IT is so highly interesting to Protestants to know the exact position, which their cause now holds, - and the influence which your opinions and conduct must have upon it is obviously so important, - that I shall offer no apology for endeavouring to ascertain what is the last de termination which you have formed upon this subject. For this purpose, I will take the li berty of examining a few leading particulars in the speeches which you have delivered in Par liament since I before had the honour of ad dressing you: and it is with as much satisfac tion to myself, as it can be to my readers, that I hope to comprise all that I shall say on the present occasion within a very narrow compass.
