome book! 5 stars easily! It just wasn’t quite what I expected, but I loved it nonetheless. Dex and Raine seem to have somewhat figured out their relationship but as they journey down the road of becoming a couple in the bdsm lifestyle things aren’t as clear as they’d thought. They both wonder if it’s really what they want or if Dex is simply replacing one addiction with another. There were also issues from their pasts, that we learned of in Taming Dex, that pop up and cause problems in their relationship, but it really seemed to take a back seat to the bdsm part of the story. Again, that is NOT a bad thing at all, just don’t go in expecting the Dex and Raine books to follow the same flow as the Kyle/Addison/Talon books. There is certainly no shortage of steamy sex because as the title states, Dex is devouring Raine any chance he gets.
That being said, you are going to want to grab Taming Dex and Devouring Raine at the same time because you won’t want to wait to read them both. I’m very anxious to see where Dex and Raine take their relationship and I hope to see a lot more of them in the future 69 Bottles books! Zoey Derrick has cemented her place on my list of auto-buy/must read/preorder authors.

This is book 5 in the 69 Bottles series, you really should AT THE VERY LEAST read book 4, Taming Dex before you read this one, it continues Raine and Dex' story.
And what a continuation!! I loved this one, much much more that Taming Dex. WHY?? I've no idea, its still full of Dex and Raine and all their **coughs** "activities", and there are alot of activities here, and full of Dex' past, but also, Raine's comes back to haunt her here, in a much deadlier way that Dex' did.
Following swiftly on from Taming Dex, we continue the tour for 69 Bottles, Dex and Raine's relationship moves along, at speed, let me tell ya, but still, its a pace thats right and proper for these two. Dex' past crosses with Raine's, along with her brother making an appearance. He is sent rapidly on his way, but the rest comes to a head, and as I said, its deadly.
I loved the way Dex and Raine grew into their D/s role. I loved love LOVED that neither had an inclination before they were together, I so did not see that one coming, and its brilliant! Derek and Dacotah teaching both Dex and Raine was beautifully written and came across amazingly well. I loved that, the teaching for BOTH of them. I think THIS, this teaching for them both, was what came across the best for me, and what, quite possibly, made this book, for me anyway!
I loved how Dex found himself saying he was just changing one addiction (drugs) for another, being Raine, but its not the same thing, and he sees that. Derek makes him see that. **I loved that couple, will they get a story??**
I said in my review for Taming Dex, that the first person/switching bothers me. NOT so here. Really, I can't explain why it makes a difference to some books, and not others, but here, it was perfect.

DEVOURING RAINE picks up where TAMING DEX left off. You should probably also read ONE WEEK as well for the background story. If you don’t read it before, I predict you’ll be scrambling for it afterwards anyway.
Dex proves that there is nothing more lovable than a redeemed assholian. Paired up with friends Dacotah and Derrick (from Zoey Derrick’s ONE WEEK), Dex and Raine are exploring their relationship and making the decisions that will lead to their happily ever after… if they can put their pasts behind them. I loved all of the relationships presented and the ins and outs of their interactions. The lifestyle is beautifully and realistically represented.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: about the steam factor for this story – like the rest of this series – it is a read it one-handed kind of book. Have the husband/boyfriend/boy toy or BOB on stand-by, because they are going to love this book, too, even without reading it!
I may have been heard to whine, “but I don’t want to ____” (fix dinner, eat, sleep, go to work …). I wouldn’t miss a book from Zoey Derrick if the earth was on fire and the aliens were swarming! …. And Zoey-bear, we need to talk.

Raine Montgomery ( the assistant PR Rep for 69 Bottles) and Dex Harris (Drummer for 69 Bottles) continue their torrid relationship in Devouring Raine - the follow up book to Taming Dex.
Without giving any spoilers, readers will be pulled apart and mashed back together by the emotional, soul splintering, sexy as hell and heartwarming situations within this story. It continues the exploration of the relationship between two very soul beaten and broken people, allowing them to be the glue and string that binds each other's lives back together.
What a stellar story this wonderful writer has woven through the lives of not only her 69 Bottles characters but also the complimentary characters that inhabit her other wonderful works.
I recommend readers definitely need to read Taming Dex before embarking on this story.
I would also recommend that to truly understand the relationships amongst the characters in this story, readers would enjoy reading the stories of the contributing characters in Zoey Derricks other stories including her Claiming Addison, Craving Talon and Redeeming Kyle - The Trio's Trilogy -69 Bottles. The Loves Wings series which introduces Cami and Tristans relationship and One Week - 365 Days where we fall hard for Dacotah and Dereck in their story.
A truly marvellous story and I look forward to reading more about the characters from 69 Bottles.

OMG this book was so freaking awesome. Definitely worth more then five stars. This book picks up right where Taming Dex ends. Alls I can say is you will be in for one bumpy ride. Raine and Dex are now trying out the whole couples thing and of course there is hiccups along the way.
Of course there is a little bit of a twist in the plot which I honestly could tell just by the hints in the first book of what was going to happen. Not a bad thing actually a really good thing and guaranteed to make your kindle really smolder way worse then what the first book did.
Zoey obviously knows what she is writing about when it comes to BDSM and the sex scenes because it clearly shows in her writing and the way she gets descriptive but not too over the top.
Really looking forward to the next book in this series. This has been one of my top 5 series to read this year.

Unattainable Stars but 5 on here

The anticipation of the mystery that surrounded you, the rush of eagerness you had wanting to take the first class of the day by storm, the butterflies in your tummy for the fear of the unknown was actually your pearl in the oyster to take at will. The sex between Dex and Raine was not just like that but also like the rawness of the moment. This is their true journey in finding the glo within each and the big bubba that we always wanted to have conquered.
Author Zoey Derrick has taken Dex and Raine to a new plateau that will never be surpassed by another. You will have happy tears, laugh in all the right places and want to wrap your hands around Dex in others but in the end you will virtually be surprised and in total completeness. Major Kudos

Holy hotness. I didn't think that Dex and Raine's romance could get any more intense or erotic - but I was completely wrong. Not only did their book get my lady bits tingling and my heart pounding but it also kept me on the edge of my seat - captivated and entertained by the suspenseful sub-plot. The conclusion to their story was incredible and everything I could have wanted for this couple.
Devouring Raine essentially picks right up where Taming Dex ended. The band is almost finished with their tour and all seems well. Dex and Raine's connection feels more solidified, thanks to their budding Dom/Sub relationship and the fact that they have no secrets between them. They give and take what they need. Not in a selfish way but more so because they find solace in each other.
Their second book's storyline moves quickly. Moving around between their training (which is highly arousing and seductive) to the unfolding drama of Raine's stalker issues (which was the right level of scary and tenseness). It's all seriously awesome. Both sides of the story balance well - escalating at a dramatic pace without it feeling overwhelming. It all just pulls you toward a thrilling and epic conclusion.
I loved the addition of this couple's love story to the 69 Bottles series. I never reached a point where I wanted to leave Dex and Raine's world. I would definitely recommend both Taming Dex and then Devouring Raine - they are can't miss reading!!

Seriously, this is one of my favorites in the 69 Bottles series. Raine Montgomery is a woman who knows what she wants. I tell you - she's way more understanding that I would be in some instances for sure. She's exactly what Dex Harris, drummer for 69 Bottles, needs. He's a recovering drug addict. If you've not read Taming Dex, I highly recommend reading it before you read Devouring Raine. It's a must!
So in this installment of the 69 Bottles series, Raine and Dex are fighting a few painful entities trying to rob them of their happiness. Entities that are attacking at multiple levels to beat them up. How they react is no short of either admirable or questionable. Sometimes both.
I loved the interaction between these two characters. If they were real people you could "see" the love they have for each other bouncing off the page. Author Zoey Derrick has done an amazing job making these two come to life as you read their story.
I encourage you to catch up with these two and the band to see what's going on in their crazy chaotic lives. Oh...and did I mention there's BDSM aspects in this story? Hmmm....you just have to dive right in to enjoy the playtime.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Zoey Derrick has coming next in this series.

First read the entire 69 Bottles series!!!! This book is the follow-up to Dex & Raine's story from book 4, Taming Dex. I love that each book has the entire band and new characters. Each book gets BETTER, well written and suck you in ,addictive!!! Raine had the ability to tame the wild child, crazy Dex, but for how long? Can he trade his addiction of drugs with his addiction to Raine? Can and will she be okay with this? Their story has chemistry, hot SEX and lots of needed open communication so they can overcome the many issues and obsticles thrown there way( stalkers and craz ex's, yes EX'S, and a tour and living on a tour bus,the crazy fans!!!!) They explore and experience lots of NEW things together, Being a couple- trusting and communicating with each other, his dominance and her submissiveness- being in a relationship with or without D/s lifestyle.They have a strong bond, but can they overcome all the bumps in the road? He was once a manwhore can he be a one woman devoted, committed man? Will she be enough, can he stay clean? Can she be the submissive he needs/wants? Can they have the HEA with or without the D/s lifestyle? Read for the full story. This book is for MATURE readers due to content, BDSM,F/F........

In this 5th installment of Zoey Derrick's 60 Bottle Series is amazing the chemistry Dex and Raine have, and I am talking all around chemistry, if you know what I mean. And if you don't the sex is off the charts hot, there is no thermometer that can measure the hotness of the sex scenes in this book. No is not all about the sex, but I really needed to get that out to concentrate on the rest of this review.
Is like why I keep thinking Zoey Derrick will not top her previous book, well you can scratch that. This story is packed with weirdos trying to end Zoey and Dex's relationship, but the bond between this two is amazing. They are also traveling and discovering themselves and experiencing new things both as a couple and individually. I love the first three books of the series but the psychology of this two characters is amazing and I am in love with them. I loved their interactions with Derek and Dacotah, so I will certainly be looking for their story.
Zoey has the amazing ablity, which I love, to tell stories and create situations that people can relate to, and makes you scream and fall in love with this rebels she writes about. Spectacular falls short and is a story to 1-click and I will be sharing with my friends.

The Real Deal
I will admit that going into this book, sensing that it would heavily involve BDSM, I wasn't sure if I would like it. As much as I enjoyed the rest of the series, I feared this might be the jump the shark moment where this became just like one of many books that bring out the whips and chains for no reason other than to make sales.
Instead, I read my first genuine BDSM book. This goes so far into the lifestyle, past the glossy attractive parts, and actually shows some not so good things about adopting this practice. It's not just handcuffs and blindfolds; there are also sacrifices that must be made.
I'm no prude, but I couldn't do it. And even though my personal opinions conflicted with Raine's, I still enjoyed reading her point of view. For her, this choice was an easy one to make. And when you want something that badly, you're willing to make concessions.
I appreciated the aside made partway through concerning books of this genre; it made me laugh out loud.
What I got here was what I feel to be an accurate portrayal of BSDM, combined with a love story, some rock star goodness, and more than a bit of action.
There was absolutely no need for my initial concern, and I'm eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

Holy smokes... what a hot read! Sexy, sweet, hot, steamy, fun, and totally kick ass, this book is the continuation of my favorite rocker Dex. This book will pull at your emotions and make you feel good while leaving your panties a hot mess so you have been warned.
This author is brilliant in rolling a beautifully complicated love story with enough steam to light your kindle on fire. This book will rock your ass off and make you want more. Get ready to rock, party and ride. Get ready to go back on tour and scream for 69 Bottles!
This is the continuation of seriously sexy Dex and Raine's story. The seemingly untamable Dex has done what he thought he would never do. He fell for the fierce and sassy Raine and he fell hard. Now that Raine has tamed Dex, can she keep him that way forever?
I loved Dex. Dominant, sexy, sweet, fun, and still full of laughs, he is my favorite rocker in this series by far. He is a tons of contradictions at times and I wouldn't have him any other way. And Raine.. well she definitely surprised me in this book. And the steam.... get ready for flames!

I was really looking forward to this novel as I have thoroughly enjoyed the 69 Bottles series. However, I was somewhat disappointed in this installment.
Here are some of the issues that I had:
First, during the scene where Derek is asking Raine if she has any triggers, she says no, but her elbow trigger is a huge plot point in the first novel. This should have been addressed.
Second, I felt that the entire D/s plot was somewhat shoehorned in to this novel. I might have missed it in the first novel, but I felt like these were two different characters than what we saw in the first novel and the first half of this novel.
Third, I felt that the Michael/Sam subplot was too heavy handed. The series already had one attempted rape, we did not need another.
I think that the story had come to a natural conclusion about halfway through the novel and that the additional elements were added in order to give the story some length.
I am still looking forward to the next two novels!

I am a huge fan of this series!! I have read every book and this by far is the hottest one!!!! If you have read the other books, you know that Dex was the manwhore and unable to tame. Raine has manage to keep him this far. They have a great connection but after one hot night, Dex is wanting to take it further. Experiment deeper with her. He calls on some friends to help out. He never expected for her to enjoy it so much but she did. She was called for this lifestyle. You have to comfortable with BDSM, F/F and public display of affection. It’s not a 69 bottles book without some drama, this one definitely has it. Raine’s past comes back to haunt her and the family is their to support and save her. Also watch out for clingy girls, they are crazy, like burn your apartment building down crazy. Zoey doesn’t disappoint at all with this book. You still the members of the band and the SMOKIN’ HOT SEX THAT MELTS YOUR KINDLE!!! This book is by the far the best in my opinion. I can’t wait to read Mouse and Peacock’s story next !!
