Seeing people from almost two different worlds, who had such an amazing connection was beautiful. Even finding that Emma's life was far from what Cody perceived, shows that you cannot judge a book by its cover. I felt bad for Aaron having to hide his true feelings, but I am glad that he found someone who would reciprocate the love that he wanted from Cody. This was a really good read. You are drawn in to the emotions that Cody experiences as Emma's life is on the line. Beautiful ending, a must read!

The heart is a thousand-stringed instrument that can only be tuned with love.-- Unknown

A beautiful concept that I fell into easily from a new-to-me male author, but the longer I read the less enthused I became. Too many loose ends that stole potential depth that this story so demanded. The overall rush of "whim-wham-bam , thank you ma'am" feeling ran from start to finish. I loved both Emma and Cody, and I felt they deserved much more.

I will give this author another look-see.

A simply wonderful little love story that kept my heart engaged throughout.

Cody and Emma, seemingly different in most every way, but two souls that fit perfectly in an imperfect world. Struggling to make their way in the world, falling hard for one another and being the bright light that keeps them going.

With every true love their are hard times and misunderstandings and despair. And this book has it all. A journey that had more bumps than most could handle, yet the absolute adoration and longing Emma and Cody have for each other would certainly see them through. And just for the chance to hear him sing for her, it was most certainly worth the ride.

A great read for a lazy afternoon and well worth your time.

A solid 4 stars.

This is a beautiful love story of a young couple, Cody and Emma who meet and fall in love almost immediately. This is a story filled with trials and tribulations of everyday life and then Emma ends up in a coma from a car accident on their first wedding anniversary. Cody is having to face unbelievable decisions, more than any human should bear. This book leaves you wondering how you would handle this situation if it happened to you. The one thing that stands out the most though is the unbelievable connection Cody has with Emma, his all-consuming love for her and the value he places on her life.
An incredibly heart-warming story.

What a beautiful love story & oh so emotional! I was crying on first page & throughout whole book. So worth it though. Cody & Emma are from two different worlds & it was great that the can be together & their backgrounds didn't matter or the situations they were in now, it was a struggle, some ups & downs but they made it. If not going to lie, I didn't like Emma at all(Sorry...) But Cody loved her & she loved him so I guess that's all that mattered. My heart broke for Aaron even though he was an ass, I hope he can have his HEA!
Here's the msg I left Jeff:
OMG Jeff!! I just finished reading Sing to Me,(a little after 4am, read in one sitting) so good,I loved it even though I was an emotional mess since the first page & throughout... I think my heart stopped at one point close to the end & I had figured Aaron out & my heart broke for him Is it bad for me to say I thought Emma was going to die & Cody & Aaron were going to raise the babies together, that would be the next book A gfy I'm a horrible person aren't I? I glad Aaron found someone( hope he was being truthful) Will he have his own book? Thanks again for recommending your book !!

"He Sang From His Heart"

Emma Lohan lies in hospital, brain dead, with only the life sustaining equipment keeping her alive. Emma is only 20 years old, and in only an instant, her future is gone. Cody White, her young husband, is devastated, but he refuses to allow her to to die. His love is too strong, he cannot go on living without her. This leads him back to memories of how they met for the first time. Emma had been no ordinary girl... she was beautiful in Cody's eyes, strong-willed, mischievous, and deserved respect. He instantly fell in love with her and in his heart and soul knew he'd never walk away from her. She was a jewel to be treasured. But hard times come, he wasn't giving his band the support they needed to become famous, but regardless, Emma meant more to him than becoming famous. I loved this story, the romance took me back to thoughts of my past love ... the one who got away. But Cody is not going to let Emma get away. This is a very potent story of true love which the reader will never forget. Highly recommend for those who seek forever love.

How do you say goodbye to the love of your life? As Emma lays in a hospital bed, brain-dead, and only being kept alive by machines, her husband refuses to give up hope. Although being advised to pull the plug, Cody can’t live without Emma.

Cody’s life hasn’t been easy. Growing up with dysfunctional parents, the one constant in his life has always been music. But when he meets Emma, his priorities change. Emma is unlike any girl he’s ever known. She’s not only beautiful, she’s witty, smart, and demands respect. Although they face hard times, through it all their love is strong.

When tragedy strikes, Cody faces losing it all. The love of his life and the opportunity for his band to open for the Rolling Stones and potentially skyrocket their career.

Sing To Me is a powerful story about love, dreams, and overcoming struggles. With a cast of relatable characters and a story that is so emotional, you won’t be able to put the book down until you reach the last page, this book is an absolute must read.

Loved it! This book was amazing I loved how it drew you in to read more, I loved the way she corrected him on how to treat her like a lady, but at the same time is a bit of a undercover freak. The movie line thing was brilliant and something they shared together. I was heartbroken when I thought it was the end for her, and then she survived only to have her flat line, and Jeff threw in the little twist ( I wont give it away), lets just say his conversation with the plant I thought was to and about her! That totally had me on the edge of my seat not wanting to put the book down. This book will pull you in, having you wanting more and not wanted to put the book down until you are done..... JOB WELL DONE!

Love Conquers All

If you're a fan of Nicholas Sparks you need to read this!

The tension is incredible throughout the book as the characters face separation, poverty, death, misunderstandings and family pressure.

Trying to maintain a music career and begin one in fashion only adds to the stress this couple face as they build a life together.

Since the love they have for each other is strong, they have a fighting chance of making a life together, and start the family they both so desperately want.

I was captured when I read the first chapter. I was on a roll coaster ride and I did not want to get off. The story line flowed perfectly, like a beautiful summer rain... Loved it...

Not what I expected

This was a good read. The characters were real and it was very well written. I guess you have to expect it to be different considering it was written by a guy from a guy's perspective. I'm going to read more from this author, now that I know what to expect. The guy is a truly talented writer.

Good story...

I thought the writing and story was good. The characters were flawed and lovable. The only thing that made me lower a rating was the ending. It felt too rushed. But overall a good story

I guess my rating makes it clear I didn't like this book and yet I think it's extremely important to say what my main problem was - this is a Young Adult Romance novel. There are very few of those I can tolerate. If you are into this genre, you might really enjoy this book but I personally just don't have the tolerance for "kids" (even though the MC in this one are round 19-20 years old). I"m usually more careful with the books I chose but with this one, there weren't enough Tags on the GoodReads page and also not many reviews which is how I totally missed it being YA.

The romance between Emma and Cody is sweet in a very naive and childish kind of way. His best friend Aaron was a very good friend to him, and yet their constant fights made their relationship a bit exhausting. Also I didn't like the way Emma got in the way of their friendship and the way she saw his band (trying to push him to sing and do things he didn't show any desire to do before she pressed him into). There were parts I simply skimmed. For some reason I really wanted to get to the end of this one, giving it a chance I guess, and yet I had a hard time connecting with the couple. Their relationship (with their difficulties) was too cheesy and flowery for me which I totally put on their age and life experiences...

The book starts with Emma in the hospital in a life and death situation, then goes back in time to when they met, the whole buildup of their relationship, getting married and the difficulties they had to deal with, in between glimpses of Cody sitting by Emma's bed in the hospital believing in his heart she will get better even if everyone stopped believing.. The story concludes with a very happy ending, though for me it was a bit OTT.

For the young at heart (which apparently isn't me.. ;))

This was a quick beautiful story. It was a journey of emotions of two young adults struggling while learning what true love is.

I loved Emma's spirit and humor. She was full of so much confidence. Emma and Cody were so cute together. Their banter was funny and sweet.

Love isn't always perfect. There are struggles. But never any regrets.

It was well written and just a beautiful love story. I look forward to more from this new author.
