About the author

When I was twelve years old, I fell in love with J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. I never imagined that this would lead, not only to a life time of reading fantasy and science fiction, but also to writing the bibliography Encountering Enchantment: A Guide to Speculative Fiction for Teens, published by Libraries Unlimited. Currently, I am working on volume 2.

I have been a children's librarian in New Jersey for 25 years and love to make the match between children and books.
