I'm taking the time to actually write a review just because of the comments on here. The onslaught cycle were my favorite MTG books of all of them. The writing was well done and the characters are great. F the haters

There isn't even anything memorable to comment on. It pretty much says it all that I'm palpably relieved to see the next trilogy is set on Mirrodin so we can finally be in a new fucking setting with new fucking characters.

Good riddance to Kamahl, especially.

A surprise ending to the Onslaught Cycle and the Mirari Saga. The book could have moved a little faster but considering the next saga moves to a different world, it was nice to get some closure.

Having been – and occasionally still being – an avid Magic player whose favorite part of any card was always the flavor text, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this novel. King has a descriptive ability that allows you to sink in to the story with the greatest of ease and tell a wonderfully captivating and riveting story, though I don’t know how much control he had over the storyline. Regardless of whether you are a Magic player or not, I highly recommend these book since they are great standalone fantasy novels.
